  1. Caliente announced.....

True, but I didn't like the Skyrim vanilla body at all and I also stopped playing it more than 2 years ago. I can only play a game for so long until I'm loosing interest no matter how many mods there are. Coming back to a modded game after a couple of months is also a huge hassle at times, because so many things changed and sometimes there is a seemingly endless list of required mods before you can even think of using a specific mod you were interested in. You can easily spend hours just getting this one mod to run and I'm lacking the motivation for that.   Apart from that I find it highly admirable that even after such a long time modders still create high quality mods like for example "oh sexy" for Skyrim and I'm sure also the older games (Oblivion, FO3, NV) still get some love. I was actually thinking about testing this mod, but installing the game again, patching it, searching for the right bodies and armors and god knows what else made me discard the idea almost immediately.
  2. Caliente announced.....

Thanks but wtf? So the FO4 body basically has only half the polys of the skyrim one and it still looks better (at least to me)? Crazy. Also the 21k of the new CBBE is pretty extrem in this context. Guess we'll see how this goes. So judging from claliente's post we're still at least 1 or 2 weeks away from the first release. I think she'll try to make sure, we get something for christmas to play with, though.   I really like that we are going to get the option for vanilla style body. This makes the mod viable for me again.
  3. Caliente announced.....

Also haven't you had enough fantasy for the past 4 years (Skyrim)? It's sci-fi time now ... I don't need crossbows and swords in there again.   Regarding the poly count: if we look 2 or 3 years in the future, we'll have plenty of GPU power to render FO4 effortlessly. The 21k vertices will be a piece of cake then. So considering the future a higher quality body might be the better way. How many polys does the vanilla FO4 body have and the ones for Skyrim? (vanilla, unp, cbbe etc.)   Also if the first release will just be something like "an open alpha/beta test", you can still reduce the size according to the feedback, can't you?     PS: I'm sure sooner or later someone will figure something out for the animations (if not fore).
  4. Caliente announced.....

Not the biggest fan of CBBE, but you can't deny Caliente's skills. She has done a lot since the beginning of Skyrim and continues to do so now with F4 and maybe TES VI in 2 or 3 years. Not only can she work with 3d models and textures, but she can also program/script and doing a lot of reserch and what not (Outfit Studio and helping with Nifskope now). There are not many modders who do contribute on such a regular basis. The unofficial patch and script extender teams come to mind and maybe the main programmers here on this site (sex frameworks).   That being said I'm not sure, I'll be using CBBE for F4, because it's not exactly my taste. I really like the vanilla body, although it could use more polys (maybe double) and more details on the body. I wonder, if we'll see anything from dimon99 again. At least for like 2 or 3 months until he looses interest again and disappears until TES VI.
  5. Yeah, i stumbled over the Vault Girl for FO3 and NV these days. It's really nice work. In the comment section he already announced he was going to port the mod over (to FO4) if possible. Following the spirit of sexy mods my only nitpick would be that she deserves some high heels or feminine boots of that sort instead of flat shoes. XD
  6. Fallout 4 Discussion Thread

Using a New Zealand VPN to activate/unlock the game you could already be playing for about 4,5 hours now (at time of this posting). It was unlocked there at 02:00 am NZDT.
  7. (Disscussion) Fallout 4 Adult Mods

Probably the easiest solution would be to just use the vanilla body as a standard. But I'm with Kendo 2: single body is not gonna happen, because each modder wants to make his own one complementing his own taste. So we will have the usual clutter of body types.
  8. Things you like about FO4

Only a minor thing, but I really like the weapon sounds and how the effects of energy weapons look when shooting.   Unfortunately, since they use a new bsa-format the existing tools have to be upgraded first. Also the nifscope guys have to decipher the new files first before we can have modded meshes. I assume it'll take a couple of months until we see modded armors and stuff. FO4 also allows body morphing like Saint's row now (thin, thick, muscular).
  9. Fallout 4 Discussion Thread

I think thor might be on to something. It's perfectly possible your partner and/or your child escaped some time before everything went to shit in the vault. So you'd still be the sole survivor at the time, but you'd also be able to find clues and track your loved ones outside in the wastes. We'll see on November 10th. All aboard the HYPETRAIN! Chu chu! *scnr*
  10. Fallout 4 Discussion Thread

You guys are forgetting something: there were next to no sexual relationships in vanilla F3 and almost next to no sexual relationships in FONV. Apart from some quick "fade-to-black" sex-scenes, where you sometimes even had to pay for first. I had to research that info online, because I couldn't remember any of that. That's how important it was ...   That said, even if you were only able to get into heterosexual and personal relationships in F4, that would still be a huge improvement over the previous games. And I'm talking about Mass Effect and Dragon Age style romances here (perhaps Witcher, too). Bethesda seemingly never cared about these things too much. As far as my research goes, even Skyrim was the first in the TES series where you could actually get into a relationship and marry the partner ... and the whole thing was still pretty bland. I think it's safe to assume, sexual and meaningful romances are not very high on Bethesda's priority list and it's probably something reserved for modding anyway.
  11. Fallout 4 Discussion Thread

I didn't like the reveal trailer, it looked underwhelming to me. But the Beth conference really made up for it. The gameplay convinced me, that this game is going to be pretty good. Even without all those (sex) mods. I know LL is all about sexy times, but a game has to be fun even in vanilla state in my opinion. I also don't think the intro / starting quest or the voice acting is limiting the roleplaying and modding in this game in any way. But then I'm also not too crazy about all the 300 sex mods for Skyrim, Fallout 3 etc.    If I get my occasional sexy (modded) armors I'm pretty much ready for the game.   One thing I learned from previous Beth games is, that they know how to create a mostly fun sandbox world, but they've always had problems with the technical side of things (graphics, physics, animations, bugs/crashes) and the content (quests, characters, story) which was kind of rough and shallow sometimes.   Now with the Witcher 3 there is a new reference in the genre as far as I'm concerned. The impact and depth of quests is unrivaled for me and I doubt, Beth will be able to reach this quality in Fallout 4. Having to rely on modders to fill all these gaps is not exactly something I particularly like. Of course, they are doing a great job and all, but it takes a lot of waiting time on top of the release date until quality mods are created and it more often than not feels different from the vanilla game. Furthermore, mods introduce bugs themselves or are bugging out other functions of the game which is annoying, too.   I stopped playing Skyrim and FO3/NV years ago and it's defintely time for a new iteration now ... and I'm more than ready after all this time.
