Why does this game constantly fuck with me ?
Anatriax replied to NiaticLabs's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
Actually, I did a fresh install a couple of days ago, loaded my install up with every mod listed in Realvision ENB's suggested mod list, and I'm runing Purevision ENB (Same author and suggested mods, just based on Pure Weathers instead of CoT). I'm at about 168 .esp files, a few of which are semi-script heavy, uGridsToLoad=7 I haven't had a CTD yet, since used the preconfigured .ini files on Realvision's page, and followed the Speed and Stability Guide for ENB. I'm running Mod Organizer. AMD FX 8120 (3.1ghz overclocked to 3.9ghz with liquid cooling) 8gb Kingston Hyper-X RAM ASUS GTX 660 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 I'm at a fairly stable 40fps all the time. I get a little stuttering, but that's mostly in The Rift, with all of the falling leaves, or in a heavy snow storm. -
The only thing I can suggest is trying to isolate the textures that are the "green" that you want, and duplicating those textures in place of the other colors. The problem with that, is that the other colors may use different meshes, which means the textures might look somewhat funky on them... meaning you'll have to go into CK, and make sure that the "green grass" is all pointing to the same mesh and texture. That could be several hours worth of working on getting your grass to look JUST right, and definitely worth uploading here or on the Nexus once it's complete. Time for a bottle of scotch, and some Grey's Anatomy while you get it done! Best of luck <3

Changing the color of the grass, I have no clue really. That's outside my expertise :/

Can I get some help with Sexlab pretty plz? :3
Anatriax replied to anon275's topic in Technical Support - SexLab Framework
My first, biggest, and most important suggestion is to go with a clean install of Skyrim... and make the leap to Mod Organizer. It makes switching between mods/setups 10000000000x easier and safer for your install. My second suggestion is to switch to LOOT, instead of BOSS. BOSS doesn't get updated any longer, so LOOT will be more accurate. I use the newest Beta version available on the website. (If you have questions about LOOT, feel free to PM me. I had a recent bout with it and have become quite familiar with the way it works). My last suggestion is to make sure to pour deeply over each mod's required master files. Without the right master files, mods will misbehave, and sometime's cause frequent CTD's, or the game won't even load. -
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7 is what's requried by SFO

Question concerning ece + sg textures renewal
Anatriax replied to Shirobako's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
I did read the entire post, and I've poured over a translated copy of the page you linked. What I'm not understanding is: Are you wanting different textures for your PC than the textures that NPC's will use? To answer the first question in your post: Yes, you should be able to just drop ECE and SG Renewal in to your mod manager, and things will be "mostly" fine. You might have to tweak a thing or two here and there (eye height, mouth height, nose width), but for the most part your character will be what it was prior to ECE. The reason for the tweaks to your character is because ECE uses it's own Facegen Morphs, not the vanilla ones. -
Under [Grass] in your skyrim.ini folder (found in My Documents\My Games\Skyrim or just use the .ini editor in MO if you use MO) reduce your iMinGrassSize. The lower the value, the more grass you'll have. I've read a lot of warnings about going below 40. SkyrimTuner (Realvision's auther) has stated that he sets his to 40.

Question concerning ece + sg textures renewal
Anatriax replied to Shirobako's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
Let me try to understand your question a little better. Are you asking if there's a way to replace only the PC's skin texture, and not the NPC's? -
No problem. Check the gamma in the ENB and make sure it's set to 1. It should be fine after you replace all body textures. :*
-
Do you have an ENB installed?
-
Not if you've installed a custom race. They have their own _n.dds files. Try installing a compatible body with the race, and see if that fixes it. If that doesn't fix it, take your _n.dds files from the body mod that you end up using and take those to the races texture folder under textures\actors\character, and copy them to that folder, overwriting as required.
-
are your _n.dds files from the same mod?

Why does this game constantly fuck with me ?
Anatriax replied to NiaticLabs's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
Sure thing Just a tip: if I have to do a totally fresh install, Realvision ENB's "suggested" mods list are always my starting point. I use another of SkyrimTuner's presets, though. Purevision ENB. Kinda the same? But it's based on Pure Weathers, instead of Climates of Tamriel. Less plugins/bloat than CoT, and I think it looks better. -
I've decided that I want to start work on a "new lands" project. This new land is going to be a land where nearly all quests are sex driven. Not many violent encounters (aside from side quests), the main quest is mainly completed through role-play and sexual acts. What I need at this point are a few ladies willing to be voice actors, and a person or two skilled in creating world spaces. Let me know if you're interested

Why does this game constantly fuck with me ?

Could be issues with the way memory is being handled, or bad scripts, or bad .ini tweaks... any number of things. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/ Follow that guide to start to stabalize your game. It helped me a great deal. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/? Download SkyrimTuner's .ini's optimized for Realvision (make sure to change whatever values your ENB preset tells you to). I use the ones optimized for uGridsToLoad=5, then change my uGrids to 7. That will solve at least any possibilities of it being memory problems, or bad .ini tweaks. If those don't solve it, you've got scripts somewhere that are running rampant, and it's a mod causing it to happen. Also try doing a virus scan and defraging the drive your install is on (unless you've installed it on an SSD. NEVER defrag an SSD. BAD juju). If all of this doesn't help stablize your game, I'll be glad to do what I can to help -
Why does this game constantly fuck with me ?

One of the glories of using MO. You don't have to start all over. Just move the mod where it needs to be. If you're using NMM just try uninstalling Alternate Life, and when you reinstall it, make sure that the .esp is the VERY last .esp loaded. -

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/45421-alternate-life-crash/ The solution I posted is usually what works for me -

There was a thread to this same problem posted not long ago with a solution in it <3 -
Follow this guide closely http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/ It should fix most of your issues. Thanks to that guide and a few of the people here at Lovers Lab, I now have the most stable and enjoyable Skyrim experience I've ever had. If you have tips on tweaks and whatnot, feel free to ask. I've done lots of research on .ini tweaks.

could be a specular overwrite. If you install your face mod after you've installed a specular (Sweaty or silky skin on Fair Skin > Adorable Face for one example) You'll have that happen if you don't pay attention to your overwrites, and the face overrides the head specular. If you're using NMM I suggest paying attention to your overwrites as they go through, making sure to not overwrite anything that has a _s.dds or _sk.dds extention. If you're using MO, you'll have to go through the mod and remove the speculars, making them a separate mod. 1. Extract the mod with 7zip. 2. Find the "female" folder (textures\actors\character\female) and copy the specular into a new folder. 3. Place the folder at the end of the same file structure (textures\actors\character\female\femalebody_1_s.dds for example) 4. zip the top folder with 7zip (textures folder) 5. install with MO AFTER the face mod. that should solve your problem if you're using MO. You can use the same process for NMM if you want to, so you can insure that nothing is getting overwritten on accident.

Have you tried opening the console and entering the command "enableplayercontrols" ?
-
I'm also guessing by looking at your .esp list that you don't have FNIS installed. Your animations won't work either, if that's the case.
-
So I found out why MO isn't recognizing the New Animation Pack from XP32. it's the file structure. I'm going to have to download each animation individually.
-
I'm doing a fresh install because I've decided it's time to switch to Mod Organizer. I went ahead and installed a few essential mods that I'll be using for every profile I plan on setting up. FNIS, a few basic animations, Unofficial Patches, Pure Weathers, Pure Waters, SkyUI, SSAssist, and Pinup Poser. Active Mod Files: 00 Skyrim.esm01 Update.esm02 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp [Version 2.0.8a]03 Dawnguard.esm04 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp [Version 2.0.9]05 HearthFires.esm06 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp [Version 2.0.9]07 Dragonborn.esm08 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp [Version 2.0.9]09 hdtHighHeel.esm0A Purewaters.esp0B SSAssist.esp0C FNISspells.esp0D dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp0E Pinup Poser.esp0F Pureweather.esp10 SkyUI.esp This load order works perfectly fine with SKSE outside of MO. When ran with SKSE inside of MO, the game crashes while attempting to start a new game. I've made sure that all .exe's in my main Skyrim directory are set to be ran as Administrator, and that all MO "links" are pointed to .exe's in the correct location.

Thank ya, love. I'll do just that. I'm doing a clean install right now, then I'll go over to the boys at S.T.E.P.
