  1. Merging Patches?

I've not been here for a while (holy crap the layout) but I trust people's opinions here rather than other places.    I use Morrowloot Ultimate with many patches. I also use stuff like Wrye Bash for levelled lists etc and TES5EDIT for merging some aesthetic mods that don't have many scripts.   Can I merge these morrowloot patches together to save space, or is there a more in depth process for this than just merging them?
  2. It could the the 'dxgi.dll'. I figured that out as my problem. Rename it to something like dxgi.dll.bak and see if it still does it. I saw this solution in another thread.
  3. Reinstall the last driver. I'm having this problem too. The newest one seems to break the SKSE, as uninstalling my ENB doesn't work. The game seems to run without SKSE.    I'm Beta testing the new Battlefront, which the new driver was made for, so i'll probably reinstall the last driver when it's finished.
  4. The nexus will never allow or accept any use of other game's assets. I believe they banned a few witcher mods before realising that CD Project Red basically gives you a "do what you like" policy. Any nintendo content will be an automatic ban - Nintendo are the strictest out of any company with assets.    But I do like your idea, it was good.
  5. I managed to have a look before it was taken down.    I have a hard time believing they weren't ripped. They look literally exactly the same as in game meshes and textures.    Whether or not, nexus mods won't accept the risk of a mod using ripped textures, no matter how convincingly 'replicated' they may be.
  6. Bethesda go GOG.COM 100% DRM FREE Morrowind!!!

I hope they move to DRM free for further installments, maybe including Oblivion, Skyrim and the Fallout series. The Witcher 3 is immensely successful even with no DRM. DRM doesn't solve anything, it only makes pirates more determined.
  7. Show your Skyrim counterpart...

The makeup and warpaints are pretty pixelated, it ruins an otherwise lovely character. You should be using the SKSE ini if you're not already.
  8. Help! About computers and Skyrim

Erm..... Adblock?    Give us a pic or two when it's done, SR-2 rigs are always sexy.
  9. Help! About computers and Skyrim

Don't forget that the SR-2 is one of few server boards that can overclock. The SR-2 can overclock BOTH CPUs. It won't overclock to mad, 4.5GHz clocks, but most compatible xeons can overclock to about 4.0Ghz. That's good because skyrim is pretty CPU heavy, that extra headroom will help.    Using an SSD is basically a necessity now they're so cheap, I agree that uncompressing the BSAs is a good idea for SSD installations- the load times go down a few seconds. especially if you're running stuff like ENBs and high textures.    Try and run the least amount of background processes as possible, it can definitely lower framerates on those boards and they're very susceptible to both physical and software interference.    Swap your 970 over to the new one and overclocked, it'll be more powerful than your i7. Also, don't swap the ram - SR2 is both a server board and a 1366 board, it needs triple channel ram. The stuff in your computer is dual channel and won't work properly. For maximum speed, keep the triple channel stuff. However, the Sr2 can hold a massive 48GB of triple channel ram.    Oh and if you want to go SLI for some reason for performance etc, you're in a good position with the SR2 as each and every slot is X16. If you run sli, the second card will run at x8 though I think. But you can put lots of high speed gadgets (like a pci SSD perhaps =p) and they'll run at the best speeds.
  10. windows 10 breaks skyrim?

I don't understand this. Any bugs people are experiencing are hardly bad enough to boycott the os until it's fixed. They're a couple of bugs, nothing bad. I've not had one single problem playing any game on my system since upgrading.
  11. windows 10 breaks skyrim?

I've had absolutely zero problems playing skyrim on windows 10.    It is something on your end, not the OS. Reinstall your drivers, skyrim or mods.
  12. 2 Questions; Leveled Lists & Enchanting

I thought i'd just ask a question since you mentioned Perkma. Does perkma do a good job of building levelled lists, or would it be possible to lootify things in conjunction with Perkma? I don't like to cheat and I'd like to see some mods included in the levelled lists.
  13. Show your Skyrim counterpart...

I don't usually do screenshots; so here's one.
  14. I know it sounds pretty general, but i've been trying to get the best performance to look ratio and I simply can't get it right. I don't use an ENB because it rips my FPS so profusely and instead just use a mix of Imaginator and FXAA injector. I'm not really pleased with it.    Is using skyrim 2K textures (I use the 1024) really needed, or can I get away with the skyrim high res texture pack?    Any small tips for best performance? Any mods I may have missed to get better performance?  My rig is modest, with an i3 3220, 8GB of 1600Mhz ram and a GTX 670 4GB.
  15. Show your Skyrim counterpart...

I love those weapons and attire. Where did you get them, or did you make those yourself?    I would love to get them, it gives me a great idea for a roleplay.
  16. Paid Modding is gone.

You're not stupid, you know this isn't about getting paid for their efforts. It's about betraying the entire community the moment money is dangled in their faces. More people would've had respect and even uplifting if they'd spoken about their choice beforehand.    Most of us disagree not with the whole idea but with the way it was implemented. One day "BAM!" it's right in your face without any warning.   If it was more like a humblebundle style which let you donate the amount you wanted - with the choice of how much of a cut goes to the modder, more people would be on board. Charging several pounds for a sword ripped from DOTA is not the right way to do things.
  17. Paid Modding is gone.

You're right, completely right. The paywall is gone but the rubble is still there. People are going to take a while before they trust team Sky UI or Isoku again, since they sold us out in an instant. Their mods are crucial and the base of many installations, it's a bit of a punch in the face.   Respectable modders should've at the least talked to the community before going straight to paid mods. And I have even bigger respect for the big name modders who didn't go for paid modding or even consider it like t3and0. He was completely against the idea - even though many people would've paid quite a lot for perkus maximus as such a crucial and widely used mod.
  18. Paid Modding is gone.

          I thought this was appropriate.
  19. Paid Modding is gone.

Thank Mithras. I knew from the start that they'd see sense pretty quickly. It probably won't be the last we'll see of steam trying to economise modding though.
  20. I've had a good read of that reddit and thought about the key failings to this:   My problem right now is there is no quality control. How will steam deal with a mod that requires Sky UI's newest version? - a paid mod or soon to be. It's those kinds of compatibilities and quality control failings that make this a terrible idea.    There's nothing to stop opportunists overcharging or even stealing mods from the nexus and reuploading them.   Piracy is already a thing - all of the paid mods have already been torrented.    Possible DRM for modding. New games will limit the availability of mods to the workshop only.   Censoring that means nudity or graphic depictions or just something valve/beth doesn't like will just be pulled.   Support issues won't be handled properly.    New games won't be very moddable because of selfish modders keeping the tricks of the trade to themselves so they can potentially monopolise the market.    This won't stick and Gabe as well as Valve will pull it, claiming to be the heroes of the platform for seeing sense.    Game developers want a cut from a mod that people have already bought the game for - greed in it's lowest form.
  21. CD project of witcher development give away the games very resources for modding and would never put up with paid mods. They are a company for public service - if this paid modding crap goes on maybe everyone should jump ship to the witcher to mod.
  22. At least we can still get CBBE outfits for free then. Since they rely on the body which Caliente is insisting is free and outfits can't be sold for payment, we still have some hope there.    I care more about outfits than anything else. Weapons are sure to be sold for ridiculous prices, especially if bethesda is endorsing certain works. Sky Ui really disappoints me and it's just incredibly disappointing that so many people betray the community when some money is dangled in front of them. Isoku said he'll put his current versions on nexus - only after getting some 'pocket money' on the workshop. I don't like sell-outs. I've lost jobs and quit jobs because the client wants to pay less or my co-workers wanted more for the project, I don't like people who want more for doing the same thing they've always done. It's not like these modders are going to be giving us more mod for our money either, they'll be the same SkyUI and Wet and Cold - with a pricetag.    I don't care I have a lesser experience because of this, I will never pay for a mod, unless it is something that special - like falskar. But even Falskar's author has said it will be forever free. Same as with t3and0 and insists his will be free forever.    I appreciate donations for authors - that is a good thing. If you love the mod and can't play without it then a couple of quid is fair enough, but charging £3.50 for a suit of armour is just abysmal.    It's just a shame we'll most likely see a rise in piracy of mods now.    http://www.gamespot.com/articles/gabe-newell-says-valve-will-dump-paid-mods-if-they/1100-6426893/   Gabe has already said that if it's bad for gamers, valve will ditch the paid modding service. The backlash has already started to work - people will not buy mods because modding is sharing. I dislike people who expect modders to do this and that; they do so because they like to or because they want to give to the community. I never expect modders to do anything - I'm just happy for the next awesome release, no matter when it comes.
  23. Yeah, don't waste your money.    I played it (on a friend's computer, one of those people who buy EVERY game no matter how bad it sucks) and in my opinion? It's possibly the worst port ever. Worse than Dark Souls, worse than any other PC port. And Final fantasy VIII was a pretty shoddy port, this is even worse.    It's locked to 30 fps for cutscenes and 60 fps in game and rendered at 720p, I mean you have to play at 1280 by 720 (although there's apparently now a fix made by a modder) and it's just terrible. The controls are obviously for 360 controllers, with the keyboard having a nonsensical layout. The stupidest addition ever and I mean not just "huh, why did they do that?" I mean "fuck you this is actually awful" is the fact that the ESC key doesn't just go back but closes the game entirely. It's completely insurmountable as a layout, there are almost no rebindable keys, so either use a controller or use the frustrating layout.   The cutscenes are in 720p as well and you can't really upscale them and considering the amount of cutscenes in the game, it's pretty horrible to watch through them. The cutscenes use 'bink video' as the codec, completely inexcusable. Just so badly encoded that we noticed stuttering during cutscene play. 26GB of the whopping 50GB download for this game is cinematics, that's how many there are.    The gameplay is okay for the time of the game, but they did nothing to change the game for PC, even the settings are pretty non existent. You get AA, but it doesn't help with the resolution if we're honest. One plus here is that the 60fps rarely drops, even on my friends relatively mid range card, which is a GTX 750, no OC.    To sum it up, if you're a final fantasy fan, even the most casual of fans will boycott this terrible port. It's frustrating, badly ported, blurry and jaggy. There are no more words to describe it, it's just that bad. I don't usually review things but man... I'm not even a big FF fan and I feel cheated, I didn't even play my own purchased copy either and I still feel like i've been cheated.
  24. 100% completion saved games?

How about just completing the game yourself and keeping a backup to mod for later?    Or do people not PLAY videogames anymore?
  25. What's our universe called?

It is only 'the universe' because we have no decisive or visible proof of other universes. I'm sure we'll name our universe something idiotic and unimaginative when we find another universe - then we'll give that one a cool sounding codename.
