Can I nominate this for post of the year?

Generally how do people talk? Mics or typing?

Sounds interesting. I'll need to wait until I have a free weekend so I can jump in and give it a few hours at once. I can easily see myself getting addicted. I used to be obsessed with Playstation Home (yeah I know... sad to hear) and this is essentially the same thing with better customization and adult content so thumbs up for that.

I saw a commercial for it the other day where they were flashing quotes from reviewers during clips from the game and one of them was (paraphrasing) "This game is definitely not a let down!"
I laughed at that, as if they were directly responding to all of the uproar about the game being DEFINITELY a let down.

As someone with a passing interest, how much does it cost to play the game? Is it monthly fees, initial, or just whatever costs you come across buying content in game? I'd be interested in giving it a shot but don't necessarily want to be caught in the trap of a money pit if I start playing and buying everything in site (i have no will power)

I hate to admit it but I get caught up so much in peoples theories and reading all the small details or hints that may suggest something more is going on with the endings. One second I'm clicking a link and then suddenly three hours later I blink and realize I've been caught reading what people have to say for hours. While I won't say its a "Good" thing, I will say that the ending to this game has made me think and ponder it more then any other game ending in a very very long time.
That said I still want an official thumbs up or thumbs down on whats going on so get on that EA/Bioware

/>http://www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3-ending-hatred-5-reasons-the-fans-are-rightSlowly but surely media is starting to really look at the game instead of just waving this protest off.
Forbes also has done several good articles as well.

Mass Effect
(definition)
The resulting mass outcry of pain and displeasure when fans of the series realize that their countless hours of planning and playing their way through the games universe was only an experiment in futility. The subsequent poor ending/s of the game leads the players world wide to unite in their displeasure and demand that satisfaction be given over the broken promises and confusing last minute plot points.
(example) The ending of Mass Effect 3 has caused a "mass effect" of fan anger and feelings of betrayal by the game developers.
And just for the fun of it...

On the BioWare forums there is actually quite an interesting theorie floating around: Shepard has been indoctrinated. Of who i assume could be actually quite possible
NVM: to long to read :/
Actually i think it is quite possible and i REALLY HOPE that they will come out with better endings sooner or later
I just read through the indoctrination/hallucination threads and it really has me intrigued. I'm not holding my breath that its what is going on but it may help me sleep better if I can convince myself that is what it is.

@Presto' date=' regardless of what you read or see until you experience the endings for yourself........

By playing with the Shepard/universe that I have fashioned with 3 games to end like that.......it is just wrong on so many levels.

That's why I spoiled the ending/s for myself because I wanted to still enjoy the game and know what was coming to soften the blow. It does make make my desire to pull together all the assets I can a little pointless but I'm trying to squeeze every inch of fun out of the game before the story catches up and slaps me in the face.
What annoys me is that they go and give you an uninspired ending that insults all the hard work you put in trying to create your own story which we were kept being told would mean something only for it all to be flipped on its side at the end and all the freewill ripped from our hands. They could have tied up the story in so many different ways that still had the same overall outcome and tones but done it in a way that didn't spit in the face of the masses. Looking back on ME 1 and 2 now all my choices amount to is a few extra cut scenes during missions and maybe an extra few numbers on the galaxy readiness chart but where it matters the most, the ending, it means nothing.
Kinda upsetting that after this game I'm moving onto Silent Hill Downpour which I'm hearing is also another let down for one of my favorite game series of all times. Maybe I should just give in and start playing nothing but Call of Duty multiplayer since thats about the only game that seems to be getting attention anymore.

Fair warning' date=' post contains spoilers galore. But it's a *much* better ending then the one BW put together.
I like this post: [spoiler']http://arkis.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-3-Alternate-Endings-SPOILERS-289902125
I'm still playing through the game but the uproar over the poor ending lead me to read complaints, plot holes, and theories last night for 3 hours and after reading the poor endings Bioware gave us, this one right here is by far the better choice for what the ending should have been.

Playing on my Xbox and my character from ME2 won't transfer over. I checked and the file is there and everything (and I completed the game) so I have no idea whats up and why it isn't working. Happy to see that I tried so hard to finish the game with the choices that I wanted to see reflected in the 3rd game for no reason.
Big let down here
Yea it is broken on the consoles only the pc version works.
Apparently there are ways to convert PC files to XBox saves and import them to your console but I haven't figured it out yet. After an hour last night and an hour this morning I'm still coming up blank when ME3 searches for save game info to import.
Even if the advantages of importing the previous game aren't that great, I still want to see how this new world is shaped by the decisions I made in the past. (Saved the queen, genophage decision, love interests, letting certain people live/die, etc, etc) I'll keep playing around with the save game editors online and do my best to come up with a solution. Until then I'll just sit back and read all the scathing reviews about the plot and endings.

Played the demo this morning and it hyped me up to want to go play the second game again. I never got around to playing all the add ons for it so I guess its a good excuse to go pick it up and play it again before the third one comes out. Hopefully the final game is much more polished and hopefully they didn't put too much effort into the multiplayer since I have zero interest in that.

Haven't tried the demo yet but if that is seriously the run animation that they plan to have in the release that really is a joke.

Been playing it the past few days and its ok. Can't put my finger on it yet but something is off. Maybe the difficulty being a little on the easy side or maybe how everything feels so chaotic and lacking direction (in my opinion). Oblivion/Skyrim let you run off and complete a random quest that may take you anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. This game has a load of quests that take anywhere from 3-10 minutes to complete. I guess for some the quick satisfaction of polishing off a quest is fun but for me its a little too rushed.
Still need to dig further into the game and see if this stays the same or if these are just the beginning quests and the later ones start to get more epic.

Don't see the advertisements when I come here but I imagine its a mash up of Warcraft and a porn game?
I'm always a little cautious with games like that which have monthly fees through some billing company that is almost always impossible to cancel your service. A few years ago I had a subscription to SexVilla 2 (http://www.3d-sexgames.com/ ). It was fun for a little while but then I realized that the promise of more and better content was always "one month away" so I'd hang around only to be greeted with a little clothing pack or another form of a dildo. The game itself was great but the problem was the developers essentially made a sex game creation kit and charged you monthly to use it. A vast majority of the content was user created and the base game came with very little to keep you interested. Add in the long load times and the trickle of updates and paying monthly just didn't make sense to me anymore. It's about that time that I picked up Oblivion on the PC for $9.99 and had an impossible amount of hours of sexy FUN gameplay.
Edit:
Actually went back and saw that the game is now "free" but you need to buy sexcoins to unlock certain things in game (sounds like the scam that many Facebook games pull). I'd actually be tempted to get back into the game if I could manage my spending by paying for what I want and now spending a lump monthly fee but I can't find any info on what exactly you need the sexcoins for and how much they are to buy in the free version. I actually had a lot of fun with this game in the past and it was just the fee that got me so I might get back into now that it's "free".

Gave the demo a try this morning and I was pleased with it. The game feels very open and doesn't seem to push you in one direction. I got caught stealing in the first town I came into and ended up killing a few people as they retaliated (I couldn't figure out how to give up). In the end I killed two people that had previously talked with me about quests. I wasn't happy that it happened but the fact that it could happen is actually a positive. The camera is the main detractor here. It's zoomed in so much and with enemies attacking you from all angles (sometimes at range) it can be hard to fight the camera while you're also fighting everything around you. I'll admit that I didn't delve into the options too deeply so maybe you can change the camera to fix that.
The leveling system and freedom to craft a player that doesn't seem cookie cutter looks to be interesting but ultimately I can already tell that I'll play this game for 10+ hours and then give up on it. There is a good game in here but something about it just doesn't feel right and that it will keep me going for long.

Yeah they're both good but once I realized that I was playing the same game with just a few sexy skins it I lost interest quick. The game is good but it took too long to not accomplish a lot. I actually felt like I was living my own life :
"Waking up, showering, missing breakfast, going to work, coming home to nap, getting up to play on the computer, and then right back to sleep to only repeat it all again"
Even worse when I was getting booty calls at 1am but I ignored them because my character was always close to death from lack of sleep.

I'll give the demo a chance but from what I've seen of the game it doesn't look like my kind of rpg. I know it's probably stupid but I fear for the involvement EA has in the game and wonder if its just a lifeless experience like many of their other games.

I was friends with a girl that was ADDICTED to it. Never played it myself but apparently she ran a sex club of some sort where every night there would be random gatherings where people would tell sexy stories (over a microphone) and even masturbate for the group, sometime with motivation from the crowd. Sounded great but felt like something you really need to devote yourself too. Also the fees and other upkeep required didn't fit into my "drop in and do it once in awhile for a little fun" approach to adult gaming.
Also there is the very real fear of running into a guy playing as an 18 year old teen which is never the kind of surprise you want when you're looking for sexy time.

I know it's not in the realm of what you're looking for and just to confirm that fact I'd avoid Civilization 5 like the plague. I just downloaded it last night since the previous games have given me so many years of fun but this one is almost insulting how bad and even aggravating it is. Such a let down for a game with such great history.

Wow this game sucks the life out of you. I spent about a week creating the perfect home for my Sim family to live in and after that I spent about another week just having them jump into bed together in all various configurations. Unfortunately you still can't do much else yet except see them jump in bed under the sheets together and occasionally see that they had a disappointing experience in bed (yeah great motivator that).
The one thing that keeps me from delving further into this game is how focused it is on dragging obscene amounts of money out of your pocket to add onto it. The game came out over 2 years ago and it is still sold for $40 with many of the expansions being just as much. Many times you'll find a decent free mod online only to find that you need five extra expansion packs installed ($20-$40 a piece) just to use it. I'm enjoying myself with what I have for now but I'll have to itch my modding and "sexy game" desire somewhere else.

Just hit this game hard last night (Sims 3). Randomly came across this thread and I was hit with a sense of nostalgia for the first game that I played oh so many years ago. After downloading the game after work I blinked and suddenly it was 4am. Funny thing is that I didn't even download any substantial mods, just a few clothing and hair mods and I was still hooked.
Interested to see what I can find out there that makes the game a little more dynamic and add to the sex life of my Sim. I actually found it funny that when I became friends with my neighbors wife and had her sleep over the first night I met her, she started to randomly booty call me at 1am for a week straight. I was too desperate to regain my energy so I ignored it but it was fun to see it play out.

Mass Effect 3

I'm still slowly making my way through the game and just finally made it to the point where the Citadel gets transported to Earth. Part of me just thinks if I go slow enough and take my time, that they will introduce a patch or DLC to fix the ending before I have to experience it in my game. I've already watched all the endings multiple times online but something feels worse about watching it on my TV with MY Shepard.
