Didn't even know that was possible, how do you raise disposition through console commands? I don't recall ever seeing a command like that.

Ouch, didn't know things were that bad. Do what you deem best and thanks for all your hard work Ashal
One upside to all this though: The old interface is back!!

Oh wow, I can enter again. Haven't been able to access LL for almost 2 days.

I hate the Blood Bugs. I have a terrible phobia for Craneflies (aka Daddy Long Legs) so those things freak me out.

- (1) The gameplay is actually quite fun once you get used to it. You require VATS a lot more than previous Fallout games because things seem to move a lot faster. You simply can't outrun enemies anymore since your action points are tied to your stamina.
- (2)The weapon modifications are incredibly fun to work on and upgrading your favorite weapons becomes a game in and of itself. Finding the upgrades become a quest you work towards.
- (3)The game just looks and feels better than Skyrim or previous Bethesda games, despite the terrible graphics quality. You don't even need an ENB, although they're already available.
- (4)The RPG exists in this game after all. You just have to ignore the massively moronic main plot to do it. Doing quests can be as fun as in Skyrim. It's not Fallout 3/New Vegas levels of writing, but it's not terrible.
- (5)The FPS feels pretty good once you get the hang of it. Battles are fun, provided you have the ammo to deal with the enemies.
- (6)This could be viewed as good or bad: there is a ton of places to explore and no longer do you walk miles to find anything like in the Mojave.
- (7)The Hearthfires-like base-building can be enjoyable, in a weird Sim City 2000 sort of way. It's kind of stupid at the same time, but undeniably addictive.
- (8)The wasteland looks really authentic. It's just really aesthetically pleasing.
- (9)Materials are useful in FO4 for crafting, upgrading or using for your settlement. It makes looting worthwhile for once in a Bethesda RPG.
- (10)I've only had 1 (ONE) CTD in 20 hours. That's impressive.
- (11)Simple crosshair dot
THE BAD
- (12) The followers are retarded. They're just stupid. Attacking things that don't need attacking, missing with every shot, saying the same lines over and over like previous Bethesda games. They're little more than human meat shields.
- (13) The plot is fucking brutal. You're a dad or a MILF who is supposed to be looking for your baby but you get distracted by a million things and you're supposed to say dialogue that no sane person who had just lost their wife/husband and son would ever say. It's psychotic. Also, I don't want to be a lawyer.
- (14) You get to flirt with people. Which wouldn't be psychotic if it weren't for the aforementioned main plot.
- (15) You get power armor to start the game. TO START THE GAME. So stupid.
- (16) Random people throughout the wasteland will let you become their leader after doing one job for them. That is even worse than in Skyrim becoming Archmage without learning a single spell.
- (17) No FOV slider and multiple keys mapped to the same function for PC. That's not just catering to console, it's straight up slapping the face of PC gamers.
- (18) 4 answers for every question, conveniently made for console gamers. No offence, but fuck console gamers. Make a product for everybody, not one type of gamer.
- (19) Stupid cinematic cutscenes for every dialogue
- (20) Stupid expressions and eyebrow tilts for every single dialogue. It gets repetitive.
- (21) The UI feels like something from 2006. The SkyUI team is so badly needed in Fallout 4 it's actually unbelievable. I have no idea what they were thinking.
- (22) The AI is really dumb sometimes.
- (23) Talking protagonist. Why can't I voice myself?
- (24) Lots of loadscreens still
- (25) They removed the Karma system, a staple of Fallout
THE UGLY
- (26) The female body is disgusting. It's horrible. Do they think every woman is a stick figure with A-cups? Nude mods are pointless because the body looks like a boy.
- (27) The graphics are really low resolution to the point of being insane. This is beyond pixellation, it's like Minecraft in places.
- (28) I've fallen through floors and gone through walls and doors. This isn't a finished game. It's an Alpha or at best a Beta.
- (29) Doing cinematic cutscenes wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that you get to see how low resolution the armor and clothing is. It looks FAKE AS FUCK. Fake, in 2015. Embarrassing.
- (30) Bethesda once again provided a game with survival items (food, water, sleep) and no fucking need to use any of them. Retarded. Now we need to wait for Chesko or Perseid to make a mod for it.
- (31) The FPS is horrible in places, even for people with beast computers. It looks like they once again made this for console and then did a shit job porting it to PC. Havok is still controlled to FPS so you need to limit it. In 2015.
THINGS THAT NEED FIXING/MODDING
- (32) We need an Alternate Start, like, yesterday. This whole baby thing is bullshit.
- (33) Meshes and textures upgrades and human bodies that don't make me want to puke
- (34) Multiple companion mods. I want the dog AND the newspaper reporter.
- (35) Survival system and realistic needs
- (36) Dialogue overhaul
- (37) Fallout4UI
Green = Agreed
Orange = Partly agreed
Red = Disagreed
1: Agreed. Some enemies are indeed so fast I prefer VATS to take them out, I rarely needed to do that in Fo3/FNV.
2: Agreed, I found the whole armor/weapon crafting mechanic quite absorbing and fun.
3: I indeed like the look of the world as well, the graphics may leave things to be desired, but to say it's terrible is an exaggeration, you should have seen Ride to Hell.
4: Again, an exaggeration. Yes the plot has it's flaws but to say it's 'massively moronic' is an overstatement.
5: No comment.
6: I love the fact the world is so packed with things to explore. The problem with the Mojave is that it was already a wasteland before the war, it's a desert after all.
7: Most of the base building doesn't really make sense indeed, but it doesn't detract from the fun regardless.
8: no comment.
9: Very much agreed. Fo3/FNV were always filled with tons of junk and practically no use for it, now we can finally do something with all that stuff.
10: 40 hours in and still no CTD, impressive indeed. I was expecting like 5 of them in the first hour alone.
11: No comment.
12: My followers only seem to follow when they want to, shoot at walls and walk straight into boobytraps all the time. Could use some work indeed.
13: I suppose that's partly true. You would expect the main character to go after her/his child right away, but then again it's not exactly possible. First you have no idea where Shaun is or who even took him, second you don't even know the way as the Wasteland is alien to you, lastly you need to prepare and get stronger before you can even survive all of the dangers the wasteland has in store for you. This is done through quests, it may seem weird sometimes but that's story/gameplay segration for you.
14: You "just" lost your spouse so flirting with someone else does seem out of place indeed. Then again it has been known to happen, when an individual loses someone their lover they sometimes try to find someone else to fill the void that has been left behind, even though their previous lover has only recently passed away. Not everyone does this of course, but it has been known to happen. Also it didn't bother me all that much, I was just like "Wait a tick, that means I'm single again! Oh Behave!". If you get that reference, kudos to you.
15: Does not bother me at all. You get a busted and rusted power armor early on which means I can work on improving and upgrading it early on as well, which suits me just fine. It's a lot better than getting to the good stuff when you already completed most of the game (many games do this unfortunately).
16: Considering all the impressive feats I pull off and I'm the only one standing between them and a horrific that, I expect nothing less.
17: Yeah the controls were really weird, I had to change many of them before I finally got it right.
18: No comment.
19: Not stupid at all. It's a lot better than the entire world freezing and the character you talk to looking like a mannequin like in Fo3/FNV. Having little cutscenes whenever you talk to someone is great.
20: The expressions weren't really the problem, lack of expressions is the problem. I've only seen 3, anger, happiness and neutral. There need to be more.
21: Agreed, just as aweful as Skyrim. Who keeps making these barebones interfaces..
22: No comment.
23: No problem with this at all. Most people hated having a talking protagonist, but I prefer that over a complete mute. Though it could cause problems for mods.
24: No comment.
25: Finally rid of that retarded system. I kill some innocent guy in the middle of nowhere with no witnesses... everyone knows and villifies you. Wait what? That's stupid.
26: Looks fine to me. And saying body mods can't fix it makes no sense, because as they name implies it gives you a new body.
27: Some textures are indeed surprisingly low, others look fine.
28: I've had no such problem in the 40 hours I played this.
29: Some textures do, some don't. It's a mixed bag.
30: Yeah I never understood why Fo3 had food either, it barely even gives health. At least FNV had a hardcore mode that required you to eat, drink and sleep.
31: Yeah the FPS is great in some places, horrible in others for no apparant reason. A huge battle with dozens of enemies and liberty prime and explosions no problem. A small room in the institute, massive fps drop. wtf?
32: I don't mind the intro, but like all intro's they get tedious after the first/second playthrough. A quickstart mod would be nice eventually.
33: Some textures could indeed use an upgrade.
34: Yes! I don't understand why I can't bring Piper AND my dog. I should be able to bring as many people as I want, create my own little caravan.
35: No comment.
36: No comment.
37: Most definitely.

Does anyone know some trick to prevent the game from crashing when saving? This constantly happens after progressing past the part where the guard gives you a chastity belt and bra.

All I want is some great player enslavement and bondage mods
Just like the ones Skyrim has.

10 minutes ago, Unimportant said:I'm fine with having non-straight romances in a game, I'd even be fine with NPCs propositioning you regardless of orientation (so long as you could turn them down), but as a writer making all of the romances in the game genderblind feels... lazy. Unless you're in a setting where bisexuality is the norm, which fallout is established not to be, having set sexualities for each romance lets you flesh that character out more.
For instance, if in a new patch the introduced romanceable companions to FNV, and you could romance Arcade as a woman or Veronica as a guy because there weren't any rules about what gender your character had to be, I feel like that wouldn't work well with the story.
I guess that's true, making every character bisexual would indeed seem.. weird, for lore reasons. unless it's an established norm. And if that's the point darthmexican5 was trying to make I take back what I said. But mostly when people say they don't like non-straight romances in a game, it's usually for homophobic reasons. You should have seen the huge amounts of complaining and hate Mass Effect and Dragon Age got for that.

I think there's indeed a misunderstanding here.
Here is what I thought, it seemed to me darthmexican5 was saddened by the fact there are no limitations on gender romances, implying he doesn't want girl on girl for example. Which doesn't really seem like something to be sad about since it's not something you are forced to do. I'm not gay myself but I don't mind the option for it being present in the game, as long as it's just optional. Seems wrong to deny other people certain content just because I myself don't like it.
At least that's what I thought darthmexican5 meant, but judging from the reactions It seems I misunderstood.

Why sadly? I think it's a good thing. If you want heterosexual romances in your game, you can have them. If you want homosexual romances in your game, you can have them. Everyone wins.

16 minutes ago, greyspammer said:Spawning NPCs (with 'placeatme') is usually not a good idea because you don't get the same instance of the NPC that the quest holds a reference on. Instead, you create a new instance (like a clone, a second version of the NPC running around without the knowledge of the original).
Try instead to get the ref id of the "correct" Claudius. For me, it was xx02fd3d (where xx is DCL's load index in hex). It'll probably be that for you as well. You can find out by typing 'sqv dcur_leon_enslaved' and searching for the value of alias_dcur_claudius.
Then type 'prid <the_id_you_got>', followed by 'moveto player'. It should teleport Claudius to you, no matter where he got lost. If he doesn't show up, he may be disabled. Try 'enable'.
You are a life saver, I managed to finish the quest now

Shame the crash on save bug still persists though, so I will have to wait on a fix for that one.

1 minute ago, greyspammer said:'coc ustolfshouse' gets you to the house, 'coc ustolfspartyroom' gets you to the party room. If you can't remember them, just type 'help ustolf' and search for the two lines that start with "Cell:".
Great thanks that worked.
Now I have another problem though. When I'm done with Ustolf I am told to go back to Claudius to bring me back to Whiterun. Unfortunately he isn't there (he wasn't there from the start, had to spawn him with a command). Now I spawned him again but this time he doesn't have the dialogue option I need, so I am stuck once again..

10 hours ago, greyspammer said:Once the guard had put the belt on, any attempt to save the game would cause a CTD. But fortunately, the quest is almost over at that time. So I just played without saving (did 'coc' to avoid autosaves) and managed to finish the quest without problems.
This game breaking bug is preventing me from finishing the quest unfortunately, can you tell me what coc command you used to get back to the party without triggering an autosave?

My name isn't on the recorded names list

Apparantly the name Neil is a stretch too far but Fuckface or Titties is perfectly fine lol

*Atleast until (if) Ashal implements a fluid (rather than static) page width in future but for now let him focus on the more important issues at hand.
Preview:

You'll need an add-on called Stylish available on Firefox based browsers and Chromium based browsers.
Create a new Userstyle and insert the following below and click Preview/Save. [Example screenshot]
@-moz-document domain("www.loverslab.com"){
}
.ipsLayout_container {
max-width: 1900px;
}You can edit the 1900px part if it's still not wide enough, for me on a 1920x1080 resolution it does me fine for example.
For those that would also like the classic dark background can use the code below, re-host the image if you have a preferred image host.
@-moz-document domain("www.loverslab.com"){
}
.ipsLayout_container {
max-width: 1900px;
}
body.ipsfocus_bg1 {
background-color: #1A1A1A;
background-image: url("http://i1.someimage.com/4zfxvCC.jpg");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-size: cover;
background-position: 50% 0%;
}Disable this Userstyle in future when/if Ashal confirms and puts in place fluid page width (or if it causes problems if any but I doubt it), Enjoy.
Alot of the complaints/requests here concerning visual looks can be adjusted/fixed with Stylish if you know how to use your browsers Inspect Element.
As for the forum update I'm loving the fresh new feeling overall and just in time for Fallout 4 soon. Hoping IPS serves well.

I don't even see the background most people are seeing, for me it's just grey..
Though I must say I prefer it that way, that bright background looks awful. I always liked that Loverslab looked so dark.

I can't say I like this change. The previous interface was perfect, no need fixing something that's not broken.
And as xTrogdorx already pointed out, everything is way too tall.
EDIT: And where are all the blogs!?

Ever since Pet Collar is no longer needed, the slave collar is invisible for some reason. I can equip it, and it's model/textures do show up in the menu, but not around the neck.
It shows without problem for me, did you check Devious Devices Device hider?
Not sure what Devious Device hider is.
I'm not really sure why the collar doesn't show up, I am familiar with the model I've seen it before in other mods and it usually always works.
This issue has 'missing texture/model' written all over it, except that I'm not missing any textures or models...
