You know, there are so many RPGs out there that have a fixed character, and yet damn near everybody in this "discussion" decides to focus their rage on this one specific series. It's almost like they're jealous that everybody is talking about this great new game that hit the shelves, and they can't partake because it would require them to eat their own words. Just a thought, of course.

  It is unreasonable because not every RPG has that element, but that doesn't make it any less of an RPG genre. I would also wonder that if TW had a character you actually liked and could identify with, would it then be enveloped by your "true RPG" definition. Because if it would, it would also make you a hypoctite whose only point here is "only an RPG I like is a real RPG". Kind of like saying the only true horrors are the ones that managed to scare you personally. I hope you're getting my point.   Also, "strawmanning"? We are so done here I don't even  

  The more I talk to you, the more I'm getting the sense you only care about character creation, and everything else including the story, choices, and morality is just a minot sidekick coming along for the ride. If you had your way, we'd have maybe 20 RPGs in the market and that would be that, everything else would have to be renamed because it doesn't fit your profile.  

  But in all of those cases you're still playing a savior/warden/soldier that the developers shaped according to their will and their opinion of what the character should be, which makes your choices illusionary at best. How are you not seeing this?

  It sounds like the only way *you* can acknowledge something as an RPG is to either make one yourself or play D&D. The thing is, I know only one series that did this and that series is the Sims. Which I'll remind you, has no storyline whatsoever.

  Maybe Cyberpunk will allow us to finally play as a "puny rape survivor ex-soldier stronk black trans ultimatesexual woman with a mustache who need no man" we've been anxiously waiting for. We can only hope, I guess.

How come is it that you're not allowed to talk shop about nexus or steam users on LL, but if somebody so much as mentions LL on one of those sites, they run the risk of getting outright banned. Why the double standard?

  Wasn't a "fanboy" that brought it up, pal. If it makes you uncomfortable getting your ass handed to you every time you spit on the series, maybe you should stop doing it. Yet another thread gets derailed over stupid shit.  

  Everybody is comparing Bethesda and Projekt Red around here for some reason, seeing as you talked about both in a single post I figured you were too. If I'm wrong, don't take offense. It's just annoying seeing people who don't understand the difference between one rpg style from another, and still talk about it like their word is divine law.  

  What are you talking about, the guy is practically a blank page complete with amnesia, learning new things about the world alongside the player. If there's any actual character going on, it's pretty much left to the player entirely to decide what it is through choices and dialogue. Also, comparing a game with a voiced character and a fixed story with a game that has a mute customizable PC and an entirely optional main quest is like comparing apples and watermellons.  

It looks great. Skyrim is old and idiotically overplayed by now, a change would be most welcome.

Really? The "rough" I remember as a male jap voice in Sexvilla2 and the "quiet" female voice sounds pretty japanese. Could be wrong I guess.

I think there are two, actually. One for male and one for female, right there in the default sexlab package. And yeah, there is a combat voice as well, but you'll have to search the nexus for it as I don't remember how it's called.

Damn, The Warriors looks fantastic. I'm gonna have to dig out my ps2.
