Hiya!

So after the continuing narrative of the last few posts, it's kinda nice to throw out some casual one-off tales. Yep - time for some more Random Stories ^tm starring my main character, Mai!

These are just goofy (more than usual) shorts that may or may not be worth your time. Some previous examples can be found here. Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for future stories. I really wanna try and make time to do a few new ones. Hopefully it'll happen, but either way it'd be fun to throw ideas around. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Rescue Mission

Mai: "Yuck...I hate these damp old forts. Better make this quick..."

Mai: "Hmmm - I hope this is the right place. I followed the directions to the letter. Unless Vilkas made a mistake..."

Mai: "Nah, Vilkas knows what he's doing when he writes up these contracts. This is definitely the right place. Just gotta keep my eyes open!"

Mai: "The place looks deserted though. Maybe I'm too late?"

Mai: "Maybe i'll head to the nearest town...try and pick up the trail again..."

Weak Voice: ".....is.......is someone there........help me........!"

Mai: "Looks like i'm not alone after all! That came from this corner room...."

Mai: "Gasp! Aeinar - is that you? Are you okay?"

Aeinar: "You......you know my name! I've been......been stranded here for so long......unable to move....."

Mai: "Relax, i'm from the Companions - and i'm here to rescue you! Is there anything you need? Anything at all...."

Aeinar: "Anything I need? Well......yes......yes there is. I've been......unable to move for so long. I'm so thirsty. I'd love some.........some.........."

Aeinar: "........i'd love some.............................."

Aeinar: ".............DELICIOUS MILK!!!"

Mai: "Um.......you want some milk?! I'm not too sure about that. But there's a river outside.....I hope you can swim, asshole!"

Snitch or Double-Cross Me....

Mai: "A-ha! Thought you could escape me, right?"

Mai: "Wrong! I guess our epic battle of cat and mouse is drawing to a close!"

Wolf: ".............."

Mai: "You gave it your best shot wolfy - too bad the best hunter in Skyrim was on your tail...."

Mai: "...and we can't have you terrorising any more farms..."

Wolf: "???"

Fugitive: "Get out of my way, you flea-bitten beast!"

Mai: "What the......?! Something scared it away!"

Mai: "That's just perfect! I was tracking that damn thing for over an hour!"

Mai: "Well....at least I'm not gonna have to go searching for the reason it ran off..."

Mai: "Who could it possibly be THIS time?!"

Fugitive: "Hey, girl - stop right there!"

Fugitive: "I need you to look after something for me. An enchanted sword....just hold onto it until I come back. Snitch or double-cross me and........"

Fugitive: "OH WOW!"

Mai: "Um....sorry......what were you saying?! You just kinda trailed off. Something about a sword?"

Fugitive: "Yeah.......sure........the sword.........of double-crossing......"

Fugitive: "................or something..............."

Hunter: "HEY! Don't move, scumbag!"

Hunter: "Thought you'd outrun me, eh filth? Reckon you'd steal my magic blade and just run off? Well I've caught you! Look at me when I'm speaking! Hey - what are you staring--------"

Hunter: "Oh.....................I see...................fascinating............."

Mai: "Eh.....really nice meeting you guys.....but I'm just gonna leave you two alone now if that's okay....."

Fugitive: "Whaddaya say we forget about that sword, and work together instead?! Maybe I take her from behind and you from the front?"

Hunter: "Splendid idea, my good man! Splendid...."

Mai: "By the Divines! Someone please tell me I'm not the only girl in Tamriel who has to deal with this crap!"
