I think "Other Games" section would be a better place to discuss this kind of thing, and also, there are already two threads on it there. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19378-black-desert-online/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/40234-news-on-black-desert-online/ Haven't been able to play it yet, but I know it pretty well. Youtube channels such as steparu, rendermax, freemmostation, fluffyquack, BikestMan, angelofgrace etc. have featured tons of lengthy videos since earlier closed betas, some of them were pretty entertaining as well. I recommend keeping an eye on these channels for more updates and info. This game has really nice realistic graphics, great animations and a seamless open world which is very large and detailed, even though it's not even complete yet. Unfortunately, despite the great stuff, it's kind of a grindy MMO. I don't like MMOs so I'm not really excited about the game anymore but I would no doubt love to play a single player RPG on this engine. In the open beta, DAUM made some changes which kind of annoyed me. They made some of the hair styles (which were free in the closed betas) "premium" and they also put a pantyhose on the sorceress and stockings on the ranger, none of which can be taken off (you can only take off your armor while inside your home so what's point, really?). Other than those, the game still has the best character creation system that I know of. One of my favorite BD videos. It's from CBT3 and kind of showcases the environments and in-game music. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPkknWvS6q0

You don't really need animations though, do you? I mean, animations really aren't required to add some adult content into M&B. You can simply add some text into a bunch of additional dialogue and menu screens describing things in detail. For instance, you can add some additional options to "Camp" menu that will allow you to take advantage of your prisoners, much like the option to recruit them and that's only one small example for what can be done, for instance, what happens if you've been taken as a prisoner? It wouldn't even take much effort to create such a mod, all you need is some good writing skills. The real problem is however, is there anyone willing to do create such a mod for M&B or M&B Warband, now that M&B 2 Bannerlord is on the horizon. It'll probably come with a different modding mechanism. There were even talks about C# as scripting language. People may want to take a look at the new modding system and tools before starting to make such a mod, as the new game will no doubt have better graphics, bigger maps, and probably lots of new features... and bugs of course.

Decided to give "Path of Exile" a try, then shortly after I remembered everything I hated about Diablo II and gave it up. "FOnline Reloaded" seemed interesting at first, then it reminded me why always hated playing games with other people. Started the game with a female character, was harassed instantly. Won't be touching that game again, for sure. Currently playing Fallout with Fixt, but this time I cheat the hell out of it.

Without a specific logo, an art style and other things that can be associated with a specific product, that's the definition of hijacking. You have to prove that your product as a whole is "unique" to get that trademark.
-
Heh, back to square one, eh? Fallout as a trademark is only valid for a specific product, used in a specific style, with its logo and other game art and the story. You cannot extend it to include anything that has the word fallout in it. You basically think that in order to protect their interests in the market, they have the right to threaten or sue "game developers", but only game developers, who wish to use the term "fallout" in their product title, even if the game has nothing to do with the Fallout series. That's basically what you claim. So, for instance, let's assume that as an indie game developer, I've created a game that takes place in a post-nuclear war world, which has nothing to do with the world of Fallout, and I wish to title it as, say "The Fallout", or "Fallout Shelter", and they have the right to sue me for that? Then it's nothing but hijacking a common term.
-
The indie game in question has nothing to do with the trademark they own for the Fallout game series. Oh perhaps you've seen a Fallout logo, something else associated with the game series in that indie game, that none of us have been able to?
-
The term "fallout" had existed long before the Fallout game series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_fallout The indie dev in question doesn't even use that term. His game clearly has nothing to do with the Fallout game series and he gets threatened because he didn't spell it as Fall-out.
-
It is a common technical term. That's why I linked this in the above post ->fallout. If the guy were using the title "Fallout" along with its specific logo, or with something else that we all associate with the game series, such as the Vault Boy, then I'd agree with you.

Silencio 352 comes with two standard fans with 3-pin connectors (so no PWM, but I think the Asus motherboard allows you to control their speed by changing the DC voltage). They are not too loud though, but not particularly silent either. I've added one additional fan to the front though, just in case. Keep in mind that the Corsair is bigger and heavier than Silencio 352. If the size or weight of the case matters to you then stick with Silencio.
-
So, basically by buying the game's rights from Interplay, Zenimax has kidnapped the common term "fallout" and you guys think it's their right to threaten people who want to use the term in their products with lawsuits, because some idiot might associate a title featuring the word "fallout" with the game "Fallout" due to its popularity. If your laws allow this kind of hijacking of common words/terms/names then you are fucked.

The list looks okay to me. For reference, here's roughly what I bought for my build (I already had the rest): - Cooler Master Silencio 352 - Kingston HyperX Savage 2x4GB CL9 XMP 1600MHz (sadly the retailer didn't have the Crucial memory that I've recommended) - Asus H97M-PLUS - Intel i7 4790 3.6 GHz (the one without 'K') - Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD - WD Caviar Blue 1TB As I mentioned earlier, I really can't recommend the Asus as a motherboard though. Also keep in mind that this motherboard has only 2 connectors for case fans, so in order to use 3 fans or more, you'll have to connect them to either directly to the PSU or to an additional fan controller. (I was thinking of buying the MSI motherboard on your list, but upon seeing the popularity of the Asus at Newegg, I then changed my mind and now I'm not at all happy with the decision). As for the Cooler Master case, it's cute and compact. However, there really isn't much space at the back for cable management. Get your self an additional package of zip-ties and tie up everything closely, otherwise you may have difficulty closing the case's side panel. You may consider Corsair Obsidian 350D if it's within your budget. It definitely has better options for cable management and much easier to work with. If you can't afford it, Silencio is fine. Also, I really can't say that the noise dampening material on the case makes any difference, it's just as noisy as any other case. If you want silence get proper case fans (with less than 16dB).

In the capitalist world, if you are rich enough, you can buy lawyers and more importantly politicians to protect your interests. They can arrange the laws according to your needs in order to protect your interests. If you're poor, or if there's no one around to stand for you, heh, tough luck...

I once wrote a novel and gave it a title "The Table", yeah, just made it up out of my ass, then somehow the novel got popular. So now, nobody's allowed to use the word "Table" in anything they create, or I'm gonna sue them, cause it's my goddamn "intellectual property"! I can sell it to you if you wish, for a hefty sum of course...
-
I think I'm gonna move my mods over here as well.

Now that I have a first-hand experience with their new motherboards, I really wouldn't recommend Asus as a motherboard brand. Careful users may have noticed that there are problems with their motherboards either with their drivers or with the onboard devices which are still unresolved even after a few years upon their release. If you go and check the ROG forums you'll find a couple of threads about several such problems. So, first of all, unless you want to safely overclock your CPU then there's no need to buy a Z97 motherboard. H97 motherboards also have overclocking capabilities BTW. Go for a motherboard with a minimal set of on-board devices, just the standard ones (USB 3.0, Gigabit Eth, Realtek on-board sound etc.) should be enough. Don't pay for any other feature you won't be using. The on-board audio on Asus H97M-PLUS (which I bought) really is a piece of shit, so don't believe the false advertisement about their custom capacitors will enhance the sound etc, it's all bullshit. I'll go with MSI (or Gigabyte) for the motherboard for my next build. MSI seems to have the best software for motherboards and graphic cards BTW. Keep in mind that with the budget you have, you're basically *renting* a motherboard for five or six years at best.

Place your bets for Bethesda's E3 2015
bjornk replied to maybenexttime's topic in Fallout General Discussion
No, if they ever attempt to do something like that, then they are fucked. If they are going to announce anything at the E3, it won't be TES6, I'm pretty sure of it. -
Before buying a PC power supply, please do read its review at one of the web sites below: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Review_Cat&recatnum=13 http://www.kitguru.net/category/components/power-supplies/ - Never buy a PSU with a low overall score. - Try to choose one with a high "build quality" score. - If the PSU employs crappy capacitors (such as CapXon, Teapo etc.) DO NOT buy it, as it is very likely that it'll have a very short life. - Also keep in mind that not every model of the same brand has the same quality. Low end models of Corsair PSUs, such as the VS series, employs the aforementioned capacitors, for instance.

SexLab Solutions 4.0.2 (07-Sep-2015)

If only your mod didn't require DD. I stay clear of everything that use those. -
These days even the crappiest 2d game is sold with a cover art including a sexy female figure, even though there's not a single female character in the game.
-
That would have been the only reason for me to buy a Witcher game for anything more than 10 bucks.

If it isn't already suggested, can we add something for Sild the Warlock of Rannveig's Fast? You know, if you fall into his trap maybe you could offer something in return for your freedom. -
You could get a Windows 7 or 8 for free either from dreamspark.com or microsoftstore.com, if you're a student in an institution working with Microsoft, or you may at least get a discount.

The cubic Corsair case doesn't have any external drive bays, so you won't be able to install an optical drive, which is, I think, bad. Cubic cases, no matter what form factor they support, would always take up more space on your desktop, one should also keep that in mind. Cooler Master isn't a brand name that I like, but overall, I think I'd go with the Silencio 352 for the case.

The Corsair micro ATX case looks cool, I've been ignoring it thinking that it's an ATX case, as they have indeed a similarly designed ATX case. Corsair also has another cool case "Obsidian 350D", although probably costs too much for the budget. Anyway, there's another micro ATX case with an interesting design "Aerocool DS Cube". You basically mount the motherboard horizontally, although it lacks the front fan dust filter.
