"The game isn’t exactly free-to-play—you still need to buy it for $59.99—but it no longer requires $15/month after the initial purchase". There's nothing to get excited about, IMO.

I think the actual title is "Shadow of Twisted Time". "Shadows of Twisted Time" returns very few results.

Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

I don't think it'd be that difficult to find out. You can use something like this to verify certificate fingerprints. -

bjornk replied to bjornk's topic in Technical Support
Well, yes, but at least you'd know that your connection is being intercepted by comparing fingerprints of the original certificate to the ones you get in your browser. They'd probably have to temper with the certificate authorities defined on my system as well to be able to do such a thing. -
Starting the game as the representative of the emperor sure sounds similar to the Daggerfall intro video you posted, but that's the only thing we know about the story of the game. I'm afraid I don't get the FF similarity.

Err, pay for what? -
No, not necessarily, I understand your concern though. The thing is, they base their game mechanics on D&D-like rule sets, instead of designing everything from scratch, because it's easier to implement. IMO, a modern RPG, in order to provide a more realistic and immersive experience, needs to be more like a simulation, rather than a tabletop game and should combine different game genres into one package. I wouldn't mind discussing what I have in mind in another thread, not here though.

Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?
bjornk replied to bjornk's topic in Technical Support
A proxy server is not a safe solution at all. All it may do is to allow you access to some websites that are blocked in your country and it may also hide your real IP, if it isn't a transparent one. But the truth is, they may easily be used to track your online activities. It's even possible that you have already been subjected to a transparent proxy without your consent or knowledge, as some ISPs do use those. Also in some countries DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) is used to analyze your Internet traffic, so using a proxy over an unencrypted connection won't do you any good in that case. Using a strong VPN connection is a better alternative but in some countries you can't even use common VPN protocols as the ports they use are blocked. OpenVPN might work, but the Softether which uses HTTPS is a better alternative as they can't block HTTPS traffic. VPS is another solution if you want to set up your own VPN (or proxy) server. In each of these cases though, you must use a reliable VPN/VPS/Proxy provider. -
Never played them. What made you think that?

New AMD 390X leaked specs maybe 60% faster then 290X !

Indeed, that's the reason why I'm more interested in what the 3xx series is going to offer as an alternative for the 970. -

I was talking about the new 390X, which apparently has a water-cooled version and is expected to cost around 700 USD, if not more. The price difference between a AMD R 290 and a GTX 970 is around 30-40 USD, not 80-100 Euros and your calculation totally depends on how much you pay for KW per hour and how much you use it, not to mention the cost of a higher wattage PSU. Gaming equipment are not an investment with some kind of return. I want to pay less to buy them and also want to pay less to use them. And really, where is the "bullshit" in wanting a power efficient graphics card? -

Not really interested in a power hungry, water cooled beast to be honest, no matter how fast it is. I'd be more interested in a card that can beat or is at least equal to the GTX970 in both performance and power efficiency. Only then I'd think about buying an AMD graphics card. -
New Cryptolocker variant targets gamers - encrypts game files and lock you out of your game

Here's what I recommend for a safer but a little less convenient browsing experience... - Uninstall Java - Uninstall Flash (Optional) - Use either Firefox or Chrome as a browser on Windows and try to keep it up to date. - Install an ad blocker on your browser and keep it up to date. - Turn off JavaScript on your browser and only whitelist the sites you trust as exception. - If you'll be keeping Flash, then turn on "click to play" option for plugins on your browser and only whitelist the sites you trust as exception. - Keep your Windows up to date, but only install "important" updates. Read what every update does and do not install the update if it doesn't apply to you. Optional: - Install PeerBlock and let it block ad and malware related IP addresses. Misc: - Using an account without admin rights is no doubt a good idea, however I only recommend it if your Windows installation is relatively new, otherwise you may have to re-install a lot stuff. Also, keep in in mind that doing so will make things even more inconvenient. - You may also install a Linux/Windows virtual machine and use that for Internet browsing. - Keep at least a monthly backup of your files and preferably your entire system. -
Windows Update can only install generic drivers with limited functionality. You must install the specific graphics drivers for your GPU either from your laptop manufacturer's site or from AMD/NVidia/Intel.

Can you overwrite .dds files without using GIMP?
bjornk replied to Kernel39's topic in Technical Support
It could be a problem related to your file/directory permissions, or file attributes, or locked files (i.e. currently in use for some reason) etc. -
Let's be honest here, The Witcher 2 looked like a console game and played like a console game. From its interface, to its play style, it clearly felt like a console port. It's no surprise that some people preferred playing it using controllers.

RadiantProstitution Tweaked
bjornk replied to korialstraszbob's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
I doubt the original author will come back so why not post an updated version of this as a new mod (by starting a new thread in this forum, I mean)? Didn't this mod do the same? -

Someone should post a working copy of the mod with the updated scripts for the new JContainers on the first page of this thread. Not surprisingly, people get confused about what to install, as there are more than one "updated" scripts for the mod. -
I always rob Uthgerd's house when I'm in Whiterun. I hate that bitch.

Here's mine, I hate the children in Skyrim a lot more than I hate any other NPC, and I looove killing them. Hope this wasn't too shocking for you, Mikalo.

I haven't played FNV for more than a year, and been thinking about revisiting FNV recently, perhaps a new play-through with up-to-date Sexout stuff, but now I've realized that adult modding in FNV is a pain in the ass when compared to Skyrim, no matter how helpful the FNV community is. Installing a mod that actually does something in the game, such as Loogie's Tryout or one of Odessa's mods, would require the installation of "SCR" along with a couple of other things, which is IMO the real source of pain. I managed to install it once back in 2013, thanks to RitualClarity's guide, but re-installing or updating it requires a crazy amount of work due to its dependency of quite a lot of independent mods. I don't think I'll ever do it again. I don't have that kind of motivation to replay a game with inferior graphics anyway, think I'll stick to what I already have.

Despite the beautiful animations, the game's flashy, unrealistic combat system really sucks. Also, even though you can crouch, or go prone to hide in the game, there's no option to "walk", if I'm not mistaken, which is pretty bad.

New class, Blader. This is the sixth class so far, AFAIK they have three more classes. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLem3kpTf9Y
