PC shutting off and cannot troubleshoot the cause.
bjornk replied to Kaos Wulf's topic in Technical Support
Get a live Linux CD (or DVD/USB Stick) and test your PC with it. Doing this will rule out OS & driver possibilities. Also, you had this problem before the UPS, so I wouldn't blame the UPS for no reason. I'm pretty sure your UPS would give you at least an audible signal when there's an issue with electricity. -

List of Well Known Skyrim Bugs/Glitches & Their Solutions
bjornk replied to bjornk's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
I will include the mod solutions as alternatives, but I prefer solutions that don't require additional mods. I will also avoid including issues caused by mods. -
The solution to the Briarheart problem is to make a custom Briarheart armor that is compatible with SOS body.

Mod Organizer VS. new Nexus Mod Manager v0.6

It's good to have alternatives, but until MO has become an annoyance I'll stick with it. -
Is everyone aware that there are some missing files (mostly textures) in the "full" version? The textures for maleold as well as the ones for beast races, for instance. The "light" version does have these.

By looking at their alignments and movement, I get the impression that some of these animations were made specifically for SOS, am I right? Proper penis/vagina alignments for some of the animations seem impossible for other male bodies such as the Real Body. If that's indeed the case, could we make a body compatibility list for included animations to get the best alignments?

Try using a single monitor and a connection other than HDMI and test this with both monitors. -

Do not upgrade to Windows 10. At least not yet. Actually, I'd recommend downgrading to Windows 7. Have you searched the Net for reported problems addressing the same issue, especially with Windows 8/8.1? Like this one for instance? I've had this issue myself with my 8.1 PC (with an Asus mobo) and I would get this message even when I turned off Windows myself. It may not be related to the issue you're having. Try turning off Fast Startup (somewhere in the power options). -
PC shutting off and cannot troubleshoot the cause.

The first thing you should do is to try using the PC with another OS (could be another Windows or Linux, perhaps a live one) without installing any driver software. You may also want to check the power cables connected to your motherboard (and other devices). Make sure they are all firmly attached. If the above doesn't help, then remove all hard drives and disconnect everything including the graphics card and all peripherals. Leave only the PSU and the motherboard (including RAM, CPU w/cooler) connected to it. You may even remove them from the case. Turn on the PC and see if it randomly shuts off again. And then put together the PC one component at a time and test it with each component you've added, out of the case. I'm afraid there really isn't any other way to do it. If the PC still keeps shutting off even with minimal hardware, then start double checking your motherboard configuration and also BIOS/UEFI configuration. If nothing works then try re-installing your RAM and CPU and the cooler. Still keeps shutting off then try it with another PSU. Still keeps shutting off then your motherboard is probably faulty. A faulty CPU is less likely. -

Oops! Wrong mod. -
You need to copy the red "USKPArmorBriarHeartBody" value to the column at its right. In order to do that you need to add Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp as a master to HDT Havok Object.esp. 1. On the left, right click on HDT Havok Object.esp and choose Add Masters. 2. Choose Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp and add it as a master so that HDT Havok Object.esp can use the USKPArmorBriarHeartBody entry. 3. Find SkinBriarHeart outfit entry in HDT Havok Object.esp and then on the right pane, right click on INAM Items on the rightmost column and choose "Add" (you're basically adding a new entry to SkinBriarHeart outfit). This will create a new NULL entry. 4. Right click on the red "USKPArmorBriarHeartBody" value, choose "Edit" and then select the entire value and copy it. 5. Right click on the new NULL entry on the right and choose edit and then paste. 6. The red "USKPArmorBriarHeartBody" should now be green on yellow background. 7. Quit and save the ESP.

Yeah, looks like HDT Havok Object's ESP removes the change made by the USKP. If you want to keep using HDT Havok Object then add USKP as a master to HDT Havok Object's ESP and then add that missing entry (USKPArmorBriarHeartBody) to that plugin. Or simply delete the SkinBriarHeart outfit entry in the HDT Havok Object's ESP.

No. You should check the ones in the armor addons, armor and outfit sections. Search for the names in my post.

Might be SexLab thing. Do those animations play with correct roles when initiated by another mod? By the way, WraithSlayer, what ever happened to my voiced response suggestion? Kindly ignored? -
This is what I'm talking about (notice the difference between the naked body and the armor body): I have a custom texture for the briarheart armor to match the Real Body texture and that's probably the reason why the skin of the body in the armor looks darker, however I'm pretty sure the vanilla armor texture has the same problem. Like SoS, Real Body has the same gap between legs and feet and this is due to the incompatibility between the custom naked body and the armor body. Load all your mods into TES5Edit and see if there's any other mod that changes ArmorBriarHeart & ArmorBriarHeartEmpty armors, SkinBriarHeart outfit etc.
-
I'm not currently using SoS but I thought that would be an issue as it was with the Real Body. Since the briarheart armor is basically an armor in the shape of *vanilla* male body mesh, when you use a custom naked body for males, briarheart armor won't match the custom naked body. Mesh gaps and/or texture seams (at the neck, wrists and feet) are inevitable depending on the difference with the custom naked body. So, for every custom naked male body, a custom briarheart armor for that body (that matches the body) should be supplied. Two solutions/workarounds I can think of: - Modify the briarheart armor mesh and textures to match the SoS body. - Modify the briarheart armor in the ESP and point to SoS body meshes instead of the vanilla meshes (you'll lose the authentic briarheart look with the exposed heart). Not sure what the problem was with cloaks but there was a problem with looting briarheart bodies (bodies would disappear when looted) in the USKP but I think it has been fixed as I no longer have it.

Anyone having mesh/texture issues with briarheart armor when SOS is installed?
-
Haven't tested myself and have no intention to do it but I wouldn't rely on the image you made earlier, unless you're going to test Windows 10 on a PC that is not connected to the Internet. I seriously doubt that it's possible. If you do it while online then you'll probably have to say goodbye to your Win 7 key. And then, even if you restore the old OS using the previous image, it'll probably refuse to activate due to the serial key change. I wouldn't risk it.

Honestly, I don't recommend playing those kinds of multi-player games with total strangers, unless the service (server) is provided by a known/reputable people or companies. You might easily become a target for hackers and might get hacked. You may at least want to use a VPN service for this kind of thing.

Using a custom fan profile is a good suggestion indeed. My personal advice would be to buy a PSU that has at least 20-30% more wattage than what you'd actually need on full load. This is because PSUs are generally more power efficient between 20% and 80% load. To give you an example, if your system requires 400 Watts on full load, then you should look for at least a 480-520W PSU. On full load this PSU will be running at about 80% efficiency. You should also keep in mind that both the efficiency and the actual power that the PSU can supply will degrade in time (within a few years), so you might want to tolerate that as well.

Your PSU has nothing to do with your graphics card's temperature. Looks like 65-70C on load should be expected with these cards. ----------------------- idle load ASUS GTX 950 STRIX ---- 49°C 66°C MSI GTX 950 Gaming ---- 48°C 64°C EVGA GTX 950 SSC ------ 49°C 71°C Gigabyte GTX 950 OC --- 32°C 68°C ZOTAC GTX 950 AMP! ---- 35°C 71°C https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_950_STRIX_OC/34.html If the room temperature is high and/or the airflow in the case is poor then 75C (on load) isn't that unusual. If you insist on buying a new PSU then both Seasonic and FSP are reliable brands.

Need help with neck gap - TroubleMakers Clothing
bjornk replied to bjornk's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
I wasn't going to do it but I did. It was a very tedious work as you can imagine. I've cleaned up the meshes (clavical bones and both forearms) for the following mods, I'll upload it here if anyone's interested. TroubleMaker's Clothing Craftable (UNPB BBP) by MrTroubleMaker TroubleMakers Clothing Replacers (UNPB BBP) by MrTroubleMaker Brokefoot UNP Mashup Compilation (UNPB BBP) by MrTroubleMaker (for the Mashup and Temptress Race clothing) West Wind Combat Series - Misfit Mage - Conversion (UNPB BBP) by MrTroubleMaker Osare HotPants by anano Conversion (UNPB BBP) by MrTroubleMaker When I cleaned up the excessive weight paint on b3lisario's meshes (the ones below) and saved them, I ended up with a scaled down meshes (the in-game armor/body mesh was way smaller than it's supposed to) for some reason so had to ditch them. Ashara Princess of the Woods (UNPB BBP) by b3lisario Osare Maid Outfit (UNPB BBP) by b3lisario Osare GothicLolita (UNPB BBP) by b3lisario
