On 2: Setting that to "true" basically turns ENB into ENBoost, as it disables all graphical capabilities of ENB, and uses only the memory hacks. If you look at the enblocal.ini that's contained with ENBoost (Which is all the mod is, a collection of enblocal.ini files pre-setup for AMD/Nvidia cards with varying amounts of VRAM), that's basically all it is. "UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true" is set. My mistake on that. It should be set to "true" and I've been saying "false" this whole thread >.< That's what happens when you have a sick kid at home with you!!! LOL

That honestly should be working fine. This is honestly something I would take to the ENB forums. Someone there might be able to provide more insight. Make sure to include a link to this thread in your post, so people can look through and see what we've already discussed, to prevent you from having the same conversation all over again.

Are you making sure to set: UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false In enblocal.ini? There really shouldn't be any conflicts or problems here. ENB(oost) is supposed to stabilize the VRAM capabilities and provide more availability. It just doesn't make sense that installing it would decrease performance and cause lag/CTD.

There are also changes that make most NPC's female. I'm sure it could be edited so that they're not female; however, I don't have the time to sit and basically create an entirely new .esp file to add just the lingerie shop and armor/clothes replacements. I really wish I did. :/

Dark Souls Combat v1.4.3
Anatriax replied to TheDriedFinger's topic in Downloads - Skyrim Non Adult Mods
It's all good Tbh, the only REAL reason PerMa is in my guide is because of the perks and reworks to leveling system... and that's been at the request of the community. I personally prefer SkyRe. LOL -
I use it mostly for the lingerie shop and the armor replacers that are included. I'll be editing that portion of the guide to let people know how to change things so that the functionality is limited to that EDIT: after messing around with the .esp in CS, it's not possible to remove the portions mentioned above. --Colourwheel's is optional for this guide--

One problem is NMM. It doesn't allow you to create a profile for mod testing, to make sure a mod is going to have no ill effects on your current save/install. (Testing is always a good idea) As far as solving your issue goes, we need more information. Load order, mod list, skyrim / skyrimprefs .ini configurations... so on and so forth. As far as FO4 being better to mod? Well... it's modding. There are going to be conflicts with mods, and mods that aren't written properly, or just plain unstable mods from pure laziness to debug (or total inability to do what is intended). It happens. It's part of modding, and learning what mods work best with what is part of the adventure. As to FO4 being built on Skyrim? I was under the impression that they're doing an entirely new revision of the Gamybro engine geared specifically at FO4. Mostly because of the limitations / instabilities of the Skyrim engine. It may be a revision and update of the current engine, and take the source code and fix errors, or it could be a total rework from the ground up. That remains unseen. Either way, I've been under the impression (since E3) that it's basically a totally new engine.

PerMa compatibility? or does it conflict? Just curious. If there are no conflicts, I'll test and add to my guide. -

Haha, when you wake up just have a look through my guide. I can say that for MOST of your mods it's going to be a good idea to redownload them, to get the most recent versions. Good news: You can hook MO to download Nexus links, just like NMM. -
Lol. I just said that, and provided him with directions on how to diagnose the problem, no matter what his mod manager is. lmao

Beginners Guide To 150 Mods Including Mesh, Texture, Physics, ENB, and More!
Anatriax replied to ifjiwj2342's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
If you'd like, I'm a bit too busy to work on updating my Skyrim guide constantly, as I also have Oblivion and Fallout guides to keep up with. Instead of having 3 different Skyrim guides floating around LL, I suggest the following: Look through my guide, make notes (in notepad) and provide your thoughts. We'll collaborate back and forth as to why one mod might be better than the other, and if it's something we can agree on that needs to be there? I'll see that it's added, and I'll also mention you in the credits. This is mostly to avoid confusion for readers of the forums, as well as making sure that the guides we DO have here on LL are 100% comprehensive, and it's something that several in the community have provided input on. -
Beginners Guide To 150 Mods Including Mesh, Texture, Physics, ENB, and More!
Anatriax replied to ifjiwj2342's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
One BIG problem. NMM. That's going to turn A LOT of people off. Make the switch to Mod Organizer. Less of a headache, easier to fix problems, more functionality. EDIT: If you had nothing to go on, you didn't do enough Google searches. "Skyrim Modding Guide" brings up STEP, my guide, and a few others that are more comprehensive. ie: they include specific directions on what to do where, what mods have the best balance of stability, functionality, and performance impact. Most of these guides also include specific examples of mods that should be used. CBBE over UNP (or vise versa), Pure Weather over CoT (or vise versa), instead of just a list of mods grouped in sections that do similar things. Kudos on the information about the different file types, though. That's something I haven't included in my personal guide, and probably should. -
Just looked up where you're having crashes. 99% of the time crashes at this point are caused by missing masters. NOT by d3d9.dll (ENB/SweetFX .dll file that actually tells the system how to handle the programming). Run LOOT, look for missing masters. If nothing? Run TES5Edit, look for errors in the right window.

Meh my game is randomly freezing :( help!
Anatriax replied to sophiextime's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
First statement: Once you learn MO, you'll never go back to anything else. First question: Yes, you will most likely lose your current character and any progress. Good news? Your game will be more stable, and you can easily catch back up without the frustrations of your game freezing or issues being caused Second question: No. You have to totally uninstall Skyrim, and reinstall it. This is to ensure that there are no remnants of mods left over, whatsoever. Last statement: I'm a stay at home mom. I'm here to help <3 -

As far as uninstalling mods from NMM? Well ... lets just say that's why I switched from NMM to MO about a year ago, and have no intentions of ever going back. Ever. Never. As far as too heavy goes? You're nowhere near the .esp/.esm limit of 255. Some of us here on LL have had as many as 500 .esp/.esm files (thanks to xEdit Merge Plugins Script), so no. Your load order is actually about average, if not a little below. I do highly suggest nuking your Skyrim install, and switching to Mod Organizer. I feel that if you like immersion, my guide is a good place for you to start, then you can SLOWLY start adding new mods to that setup. I basically hold your hand through the entire process of installing mods via Mod Organizer in my guide So it should be an easy experience, and by the time it's all done you will have intermediate knowledge of how MO works, and it's features. -
need help installing Morroblivion with LoversPK
Anatriax replied to DeadSomething's topic in Oblivion Adult Mods
Actually, as the guide nears completion, I'll be walking you through taking those 4096x4096 textures and compressing them into vanilla sized 1024x1024 textures. However, that being said, you can leave out the phases on texture overhauls and the ENB part. Everything else is pretty much bug fixing. As the guide says, it's still work in progress. I have about another 4-5 phases to add, only one of them being "fancy graphics". The rest will be geared at adding gameplay overhauls, and Lovers mods. -

Swap Climates of Tamriel for Pure Weather. CoT is very script heavy, and people have reported significant performance increases by switching to Pure Weather. Being Female is known to be buggy. Try Relighting Skyrim instead of ELFX. Relighting Skyrim has a scriptless option. Install that to reduce the amount of scripts running. There are some other options that I would put your way, but you use NMM, and unfortunately those options are much more complex than they need to be, with said mod manager. If you used Mod Organizer, it would be much easier to walk you through the process of reducing your load order (by at least 3). -

Heya If you would, provide us with a full mod list (not plugins/load order. A full list of the mods you use.), load order (so we can see if the plugins are loading in the correct order), System Specs, skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini settings, If you use ENB we'll need enblocal.ini settings, as well as any papyrus logs that you have. Thanks -

My screenshots have been broken since the last revision in early July. No clue why, either. I'm going to have to upload totally new ones. I'll get to that once I go through my install process (and revise the guide, yet again), which I'll get to once I've completed my Morroblivion guide, and go back through the TTW guide and fix some of the bugs I've found there while playing. I do include Pre-Cache Killer (and several other mods) in my guide, mostly for preventative measures, too. I know A LOT of people don't have the problem I've mentioned... but if they follow my guide, they're getting most of the fixes that cause issues taken care of ahead of time. 95% of the issues people have reported with my guide are user error, because they didn't read the directions entirely. LOL The other 5% has been hardware not being able to keep up with the heavy scripting, or HD textures. Thank you, though. Hearing that I've done a good job on my guide brings a smile to my face (more than my hubby does hehe). -

All you have to do is look at my guide and see what mods I use, and what changes I make to them. I have a different MO profile for testing mods WITH that setup, but primarily that's my playthru setup. Like I said, I've always experienced hangups when bringing up Racemenu. Installing the dedicated Precache Killer fixes it. One "disables" the cache, the other completely dumps the memory blocks whenever you enter the command "showracemenu". So logically: One keeps things from loading that it shouldn't, the other dumps everything that shouldn't be there. Sounds like a pretty good (and logical) combination to me, and it's proven to work over 3 years of modding. EDIT: Not trying to sound argumentative. Just stating that, just because it hasn't been needed for you, or you haven't heard of the issue from others... doesn't mean that the issue isn't there. When it is there? This is the fix I've found after trying several other fixes. -

I'm currently working up a complete guide for Morroblivion, unfortunately I won't be covering German. There WILL be some Lovers mods included, though. Might be worth your time to check it out once it's complete (Still a few days off). -

Anatriax replied to jumquat's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
Really? Then why does my system lag when bringing up the racemenu without them? Hmmmmmm. EDIT: I just read through the documentation for Racemenu. It does not say anything about having the precache killer integrated into Racemenu anywhere at all. "DisableFaceGenCache", yes. It says it includes that. Tried it before. It never worked for me. Racemenu Precache Killer does. I've been using racemenu for years, on a very heavily modded game. I have ALWAYS had to have the precache killer in order to prevent super long load times, and CTDs, during character creation and editing. The same goes with Safety Load. Yes yes. I know that it SAYS if you have your memory blocks set up properly in SKSE.ini, you do not need it. This isn't entirely true. Setting up your memory blocks doesn't prevent the infinite loading screen. Safety Load does, and it also makes sure the blocks are dumped at the start of a loading screen.
