  1.

    I'm personally an NVidia fan.

    However:

    http://www.pcgamer.com/why-nvidias-gtx-970-slows-down-using-more-than-35gb-vram/

Spend the extra money and get a GTX 980.

^This is what has me questioning going to Nvidia. And I think the extra VRAM from the 390 would help a lot with the oculus rift. BUT then I think of 2016's line up and idk what to do lol. This new tech that is suppose to be in the 2016 Nvidia cards https://developer.nvidia.com/deep-learning idk what kind of a difference that'll make for gaming?

The 970 is the only card that has this problem reported. 960, 980, and 980ti do not have this problem.

  2. You have done the work and it looks quite good. There is no reason for you not to upload your works. There might be people that won't like it, so what. who cares? There will be people that will and that is all that matters. In the event that someone doesn't like them all you wasted was 5 minutes setting up the download page and answering a few questions. Don't let any hesitation prevent you from releasing your works.

    Exactly my thoughts.

You put the time into it. If you feel like sharing, upload it.

Personally, I'd share some of the stuff I've done, but it would take me forever to upload it all :( So I tend to stick to Bodyslide conversions of pieces of armor I REALLY like. And this... this fits the bill. <3

  3. I use Mod Organizer, after doing all this would I over write the esp or put the esp file in a zip and just let the esp mod overwrite the original mod? Or what would I exactly do?

    I would:

Right click the mod with the original esp, navigate to the "Optional ESP's" Tab, and move it up to the top window.

THEN drag the modified ESP into that mod. Less clutter in MO that way.

  4. I almost always unpack my BSA's. Not because MO doesn't handle them properly.

With the "Let MO handle BSA" option, all it does is makes it so those BSA's are handled by an ini file, and loaded that way... instead of with the dummy ESP file.

However, I unpack most of my BSA's because: 1) I don't care about drive space. I have over 8tb of space. 2) It does seem to increase performance (even if it's only a little) because the game engine doesn't have to unpack it to load it. It just loads it. 3) It's RUMORED (for certain games) that BSA files can count against the plugin limit. 4) I find it makes assets easier to manage/manipulate for my own purposes.

  5. DDSopt optimizes the textures, and can reduce the size of said textures so that it uses lest VRAM, therefore increasing performance while maintaining maximum quality of graphics.

That image had DDSopt ran, reducing textures from 2k+ to 1k. The ENB is Seasons of Skyrim. With an AMD FX 8120 and an NVIDIA GTX 960 4gb and 8gb of System RAM I'm running appx 50fps nearly constantly.

Highest performance possible with best graphics possible.

And these textures, when optimized, are actually less of a performance impact than VANILLA textures.

A second image with high resolution textures that have been optimized by DDSopt. Still maintaining an average of 50fps in all locations.

Note that NO skin or armor textures have been ran through DDSopt. I wanted them to remain at 2k+

  6. What do you mean by mixing graphic mods?

ENB with a weather system, lighting, and textures? yeah if you know what you're doing.

The ENB has to be designed for the weather and lighting mods mentioned. Using the wrong mods with an ENB can result in a game that looks like mud.

Textures are pretty much compatible with everything.

  7. Thank you. So I installed skse, skyui, fnis, unoffical patches, then the enb download from the enb website. Loaded the game with no errors. Now can I add on mods that use enb? What would be a good single mod that redoes the lighting, storms, and textures? Or should I just piece this together with different mods?

    >.<

Mods don't use ENB. ENB uses mods.

I thought we clarified that already.
