But the memory that can be allocated and used directly will increase significantly, so better performance, and more contents, and less disk access.
And might also mean more leaked memory. Always look on the dark side of life...

Presumably, a 82 year-old would have other things to worry about.

The future sucks. I'd rather go back to 1985 if I had the DeLorean.
Too bad, none of us will be around to celebrate the Great War on Saturday, October 23, 2077.

You're right, of course. I just thought you might think of a workaround or something.

I think a brothel should be located outside a town/city, but still relatively safe place to travel, such as the farms around Whiterun or the Honningbrew Meadery. There isn't such a building in the game as far as I know, but there might be a few empty areas that can be used to accommodate such a building. You might want to search Nexus for custom player homes that utilize one of those locations.

I think Goldenglow Estate is a better (if not the best) place for a brothel than the manor. Could even be renamed as Goldenglobe Estate as a reference to the porn studio in Fallout 2.

It's not really a problem for me, but it may be a problem for the server, which is known to have had issues with free disk space.

I captured that image on Windows XP running inside a VM and saved as PNG with Paint (of XP). Perhaps that's the problem. Maybe there's a format difference?
Did the same with the image above and it has the same issue. The size of the original image is 422 KB but the uploader reports it as 1.85 MB. I'm using the non-Flash uploader (I think), I don't have Flash installed.
Edit: And what about the resolution difference? Both of these images are 1650x1080 but the uploaded image is 1440x900. Looks like they have been resized. Might be the reason for the size difference.

I've just posted a PNG image in this post. The size of the image is 351 KB (360,168 bytes) but the attachment utility reports it as 1.63 MB! I haven't noticed this before, could this be a problem with the site? Or is there some sort of conversion between PNG formats?
PS. If I download the uploaded image, it is indeed 1.63 MB (1,714,417 bytes).
The size for the above JPEG is reported correctly as 7.78 KB (7,969 bytes).

Even if they don't you can take that info and go to a Canada computer place like
Isn't that the place the Linus kid (of YT fame) works (or has worked) at?

I'm currently playing FO2 with RP 2.3.3. Encounters are brutal, but the challenge is fun and the loot is rewarding as well (well, except you can't loot armor). I highly recommend playing it to every Fallout fan. And try playing it unconventionally (i.e. try different routes, do things that you're not supposed to do, going directly to SF is one of them. You may even cheat if you wish). Whenever I get bored of Skyrim, I start playing it. Hmm, I might even start playing FO with Fixt...

Some of your game files were also corrupt obviously. Keep in mind that corrupt files are an indication of a dying hard drive.

I think you are right. It did crash when it was on main menu.
Sorry for being very noob but how do you run `SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated command window (CMD) for Windows files` at windows 10??Ok found it. running it. Will post the results. Thanks a lot

Edit: Ok I run SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated command window (CMD) for Windows files. It stated that there were corrupt files but that it fixed them. Did the steam check. Run Skyrim at main menu did Alt Tab and waited. Exactly after 14 minutes the game just shut down.
So now I will try a complete full reinstall of Skyrim. But honestly what can cause a such a stupid issue. This makes no sense at all.
What were the corrupt files that SFC fixed? See the .log file inside %windir%\logs\CBS\. There might be more corrupt files (DirectX files, driver files etc.) in your system that SFC wasn't able to check or fix. I recommend running a disk check on that partition. Are you absolutely sure that there's no errors or warnings displayed in Event Viewer? Did you find out which process were using the disk when the game crashed?
I also recommend searching for files in your system that are modified or created at the exact time of the crash. One of those might give you a clue about what's going on.
You may be experiencing a hard drive failure. Here's what I recommend you to do:
- View the S.M.A.R.T data using one of the links below and see if your disk is okay. Pay attention to "Reallocated Sector Count". On a healthy drive the value should be zero.

- Backup your important data and run a full disk check. Here's how to do it on Windows 10.

When did you notice you got this on your pc ?? yesterday something really weird happened when viewing youtube movie and seemed to have switched off my antivirus software. not sure if it was the same thing, but i had to revert my pc to previous state in order to fix what ever it was that installed itself during the viewing a movie on youtube.
Which browser? It could be the work of an extension. Do you also have Java (or Flash) installed?

Open the Resource Monitor (%windir%\system32\perfmon.exe /res), go to Disk tab and see which process(es) is using the disk and which file(s) is being used.
Do you think it's possible that the game had already crashed when you saw the 100% disk usage? The OS may launch a bunch of services (=programs, such as Windows Error Reporting etc.) that might read/write things from/to your disk when a crash occurs.
If the game crashes while waiting on the main menu or running in the background, then it's not an issue of overheating. Could it be a corrupt game file or perhaps a Windows file? I suggest running SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated command window (CMD) for Windows files and then a Steam validation on game files.

If there's one person in Skyrim that can own a brothel, it has to be Maven. She has a lodge that can be converted into a brothel.

The opening songs in the original games had nothing to do with the games themselves. Mark Morgan's original score sets the tone for the Fallout universe. There is nothing in those games that suggests the people in the Fallout universe listened to the 50s music specifically. If it's okay to have casinos and radio stations playing the 50's music in the Fallout universe then you may as well add some more that play more modern music. It's nothing but a design choice.

I like how people always say 'this game is a more dumbed down version of the previous game'. People said that when Oblivion came out. Then people were actually defending Oblivion, saying that Skyrim is a big pile of steaming shit. And now Skyrim is supposed to be the game that Fallout 4 can't ever be? I mean, there was some merit to people saying that Oblivion was a very simplified version of Morrowind, but the other claims are absolutely bonkers.
The "dumbing down" of TES, equally valid for Fallout...

Skyrim with tons of mods is probably more taxing for your CPU & GPU compared to StarCraft 2.
If it's a case of overheating GPU:
- Check the fans are indeed spinning.
- Clean the dust and dirt on fans, heat sinks and air vents.
- There may be a setting in your BIOS to keep the fans "always on", you may want to turn that on.
- If the room temperature is above 25C then get an air conditioner if you want to play games on a laptop.

As the others have pointed out, it could be several things:
If the black texture is random body or armor:
- Not enough VRAM
If the black texture always the same body or armor:
- Not enough VRAM (the texture for the body/armor is too large)
- Corrupt texture file (diffuse, normal, specular etc.)
- A problem with mipmaps in the texture.
Download GPU-Z and keep it running in the background while playing the game. It should tell you about the maximum available VRAM and the maximum VRAM usage. If the max usage hits the physical limit then remove some of your large texture mods or optimize them (reduce their resolution, make them smaller in size).
If there's a problem with a specific texture, you may open it with GIMP or Photoshop and save it again properly, regenerating its mipmaps.

I'd just get the US English version, that's the least problematic version IMO. I personally don't care about localized services and other shit.

You can buy still buy a 7 from Amazon (I hope).

It doesn't sound like an issue specific to Skyrim. Can you play another 3D game without a crash for more than 15 minutes?
You are playing on a laptop, right? Maybe it's an issue with overheating GPU?
