  1. Paid Modding is gone.

Really? They pulled it off? I have to admit that this suprises me a lot. Though yeah, there will be other attempts for this in the future but...   but nevertheless, I have to smile a little about this, though some attacks against soem modders, not sure if that was really the right way to adress them. Too much hysteria on both sides for me...   At least I can stop now to hoard my Skyrim-Musthave mods like some paranoid squirrel ...
  2.   Now if that's true ... hmm...glad I am bad at math ...but it spontaneously made me think of this for some reason ...   >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtjCVRm2DAM   But don't have time now, gotta get me some "More Immersive Sleeping Giant Inn"- Mod for 70,00 €, that bear-rug truly is annoying
  3. Pillars of Eternity and Any IE games or NWN thread

WEll, each has his/her own preferences and taste it seems...   I'd rather have NO romances than bad/forced romances with NPCs I simply don't like - in BG2 my female char was stuck romancing Annoying Anomen...in Dragon Age 2 was not a single likeable char for my female to romance...and in Inquisition only ONE that isn't even a playable NPC...so yeah, rather none then bad/uninteresting ones   Camping equipment is much better then simply denying your from sleeping in dungeons, which would have been the other alternative. As already said, you shouldn't sleep after every little skirmish, but instead make more "tactical rests". It also gives a nice retro-feeling to a real P&P-RPG. In most fantasy-novels supplies/food etc are always a main concern of the questing-party, so I really like it   Ranger's pets are very useful for me, to buy myself time by binding enemies for a while. They are no tanks, but can occupy foes. and rush in rooms to trigger fights and other things. Still much better than having no pet-companion, like ranger's in D&D, now they were rather useless compared to other classes ^^   Voice-acting didn't bother me at all, I could have don without any dialogue being voiced...   And yeah, wish the graphics were like Dragon Age as well ... of course Obsidian could never have reeased the game then in the first place, not with so much actual content and without a huge publisher and budget in the background...   Overall, I don't see much reason to complain. PoE is finally the first Oldschool-RPG-Revival Game that is fun to play for me unlike Divinity (uninteresting world/lore, forced humour, few and boring companions, cool battles though) or Wasteland 2 (a bit of a drag and really tiresome battles towards the end...). I hope it becomes a franchise and the world will be used more by Obsidian in the future of their company!
  4. The Witcher 3

You are just too sceptical for my taste. Crap they throw at me? As long as I enjoy "crap", I'll buy it. And yeah, I love to be the devil's advocate, and from forum observation I can tell that you are often way overreacting to almost everything non-PC etc. I do not have a console (since SNES-times), but I also don't hate on it, as you do. Times are changing...and I prefer to adapt and enjoy what is coming new.   And not everything PC-only or from ye goode olde tymes is super-duper...   And no reason to block you, at least for me ... I too much enjoy your rantings and oppose them...^^
  5. Skyrim number one best game?

Ahem, why would anyone try to make Skyrim like Oblivion, which is by far the worst Elder Scrolls I ever played? (Well, of the three ^^, I am not THAT old)   Oblivion is just ...*shudder*... I never ever grew warm with it and still I am glad Bethesda totally scrapped that game and build Skyrim - which feels just about the real successor to Morrowind in so many ways (well, except for the lack of spears, medium armour and levitating, but I can live with that...and attributes are overrated anyway...^^)   But yeah, at least Oblivion is more appealing to me than any JRPG...will never understand people's fascination with little kids running around with gigantic swords and abysmal hair killing evil raccoon and cute little mushrooms ....wait, I killed plenty of mushrooms today in Pillars of Eternity! I have to rethink my words a bit ...
  6. The Witcher 3

Hmmm...betray? My thought is you're overreacting. As said above: Not a small DLC, but two rather large addons are announced. Which will be released way after the main game, so no "this was already in the game-dayone-pseudo-DLCs" And taking money for wha seems to be quite a lot of content? Probably with a lot of additional voice-work and cinematics? Fine with me, though I'll just follow this CD-Project Red dev's advice:   “While we’re offering the Expansion Pass now, we want to make one thing clear: don’t buy it if you have any doubts,” explained studio co-founder Marcin Iwiński. “Wait for reviews or play The Witcher and see if you like it first. As always, it’s your call.”
  7. Skyrim number one best game?

Well, kind of a weird list, most game I either never played or never cared for...but nice to see the best Elder Scrolls number one (though it pains me: I rank it higher than Morrowind, though that was my first Elder Scrolls and was AWESOME!...but Skyrim is more my cup of tea, even unmodded)   1. Baldur's Gate 2 2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 3. Dragon Age: Origins 4. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind 5. Medieval 2: Total War 6. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 7. Icenwind Dale 1 8. Fallout 2 9. StarCraft 10. Dead Space   followed by: various sequels to Total War, Dead Space, the Arkham Series, Plancescape-Torment, the other Dragon Age Games, The Witcher Series, Warcraft 2 + 3, Command & Conquer until 3, Vampire: Bloodlines, Diablo-Series including 3, Fallout-series, and a hypothetical Mass Effect series that only exists in my fantasy (as it has an actually logical plot and satisfying conclusion plus sensible gameplay!)   And after 2015 I might have to make space in the top ten for Pillars of Eternity maybe, or Witcher 3...let's see how those end up..

  9. "What are you playing" thread

If one buys the basic version: I have to say, you don't miss out on much. It's mostly digital goodies in the other versions, like the soundtrack, guides, wallpapers, "ringtones" etc. I got most of the stuff due to being backer, but I can't really recommend buying the "higher" editions to anyone else. I personally don't think it's worth it. The only two ingame-items you got as backer/pre-order are very, very minor and not gamebreakingly powerful, so no miss either here
  10. "What are you playing" thread

With some impoertant upgrades. For example its easier now for tanks to engange and "bind" enemies, keeping them off of our mages. Though its a bit tricky to get used to in the beginning...and lots of micromanagement. It may lack the enviromental "puzzle" aspect of Divinity, which really was fun to play...but...at the end of the day, the semi-realtime pausable combat BG-style is just more my kind of thing...   Maybe we should make a separate PoE-thread ...
  11. "What are you playing" thread

Loading times ... yeah ... no ... I really don't care ^^ I have catacombs to explore and bodies to loot...
  12.   Hm, guess towards teh end of the year, or end of summer I'll take another assault on DAI (hopefully with a second DLC, covering the Darkspawn/Deeproads). Until then too many games to take care of...*sigh*...and do they make sales on Origin? It's really a bit much. Not that money matters THAT much to me but...that's almost the price of a full addon. I don't think "Jaws" is half the size of "Awakening"...   Anyway, nice to see at least some people here don't piss arrogantly down on DAI for whatever reasons...   and I feel great about myself that I can enjoy DAI and Pillars and the Witcher all the same...instead of seeing only the "negative" stuff about some games...good to be me!
  13. WTF? NOW they get that DLC out? Sorry, no time to play that, guess next time I start DAI again will be winter again ...
  14. Alien Isolation: Top or Flop ?

To anyone like me: The game is currently off 75 % on Steam (12 € instead of 50 €), so maybe buy now would be a clever choice...
  15. "What are you playing" thread

Of course, Pillars of Eternity! What else?! Yesterday not that much time but ... that damn Char creation alone made me spent about one to two hours...thoguh maybe too early for a final verdict (and as a backer I am biased anyway) but: Totally worth it if you are only a little bit interested in RPGs!   P.S. Damn you Sega and Steam ... Alien Isolation 75% off!? Argh! You are torpedoing my Pillars-Weekend-Marathon!
  16. WIP Maria Eden

Now THAT ... seems like an easy solution ...
  17.   Why not? But I don't see that one coming soon. In contrast to a fantasy-setting the Fallou-verse has much less mass-appeal needed for an MMO...but really, if they did it, I wouldn't care much. Play it? Probably not also...
  18. WIP Maria Eden

In regards to the above I was thinking: Many of the sex-scenes as a whore/in the taverns etc you get to choose what is done to you via menu. Wouldn't it be more immersive if, just as you wrote yourself, the player wouldn't have any choice about what a customer wants from him/her?
  19.   As far as I can tell it deosn't seem like YOU are missing something here, so don't worry. You have it right with what you said...   Elder Scrolls Online was a logical way to go, no matter if it ultimately was a success or not...I remember all too well that a LOT of gamers back in the days as early as Morrowind and Oblivion fantasized about an online-game set in the Elder Scrolls World, so I will never blame Bethesda/Zenimax for trying it...   And I don't think ESO would ever have hurt the single player franchise, nor will it. In that regard, I am more upset about The Old Republic which seemed to have put an end to the KOTOR-Single Player games for the time being ... however, TOR is still an enjoyable experience for me, and I like it more in terms of story and fun than the single-player KOTOR 2 - which was a mess in almost everything.
  20.   The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing video game developed by ZeniMax Online Studios.   The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks   Don't see what to hate here, two different kind of people/studios/devs designing two kinds of games, probably Fallout 4 and/or TES6 are already planned. So what's to hate really ... and why lose faith in TES? With all respect to some people here: Too much drama isn't good, wait and see how it goes and play some cool RPGs until then (26.3.15 is coming ... ^^ hopefully good ....)
  21. Fertile Breeder Expanded

Intriguing ... I am curious how you'll make the scenarios kinda interesting, after all there is not much to do once being captured than...watching the sex-animations waiting to get pregnant? However, seeing the huge amount of dialogue and text you are using in Breeders already? It might work.    Personally, those scenarios should embrace the "darker side" of the Wastelands ... you are bound, captured, enslaved, forced to breed with beasts for the profit of someone else, and this should be reflected in the dialogues, both from the NPCs that might share your plight, the slavers, "other people", and the player-character herself as well.   As I understand you don't really wanna use existing locations/NPCs, which might be a good idea to avoid conflicts (otherwise Raider Violet came to my mind just naturally, she is into beastiality even if Vanilla never spells it out loud  ) But in that regard I'd like to throw in some random ideas:   Dogs/coyotes: A raider-scenario. Having a chat with Owyn would let him reveal he was under attack recently by a group of raiders and he asks you for help to retrieve some stuff. Or maybe they captured his sister? Or maybe they captured his new sweetheart (to avoid using the sister) and asks us to get her back?   This leads us to the ambush site of the Raiders, we get captured (maybe after some failed negotiations) and we end up in the underground bunker of the Raider-Clan - a bunch of totally fucked-up shitheads that just as much want to use the females they captured to breed some dogs for sale (to finance their drug-abuse ^^) as they simply like to humiliate and torture the women...just think of every fucked-up Mad-Max-Raider and multiply his insanity and put him/her into the mod, let loose the inner evil self of yours   Deathclaws: What comes to my mind is gladiator. Some kind of "illegal" (illegal in the Wastelands? Well, you get the idea...) pit-fights between Deathclaws, a bit like the Thorn of course...maybe a rival to the Thorn, he got exiled after rigging some fight etc and now makes his own thing. But instead of asking lonely couriers to fetch some animal-eggs and pay with sex ... he just captures females and makes them breed new fighters for his little enterprise...   It could have a lot of interaction with customers/gamblers, other captured females, maybe could even have other animals besides only deathclaws. Also the potential to have people/a crowd paying to see the act of breeding with vicious animals, and of course the potential of ending in the fighting arena if things turn out bad for the player...   Centaur: Of course, Super Mutants ... there isn't much super mutant content anyway, and I remember the Super mutant "party camp" in the other Breeder-Mod that sadly never got finished. Maybe a little callback to the older Fallout. We could have a "Master" who captures females to breed with his growing army of Super mutants and Centaurs to conquer the world!     That about it so far ...
  22. Weird ... all this hatred against the game almost makes me wanna play it ^^   But nah, I am still too busy blowing money up Bioware's and EA's ass with Old Republic, wanna see the EAvil EAmpire grow a bit more from my bucks before I support the "downfall" of the Elder Scrolls
  23.   Or have her as the spokesperson to the pack? She could "translate" to the player what the wolves have to say, due to her being very, very, very close to the wolves for a long time...?
  24. Regarding the Elder Scrolls: Online...

Well, I enjoy Old republic more than Kotor2 for that matter ... each char-story is miles ahead of the incoherent un-starwarsy mess of a story told in Kotor2 as far as I am concerned. So personally, Kotor started to decline with Kotor2, Old Republic is hardly to blame ^^
