  1. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

The more people scared of testing the beta, the more of you that will suffer when it goes to release without full testing.
  2. Zaz Animations Not Loading

You're probably calling an invalid anim #, or you're using one of the no-prop anims which also requires you set refSurface to an existing device like a pillory or whatever.
  3. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

You've probably installed amra's plugin and that's causing the animation mismatch with the betas. No idea what could be causing the messed up vagina, never seen that before, but it's not sexout itself.
  4. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

You'd only know that if you had a secure channel to get that fingerprint in the first place, and had the technical knowhow. For the average person concerned with this kind if thing, neither of those is true. Tampering with the secure store is something they'd have to do, you're right, and that's exactly what happened with the Lenovo/superfish thing. I'm not saying, and haven't said, that encryption is pointless. I have said, and continue to say, that it's very situational. It's certainly pointless to encrypt all traffic between myself and youtube, or between myself an LL, or between myself and just about any non-shopping non-'subversive' site. This is different for people in other countries perhaps. So those people should have the option to use HTTPS, and by and large, they do. Asking that every site be encrypted all the time is a complete waste of time, money, and energy for no benefit to the majority of people or sites.
  5. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

This is often the attitude of the people that want a thing, don't fully understand the thing, and don't have to pay for the thing. SSL/TLS takes more CPU and memory resources, more network traffic (in some cases, much more, since encrypted traffic is incompressible by definition), and the certs cost money. Then, at the end of the day, it's not offering you the protection you think it is. All of your HTTPS traffic could be going to a spy box in the middle that's using a legitimate cert before being decrypted, logged, and then sent on to its destination. You'd never know it was happening unless you compared the cert to one retrieved from a known safe path.
  6. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

I can't find any rapidssl that's that cheap. The one year if bought from their clickvertised site (rapidsslonline) is $18, if you buy three years at once it's $13. Still less than the $50/yr on the main site though. I like them, have used in the past for normal and wildcard.
  7. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

A JS challenge response isn't any more vulnerable to attack than the one SSL/TLS itself uses. A local sniffer won't get anything of value from either one, and hijacking the browser locally compromises both. It's just a different channel. Certs have obviously come down in price though. I was going to say that RapidSSL was among the cheapest and they're still $50/yr, but you're using them and it was only $10?
  8. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

I didn't even realize you have/had a cert. Even the credentials though, I question their need to be encrypted with a real cert, unless you're doing something nearly as stupid as entering your CC info here -- using the same user/pass that you use elsewhere. Secure challenge/response for login can be implemented with a little javascript without any need for actual encryption or an SSL cert. SMF (simplemachines) supports this out of the box and has for almost ten years.
  9. Why not on Nexus?

Saying "I like LL better when there's less of this nonsense" isn't agreeing or disagreeing, it's an attempt to stop the conversation, however feeble.
  10. While the converse is NOT true. Editing your first post does not update the download page -- so editing the download page after that will nuke any edits you made to the thread. So the rule is to always edit the download page, not the forum post.
  11. Full SSL (HTTPS) support for the entire forum?

I'm sick to death of this "SSL/TLS everything" mentality. Not every bit between a webserver and your eyeballs merits encryption and the increased resources and costs such connections require. For crying out loud, youtube is fully HTTPS now and for what? Some bored sysadmin at my ISP might be peeking in on which videos I'm watching? All this does is add additional costs in bandwidth, processing, and memory at both ends. For a site like LL it also means paying the certificate mafia for a cert or else your browser is going to tell you the site is less secure than it thinks it is without any encryption at all!
  12. Why not on Nexus?

Nobody is forcing either of you to read threads with 'nexus' in the title, and considering the obvious direction they're likely to take, why click at all? There are valid criticisms of both sites, but if you really want to see where the rubber meets the road, try openly airing and discussing those criticisms in both places. The trajectory those threads take, along with your account status, will be rather illuminating.
  13. Oh the topics there are auto created from the actual download page you make, you don't make standalone topics. Click on that announcement on the top of the download area that says "go to file browser & uploader".
  14. Why not put this in the 'downloads' area?
  15. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

If you've tried three different downloads and none of them 'work', then I think it's how you're installing it, not the downloads themselves. They work for the rest of us..
  16. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

You either didn't install it correctly, or you installed an older version on top of it afterwards.
  17. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

Your NVSE version is WAY too old.
  18. SexoutNG - Beta (2.10.93b10) release thread

Can you upload nvse.log and nvse_extender.log as well please?
  19. Sexout Spunk

Sexout's update failed to run for one thing, failed horribly actually since it's still reporting v90 at the end. This looks like you upgraded from 90 -> 93(beta), not from 92, but that shouldn't be an issue on its own. Delete the debug.txt file and do that again please, but with just sexout.esm active (no other sexout mods). Upload to the sexout beta thread.
  20. Sexout Spunk

Capture an SCOF log. 1. start game. 2. Open console and enter this: scof "debug.txt"3. Close console.4. Load game, wait for it to quit. 5. Upload "debug.txt" from your game directory.
  21. Why not on Nexus?

Everyone should care, or haven't you been paying attention to the discussion?
  22. SexoutNG - Stable Release '95

You apparently have a conflicting plugin that is removing the bodysuit. Start disabling them until you figure out which one it is.
  23. Why not on Nexus?

This is just.. an ugly side to human nature, really. I've been in nearly identical real world situations at auto shows where some categories are voted on by the attendees, and the same people win every year because they come with a bunch of friends who all vote for them and their hideous pimped ride.
  24. Why not on Nexus?

I've tilted at the download counter windmill here myself, to no avail. I'd like to see it just made private, as it's useful for guessing at the exposure a beta has had. Making it public doesn't seem to have any point. The endorsements are even worse. A three year old mod that was great then but is wildly broken today will still show 50 billion endorsements.
  25. Why not on Nexus?

You know Kendo, the thing that pisses me off most about that whole BOG thing (now that the credits are fixed) is that despite every bit of that download being someone elses work that was released "go ahead and reuse, with credit" -- BOG itself isn't. Do five minutes of fiddling in photoshop, slap your watermark on one of the feet, and release it with the "THIS IS MINE USE IT AND GET SUED" license. Why? The all important ego stroking download counter. There is no other reasonable explanation.
