Most badly needed mods as we enter Week 3 of Fallout 4
Warrunner replied to marv4791's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
Holstered weapons is a big one for me, I'd also like to see the ability to tape flashlights to your gun as a barrel mod and or an armor mod. I'd also like to see that Chinese Assault Rifle that was found un-textured in the install files implemented and a few non-minigun heavy weapons from the main series available; M60 machine guns come to mind especially. The generic Assault Rifle from 3 and NV would be nice, along with the Hunting Shotgun from NV so you have something between the double barrel and the combat shotty. If we're still talking gear, some kind of grenade launcher would be pretty nice too along with everyone's series favorite, the Pancor Jackhammer. Also some kind of spawn mod system, so you can tell places how much stuff to spawn. I'd love the ability to tell the areas with Feral Ghouls to double or triple the spawn rates, as tearing through them with an automatic weapon is one of the most fun things in the game, imo. -
Deviously Cursed Loot 5.1 (2015-11-23)
Warrunner replied to Kimy's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
I had Nioverride installed so I assumed that wasn't the problem. It was the latest updated one too, but SG3 was also giving me issues and someone there said it sounded like the same thing... so I reinstalled it replacing all the files that were there and... now everything works. I guess something in it got bjorked along the way. -
I did a full uninstall of SGO2... I'm not sure what else I am using that could be using NetImmerse....

I mean simply from being pregnant- breasts get bigger due to milk for about half a second on game load and then go back to normal size, for example.

Deviously Cursed Loot 5.1 (2015-11-23)
Warrunner replied to Kimy's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
I'm running into issues with the custom items not being recognized by HDT- the default and expansion DD items are fine, it appears to just be the slave boots and the exhabitionist boots that don't want to play nice. I did try a completely new save and reinstalled HDT to make sure, and still getting that error. Everything else I have with HDT is working fine still. Dunno if its something on my end or not, sadly. -
Anyone else having issues getting the inflation to work? I had Fill Her Up and DCL going but turned off both of their inflation effects, and I'm getting nothing. Everything else seems to work fine though! I know I have a skeleton that supports it, my character was waddling around with a cum-filled belly from FHU before I turned all that off and uninstalled stuff to make sure SGO3 was coming in clean. Ran Savetool, got nothing.

(Disscussion) Fallout 4 Adult Mods
Warrunner replied to ShadowThief's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
I would be highly, highly amused if as part of a slave mod the Railroad became enemies with you as long as you had a slave following you around. Also yes, I think Fallout 4 may be the very first game in the entire series not to include slavers in some form or other. Even if we're not talking about adult options, it is conspicuously absent. I'm not sure I'd want to buy slaves because of IC reasons, but it'd be neat to have the max level Charisma perk (where you can hold a gun on a lower level NPC and force them to submit to you) let you enslave NPC's like Raiders... make them join a chain gang to reform them kind of thing. Maybe add jail cells you can build in Settlements, let them earn their way out via prostitution... -
Bethesda has heard our complaints, and replied
Warrunner replied to Sacremas's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
I still don't know what bugs apparently exist... I never encountered any of the game-breaking ones. -
At what point does the human end and machine begin? Let's take Ghost in the Shell, for example. If you are full on cybernetic, with half your brain replaced with machines, are you still human? What is the difference between that and a machine created that uses vat-grown brain tissue as part of its computer hardware? If you have the ability to download and manipulate memories in a human being, or create wholly new states of consciousness in that human (Which has been demonstrated to be within the tech limitations of Fallout's setting- that vault in F3 running the endless simulations...), at what point do you decide that the brain is little more than a biological computer? Transhumanism, which is really the main story in Fallout 4, gets into some seriously weird philosophical places. I can't honestly say that, in the face of a machine that was sapient and self determining, I wouldn't be treating it like an equal. I think many humans would get to that point too- we tend to imprint human personalities and emotional bonds on to things. How many people fall in love with say, their car? Not in the Loverlab sense of course, but form an emotional bond with it? It is a machine, it has less sentience then an insect, yet over and over people form those emotional bonds with the things. It stands by you, its been there for you, etc etc. Even though it has no choice. Imagine that same effect once you start seeing robots with full on AIs and or provable sapience?

The only thing I find myself disliking is the hamfisted second half of the main plot. I won't spoiler anything, but I did post in the spoilers thread how I would have changed it. That said, there are some complaints here that seem nonsensical to me. On Companions: -There were 8 in F3, 8 in NV, 13 in F4. There are far more in Skyrim, but those were very largely copy-paste jobs with almost no back story and certainly didn't have quests available for the most part. On Romance: -Skyrim had a marriage system, that system literally involved putting on a necklace and wandering up to someone and asking them if they wanted to get married. F4 at least requires you to actually get to maximum friendship level first, which takes time and doing things that character likes. On size: -It is smaller, but it is very much denser and more importantly, the dense downtown urban area doesn't have loading screens. It is smaller though. On Quests: -All the little "Go here, do this, come back" quests are radiant, they are exactly as generic as Skyrims were. On Factions: -There are absolutely factions you can join: 4 of them. The interaction between factions could use work, like I said before, but they are there. On Bugs: -I have not encountered a single game-breaking bug nor have I CTD'd once in approximately 100 hours of gameplay. YMMV. On Performance: -I have been maintaining a constant framerate on ultra settings with no problems at all and no stutter anywhere, with pic related hardware... On Gameplay: -The gameplay in this feels absolutely better than any other game made using this engine, hands down. It is very solid and smooth. Powered Armor feels fantastic and enemies with it are a serious threat. The guns feel solid as hell, it is across the board harder, feral ghouls most notably being terrifying now. On Lack of New Enemies -There are 5 new enemies: Mirelurk Queens, Mirelurk Hunters, Blood Bugs, Radstags and Assaultrons. NV added 2, cazadores and stalkers. There are things that absolutely can be complained about, most notably the way the inter-faction interactions are dealt with, the UI, the Settler pathing and tendency to just stop doing what they were doing, the very high frequency of radiant "come help us" quests from Settlements that you've gotten the defenses way high on. (My Sanctuary has 120 defense- how are they worried about a feral ghoul attack when the place is ringed by machine gun turrets?), and for fuck sake who thought this conversation tree method was a good idea? Let us face it, Witcher 3 is a better RPG and very probably a better game on the whole, but that doesn't particularly make Fallout 4 bad. It isn't a bad game at all.

Right, so I have beaten the game, siding with the Brotherhood and then reverted a save and sided with the Minutemen.... Spoiler I was thinking about it in the shower, and if it had been me writing the ending the options would have looked more like this: 1) Choose Brotherhood -> Difficult Speech Check -> Allow the Railroad to live -> Use railroad as Asset to hunt rogue Synths in the rest of the country 2) Choose Minutemen -> Difficult Speech Check ->Convince Brotherhood of the worth of Minutemen, Brotherhood allows autonomy -> Don't have to blow up the BoS -> BoS Blimp leaves and the Cambridge Police Station becomes heavily fortified BoS Fort that offers quests/merchants -> BoS Patrols still in wasteland but reduced in frequency 3) Choose Institute ->Difficult Speech Check -> Don't destroy Railroad and instead use it as in Brotherhood Ending 4) Choose Railroad -> Difficult Speech Check -> Don't attack the Brotherhood, instead slip intel to Brotherhood and have fake HQ Destroyed -> BoS leaves as per Minutemen Ending If these checks are failed then the existent endings are what you'd get. Side notes: -If Railroad or Minutemen alt endings are chosen, Danse never becomes aware he is a Synth and he stays in Cambridge as commanding officer of remaining BoS forces -Airport area in any alt ending where the BoS leaves becomes BoS Outpost who contract Minutemen for additional security: As long as Settlement is held, Vertibird grenades and occasional vertibird wasteland patrols continue -If Minutemen alt ending chosen, BoS building patterns become available for Settlements (Eg, the deployable barricades and tesla tower looking things, etc) -In any ending in which BoS survives, BoS diplomats with a single Powered Armor bodyguard spawn in Diamond City and Goodneighbor- they don't do anything but add flavor -If any Minutemen ending is used, gain ability to create, arm, and send out Minutemen Patrols along routes similar to Caravan routes. Quality of Life Changes: These aren't really related to the story endings, but are things that mildly annoy me anyway. 1) Game is using Skyrim Engine, the RL Minutemen have iconic figures that rode horses, why isn't there some way to get mutant horses to ride around on? The engine clearly supports it. You could also give them to NPCs. Going US Cavalry style with a Hunting Rifle from the back of an mutant horse barded in salvaged car parts would be the tits. 2) With sufficient Science skill you should be able to sneak up on Robots and reprogram them into Settlers, sending them to your various towns. Combat robots of any type assigned to Guard Towers should give significant Defense score boosts. 3) Why can you not get a Flashlight as an barrel extension on the various guns? 4) Why can you not use nuclear materials to refuel Fusion Cores as an option in the power armor station? 5) Why isn't there an option to tell the snap-to effect on settlement construction to turn off? I enjoyed the game, and there is quite a-lot of things that modders should be able to play with pretty thoroughly.

*Spoilers* Help with companions. Slight spoilers about CURIE.
Warrunner replied to Deathmaw's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
I noticed this myself, so I observed her behavior more carefully once, using the godmode command. She doesn't have a default weapon in human form, only her fists. But her AI seems to want to be ranged, so when she runs out of ammo for whatever gun you've given her, she'll run to the nearest dead body (friend or enemy) and grab their gun and start shooting. She'll only revert to melee if there's nothing with ammo around. I suspect the not having a default weapon thing is a bug, but watching the AI react to it is interesting. You can observe this behavior in other companions too- I had Nick spot an enemy with a better gun than him, loot that gun, shoot with it until he ran out of ammo, then go back to using his default. What I am unsure of is what happens if you give a weapon with the same ammo type as their default to them. For example, you have a Settler that comes with a .38 pipe pistol, if you give him a Hardened recoil compensated .38 Pipe automatic Rifle, will that Settler still have infinite ammo? I have been thoroughly arming all my Settlers with all that surplus armor and weapons from killing a bajillion raiders, but the actual Settlement attacks have been few and far between because of it.. my Sanctuary has 132 Defense, for example, so I haven't really been able to test this much. If it doesn't happen pretty quickly once GECK comes out, I will probably go make my own tiny mod that just gives her in human form a default weapon, like a laser pistol or some such, since NPC default weapons have infinite ammo. -
FO4 Sexiest Vanilla Female Player Character Contest
Warrunner replied to bjornk's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
I wouldn't necessarily call her Barbie Doll Beautiful or anything, but I like how mine turned out. -
I am considering siding with the Minutemen, so avoiding all the nonsense in general. At what point can you not do that anymore? Spoiler I've been inside the institute, met Shaun, and stolen the data. I got there via the Minutemen, building the teleporting myself and such, and gave the holotape to the guy in Sanctuary. I then went and talked to the Brotherhood, who were pissy at me for going in without telling them, and now they want me to go get Dr. Li out of there... I know you hit a point where the Minutemen at Castle come under attack by the Institute and that sort of triggers the end sequence for them, but when does that actually happen? Do you have to take and establish every single settlement first?

What exactly doesn't work if you don't start a new game with this version? Can you still do all the basic stuff and just disable the new quests or...? I am really enjoying my current character and was hoping to not have to completely restart... -

(Disscussion) Fallout 4 Adult Mods
Warrunner replied to ShadowThief's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
Let me play devils advocate here for a second; if they DID swipe alot of animations and such from Skyrim, does that not mean that you could make a mod for a riot shield and possibly have melee animations for it already? Because that would be pretty neat. -
So far, the only thing I'd complain about lightning wise is that it feels like dark areas and nightfall should be a touch darker. The god-rays and general lighting is quite good however, at least on Ultra settings. This is what an area with a lounge singer I found looked like, the candles and florescent Open sign giving off their own light sources, while the spotlight is on the ceiling like 40 feet behind me, giving off shadows. Also, Codsworth stage-dived a sultry lounge singer; I guess he really did get lonely.

What Type of Mods you most excited for?
Warrunner replied to BjergerKing's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
More firearms- I like the junk ones, but I've been spoiled by the Fallout 3 mod that adds the giant pile of guns that features every weapon from every game in the series. I'd love to ditch the minigun in exchange for like... a belt-fed M60 like you could get in Fallout Tactics... -
Can I play Fallout 4 on this PC?
Warrunner replied to deividkamui's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
This is where my PC sits hardware wise- I have it running at absolutely maximum settings across the board with it hovering in the 50-60fps range. -

Well, in Fallout 4 you certainly won't have to come up with justification for gas masks. -
Welfare attitudes? I made no suggestion at all along those lines, I am merely pointing out that there is an inherent limitation with using full voice acting for everything, in that it rapidly balloons the budget of a game to a ridiculous level. There are plenty of amateurs who would be perfectly happy to record a bunch of lines for a grand + season pass/free copy of the game and their name in the credits. Think of it as crowd-funding your voice talent. Professional voice actors cost alot of money, and that directly contributes to the dumbing down of RPGs since the days of text-based conversations. You could get into chained conversations with random NPCs in Morrowind based on rumors you'd heard and quests you'd done and places you'd been vs what that NPC knew AND how well that NPC liked you. Because it was entirely text other than a greeting, you could talk to a single farmer for as much if not more information then all the NPC's in Whiterun combined. Witcher 3 got away with the huge amounts of voice acting with a tiny budget because they used talented no-names instead of expensive guilded actors. Bethesda has a history of getting big, well known and expensive actors (Patrick Stewart for example) and blowing like a third of their VA budget on that one person. I hope, given the ridiculous financial success that Skyrim was, they've budgeted enough to get around this, but who knows?
