  1. Like I said. Improperly setup.

Chances are it was just a bad configuration in enbseries.ini (or compatible with only one lighting mod).

However, I've never personally seen an ENB preset do this.

I have, however, seen this exact issue with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout NV. Every time it was solved by deleting the Shaders or ShadersFX folder, and letting Steam re-aquire the files.

However; the OP is clearly running a pirated copy of Skyrim. This is something that LL does NOT condone. I won't continue debating with you to provide support for pirated software.

Did you follow the S.T.E.P instructions on how to run FNIS through Mod Organizer?

Also, it is possible that when you upgraded WIndows your UAC permissions maybe are set so that maybe it's blocking FNIS from being able to launch through a secondary program. Also, a firewall can do this too. It is possible Windows Firewall is even blocking this, so maybe check both those things.

To prevent this issue, always have your games that you are planning to mod on a SEPARATE drive than your OS drive.

IF you only have one drive, make sure there's a separate folder on the root of the drive (C:/Steam) where Steam and it's games are installed.

Get this nifty little batch file: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

It allows you to "take ownership" of a file (or files contained in a folder). Run that on the (C:/Steam) folder. UAC shouldn't bother it at all, then.

That is not actually entirely true. i have my Steam install of Skyrim on a completely different drive than my operating system and still had that problem. Altho i am still running Win7.

i didn't have the UAC problem, i mean (and maybe that is the only issue you were addressing). My issue was the firewall one that i mention second in the post you quote.

My software firewall absolutely was finding "Mod Organizer trying to launch another program" suspicious. And initially killing MO launching and running things like FNIS properly as it wasn't wanting to let FNIS write to MO folder or something. Even though MO and FNIS are both on my non-operating drive. So you cannot prevent such issue merely by installing Steam or your Steam games on a non-OS drive. Not if you're running a software firewall, anyway.

My issue was quite similar to wr1's.. so that's why i suspected some settings might have gotten funny when upgrading to win10.

Well the key words WERE "to prevent".

Condom's prevent pregnancy and STD's, even though they don't do it 100% of the time xD

  4. If you're modding with MO, ALL 3rd party programs that affect your Skyrim install MUST be ran through Mod Organizer, and the game MUST be launched through Mod Organizer or the effects won't take place (at least not properly) and you'll have more issues than you started with.

Stick with MO. I'm SURE it's something silly that's being overlooked. Once you get it figured out, you're gonna feel like this:

    post-172422-0-88997100-1439412329_thumb.

And then you'll NEVER go back to any tool other than Mod Organizer.

  5. I'd rather see a sequel to Legend of Dragoon, than an exact remake. Same with FF7. What happens AFTER Sephiroth is killed?

People need to get some original ideas, and quit making remakes.

2015 is the year of the remake. Our games are loaded with it. Our movies are loaded with it... Something original, please!!!

  6.

On the cleaner tab, click "Run Cleaner" in the bottom right

On the registry tab, click "Scan for issues" on the bottom. When it's done, select "Fix selected issues" make a backup, then click Fix All

BTW just a tip. Move the download link for TESVEdit to phase 2 instead of phase 5... You do tell us to use TES5Edit in phase 2 but you dont tell us to download until phase 5... Also you tell us to delete cell information in the left pane but I dont understand what you mean by that...

Noted on the move. Thanks. I'll get that fixed soon :)

As for the Cell information. If you expand a plugin inside of the left pane of TES5Edit, there are several headers. One of them is labeled "Cell". You delete that. The reason for this: Some Skyproc Patchers have problems with some information contained here, and don't recognize it as USKP. This resolves that issue.

  8. 1) Save Tools don't touch MO. They only touch the save files.

    2) If you had a problem with MO, it was probably something that was fixable by deleting all folders except PROFILES and MODS from the Mod Organizer install directory, then reinstalling Mod Organizer.

    3) There are countless threads in the forums about getting FNIS to register the creature pack. Dig around :)
