  1. Oh, about the screenshot: the leaker said the compression was horrid, so you cant take as the in game quality.

    Also:

    -No repairs

    -Contextual cover

    -Theft system is skyrim like

-Survival mode does not come with fatigue/thirst/hunger like Hardcore mode in NV

-Dialogue options with which you can talk yourself out of situations are colored orange/red/perhaps more

I should have known better than to hope Survival Mode meant just that.

  2. Looking at these leaked shots I'm struggling to understand the Minimum/Recommended specs Bethesda put out. Especially the recommended. It doesn't look horrible, but it really doesn't look like much of a step-up from Skyrim in my eyes.

Also the Pip-Boy is still an eyesore that I will get rid of as soon as possible. Not a fan of the super minimalist UI either.

  3. DreamGirl? Guys... guys?

DG is still the finest body I've come across, not sure if UUNP is "better" now technically, I do know there's a UUNP version of DG. I seem to have better "oomph" from HDT out of CBBE Bodyslide than I do UUNP, so if that kinda thing matters to you then maybe stick with CBBE.

In my experience UUNP's HDT is more subtle than CBBE. I often switch back and forth depending on my whim. If you use MO you can just set up two profiles, one for CBBE and one for UUNP. :) Why choose one?

  4. I don't use ENB, I do use some texture replacers, not many. I don't suspect it's a mod issue as you can see it happens in New Vegas as well... I just played Borderlands 2 for like 2 hours and had no weirness so it must be an issue with Bethesda games in general and Windows 10.

I have updated to the latest AMD Catalyst Driver for Windows 10 but it persists. This never happened to me when I had Windows 8.1 and my mod setup did not change between updating.

Should I just wait it out and hope a future driver fixes this? I'm suspecting a driver issue.

What is so strange about this error is that it doesn't effect every NPC, like most are normal but a few get that shadow strangeness. It's also followed by some shadows on the ground losing their detail and becoming blocky and/or pure black.

Got a few new screenshots that show the issue on the environment: http://imgur.com/a/FBgv0

    This is driving me insane.

  5. So ever since I updated to Windows 10, I've had this annoying issue with Shadows in Skyrim. After playing for a bit NPC's and sometimes my own character will get this horrid shadow effect on their faces. The thing is it's totally random and doesn't effect everyone. Also shadows on the ground eventually turn solid black and blocky.

Here are some screenshots to show what I'm talking about, they are from New Vegas but it's the exact same thing I'm seeing in Skyrim. It is only these two games that have this problem:

As you can see the further away I get the worse it looks, close up it's almost gone but you can still see a hint of it. I use an AMD Card, could it be an issue with the Windows 10 drivers? This never happened before the update. >.> I'm at a loss as to the cause.

Are there any hair mods that don't go bald under hats like Pre-War Bonnet and such? or is there a guide to making hairs like Ling's compatible with hats? I love my bonnets but hate being bald underneath 'em. :)

Custom hairs usually don't come with the nohat egm files since they would have to be made from scratch.  Without those, player made hair behaves like a hat, but without the nohat support.  That's why hats make characters bald.

There are a few hair mods that have nohat hair models in the nifs, but those are hit and miss since they are so old (Rens and Korean rips from Oblivion).  When Gloss House was first developing Mojave Delight we ran into this problem.  Making good quality egms from hi-poly hair meshes was just too much work.

Something else to consider is how much volume modded hairs have.  Even if there were egms the nohat versions would probably clip through the hats.  Great-big Texas hair will do that.  :P

Thanks for the response. It was worth a shot asking. :)

  7. Did the Helios one party again today. I got quite a few "double" approaches, like getting approached by one actor, starting convo, then as soon as the convo ended, another actor comes and starts dialogue. This messes up the camera because you get the "zoom" effect and can be particularly problematic if the previous convo ended while leading to sex.

Also, I really think the "box bitch" box is more hassle than its worth. It causes the framerate to drop dramatically, frequently causes clipping, and NPCs try to walk through it because they can't navmesh around it. It's a nice concept, but I think overall there are too many negatives to justify it being used. I'd also maybe reduce the number of NPCs at the party a little, as there's quite a lot going on, which further adds to the framerate drop.

Oh, and lastly, we need some lights activated there during that scene for people like me that use weather mods that change the default darkness of the nights. It's a little annoying having to talk around there with the pipboy always tuned on!

I can agree with all of this. This post sums up most of my issues with the Helios One Party. It's an awesome scenario but I can't really play it because of insane frame drops. I think the box is the worst offender.

  8. Forgive me if I missed it somewhere, but is that "box" in the room when dealing with the Powder Gangers at the Vault still there? It killed my framerate for some unknown reason so I've never played through that scenario too much.

He never put me in it or had me use it, but everytime it was on my screen my game became a slideshow. It's the one that is next to the bed.

  9. Alright, one more question.

Anybody know how I can disable the dialogue option that ask their previous sex partner to wash the spunk off after sex?

It's even more annoying if you have the Vault 13 Canteen item. Every time you take a drink it asks. There's an option in one of the menus of the MCM to just "always" clean up in water sources but I dunno about asking your partner.

I misread, it's a dialogue option. I was thinking about the washing up message that pops up when using water. Disregard. :P

  10. I had it all installed right. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I got dragged away for July 4th stuff on the 3rd (I don't know either). :P Thanks for the reply and the fix, Daniel. I was certain I messed up somewhere but it appears not. Since you're here as well, dTd, can I add this problem presents itself in your Vanilla Armor/Clothing replacer also but it's not as obvious. It only shows itself when you're not wearing gauntlets/gloves. I only noticed it because I was poor in-game and only had enough for an Iron Cuiress and nothing else. :P

You're the best. Just noticed I called it Dream Gir... I'm dumb sometimes. THANKS AGAIN!

  11. I use the Dream Girl body mod and have been having a strange issue with using some Armor/Clothing conversions, namely the UNP Minidresses Collection converted to Dream Girl: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49204/?

Now in third person camera mode everything is perfect but when I switch to First Person, I get this: http://i.imgur.com/0UtUlOR.jpg

My question is, is this a First Person mesh issue or something else? When wearing no clothes, everything is normal so I'm curious as to what's causing this.
