I like movies but I'm no aficionado. Among my favourites;   Seven Samurai Battle Royale 12 Angry Men Planet of the Apes (1968 version) Star wars saga (Including the prequels, they're obviously not as good, but they're still decent) Chinatown Oldboy (Original, obviously. The less heard about the US remake the better) Ben-Hur Gladiator Apocalypto Sympathy for Mr.Vengeance Rashomon There are many, many more old and modern films that are great, these are some of my favourites though. I have no absolute favourite, although Oldboy is one such film I can watch and never tire or get bored of. 

I love Haiku. If you're good at it (I'm fairly sure i'm not) then you can make it flow beautifully; it just makes it a pleasure to read it. 

Has a strangely appropriate Avatar for most of his comments, including trying to be a cult leader. 

  Nah, i'm not like that. But with things as they are - steam seems to have a definite presence in the future of gaming. Like Xbox live or PSN. 

  They're only making movies because it's still a cash cow; all of the fans will buy it, no matter how terrible it is. Battle of Gods was pretty nonsensical, even for DBZ. 

  I wouldn't mess with any wheelchair user. Fucking mental upper body strength.    My uncle who had all sorts of problems before he died was also in a wheelchair. He could do pull ups like nobody's business. 

  That's never going to happen. Steam is big and massive, Gabe - as many of the problems he's made for himself in them media, slagging off other companies etc, he's pretty dedicated and definitely not a sellout.    PC games sales recently overtook consoles, most of that is steam. 

  I played Dragon Age: Origins from beginning to end with lots of mods and never had that problem.    I've not played Inquisition; is this a real thing?

  That's a geek. Nerds and geeks differ. Geeks are knowledgeable.   Although, computers are pretty simple. I build about 4 computers a week at the moment as a sideline to my normal job. 

Great manga; I agree, it's one of the best slice of life manga in years. Really well written with realistic characters that you empathise with. 

  Still doesn't make it good. The third is pretty bad as well in my opinion.

  Most comic book geeks are like Weeaboos, they consider their 'culture' and hobby to be far superior to others, without logical reason. They refuse to accept any new ideas into their lives; although i'll admit that some comic book geeks are more accepting than weeaboos, that's for sure. 

  I read a lot of the manga, it IS pretty messed up. 

And there are some great manga/manhwa series out there; some that don't follow the same shounen battle genre, without the ecchi and with great stories.   Golgo 13 is one such that deserves praise. It's one of the oldest manga still in publication, going since 1968, making it on par with many comic books. Except for it's pretty sucky ending, Naruto shaped a lot of peoples opinions on accepting manga. Full Metal Alchemist as well as Hunter X Hunter, both great genre defying manga that have wonderful stories and characters without Gratuitous nudity or violence.    I think the point here is that you can enjoy manga as well as comic books, they're not mutually exclusive. And you don't need to be a weeaboo or massive geek, shutting out your culture, friends, romance and the whole world to enjoy them either.    I'm also going to say this; I don't see why Attack on Titan is getting so much praise. It's a mediocre Manga, a terrible anime and it has boring, self loathing characters with incredibly depressing personalities. I've read it on and off since it's original release in manga and it's pretty bad. The art is pretty atrocious as well. 

People seem to think that in this day and age that obsessing over manga or obsessing over Comic books are different; I don't think they are. Yeah, one piece is hitting 1000 chapters soon, but think about how long each comic book series is - Spiderman, Xmen, Fantastic Four and even the obscure crap that very few people read or collect. I think they're both just as bad. Comic book geeks are also xenophobic prats in my opinions who have more in common with weeaboos than they care to admit. Cosplaying for example. People cosplay as a comic book character "it's geeky, it's uncool, nerd blah blah". People cosplaying as anime/manga character "it's art, it's awesome", despite being exactly the same circumstances.    No, they're both just as bad. We might spend a little too much time playing Skyrim on here, but these people live and breathe the cultures more than they will care about their own cultures that they were raised in. We can stop playing our modded fantasy games and go to work, go to the coffee shop or whatever; these people will go to great lengths to be with their obsession. 

  I thought the first one was a given.    And as for evangelion, why didn't they have a fucking Psychiatrist?! Half of those kids are accidents waiting to happen. 

Nice find fella. I had a torc that came with the tsun 7b conversion, but I wanted something more elaborate. These will do nicely.  

I'm looking for some nice neck accessories. Not just necklaces but something quite striking looking. Anyone know anything like that? 

  The Japs won't accept you as a resident unless you have an apartment and job lined up as soon as you arrive. They like continuity and reliability; even unemployment is very low there. There's a youtuber with the account lukemorse1 who successfully emigrated to japan. He knows the language, has a good job as someone who fixes computers, video games consoles, networking equipment, all sorts. He explained the pros and cons of living there and how is the best way to do so; it's very insightful if you're planning to move there someday.   The bottom line is that the japanese are still pretty xenophobic and the don't accept outsiders unless you are sorted in everyway; job, apartment, documents etc. Even then there's some luck involved. 

  I know right? And really easy to mod as well. The modding procedure for the steam version is to basically revert it to the old 1998 version, then mod it XD    For anyone who likes VII on PC, go to the proper modding website. It has limitless potential and looks stunning with lots of mods, like a proper remake. 

I've got some stances on this topic.    I had a friend; she was gorgeous, intelligent and she was an amazing artist.    That changed when she discovered anime. She ruined her talent to try to be a manga writer, stopped going outside because she watched so much anime. She became defensive, obnoxious and arrogant because she had this thing she was interested in. I was into it too, I watched anime, read manga, drew it from time to time when I was bored to compose any decent drawings. Her skin became greasy, she became fat, stopped trying to look even slightly decent in public and she of course became a feminist that believed that make up was wrong (because it's not like japanese women wear make up right? PSHT). I still tried to be her friend because we had similar interests, she tried learning japanese by watching anime alone and soon started incorporating it into her normal conversation like some sort of immigrant from japan.   We are no longer friends because I could no longer stand the person she became, she had a nasty temper and was basically 'addicted' to the culture, whilst degrading her own. She didn't eat or drink anything english, she would openly say that both tea and coffee are 'disgusting things nobody should be drinking' and english food was inferior and fattening. She moans about her family all of the time when she herself is just as bad, if not worse of a person than them. My own family has their problems, but I can admit that I have massive flaws too. She couldn't admit to her faults, believing in her own self-righteous way that she is perfect, with her badly drawn manga and her yaoi flooded my documents folder. I went out with her for a little while, but I couldn't even make it a month with her. She never even let me kiss her because she thinks that dating should be as slow as SHE wants, not thinking about her partner.    Weeaboos destroy themselves and their whole family to be that person. They don't care about anybody else about themselves. I've met A LOT of them over the years doing what I do. I've met dozens of graphic designers who also 'try to make it as a mangaka' and spectacularly fail. They're all arseholes, the lot of them. Arrogant and self-important, nothing matters to them except the japanese culture and trying to live it for real. None of them ever make it to japan because they can't fluently speak japanese because they don't actually bother to learn the language properly, and they don't have any connections to move there. They stay single for so long because thinking like a japanese person, they assume dating is awkward and slow, like a japanese courting ritual. They often have low sex drives, yet overdose on hentai and pornography. 

  Holy Horus, that annoys me too. I do download some in manual form, but they're always in the form to be used in NMM. IT completely ruins the usefulness sometimes and makes things a lot harder because you have to manually separate the data/mashes/textures folders. 

  One day the whole world will wake up and realise Religion is just a nonsense to give people hope. I only celebrate Christmas for the children, but I don't put decorations up until about a week before and take them down a week after. Some people say taking them down early is bad luck, but 'luck' is just as nonsense as religion.    What pisses me off? Reinstalling Skyrim after a fuck up in my installation (it was my own fault), using my written down order for installing it (I don't use MO, it doesn't seem any easier in my opinion) and then realising that I'd written something down in the wrong place. Doesn't seem too bad, but then realising that the order that I wrote incorrectly basically breaks the game. So a second re-installation is necessary.
