  1. I am running SL1.60.2, I did everything the same with MNC9.1 as when I installed MNC8.0-9.0. Only now when I go into Mod Configuration menu every menu item under the Creature Framework has a $ in front of the name and nothing is selectable. The only version of the CF I have is the one that is installed by MNC 9.1...


     


    Reverted to MNC9.0 and everything is working fine again.


     


    Any ideas?

  2. Revisiting my previous post, all the errors I reported were fixed by hotfix 2 (teleportation in particular).


     


    I have tested as many animations as I could in Eager NPCs, and there are three that still have issues. Rough behind and arrok rape cause the NPC to fall through the floor, but only to their waist. Arrok anal has the dom NPC just stand with arms spread and swaying back and forth. These may be issues with the animations themselves, not sexlab.


     


    Captured Dreams, seems ok too, the zaz gags in the shop do not clip, the chained animations are displayed properly.


     


    Thanks Ashal, I think this one is a keeper, at least for me. I particularly like that high heel scripts now get restored after the act.

  3. I noticed a couple of issues. If this post gets buried, it's not a big deal, as the issues I encountered were reported by others except for the first one...


     


    I did not do a clean install, as deactivating some of the mods would lose progress.


    - After removing 1.59c then activating 1.60 with NMM (and running Loot and FNIS), I simply got the message Sexlap 1.60 ready. No matter where I looked there was NO install button in MCM. None. Where should it be?


    - The Player experience under Sexlab disappeared. All that is still listed is number of encounters and most frequent partner.


    - While in a very small room within Dragonsreach my character was teleported a distance away within the same cell before animation start, and on animation end.


    - A couple of Arok animations were buggy. Either the NPC or my toon and the NPC were just standing, swaying with their arms spread wide.


    - When cycling through animations, the NPC fell through the floor during a couple of them. Advancing to the next stage usually brought the NPC back to the proper level.


     


    I reset animations, reset Zaz, etc but nothing seems to have fixed the issues. I did not try very hard, just reverted to 1.59c and I am back to normal. Just wanted to document my experience.

    People who bitched and whined about Nexus, but still use it. People who bitched and whined about people making money on their ORIGINAL assets, and will still use them. How many are you going to keep crucifying these mod makers, but stop using SKYUI all together? You guys going to crucify Expired and stop using Racemenu because he put up a mod on the workshop for sale? What about the other authors who were trying to sell their models?

     

    Lets take this further. What about amateur artists who ask for commisions? Are we going to rally against them for seeking compensation for their hobby? I saw tons of rhetoric about "Well if you want a job doing this why don't you go work for a game company!?" or that "Modding is a hobby!"

    Someone used the whittler analogy and people were like, "but its a physical product?!" So are digital artists not allowed to be paid for their work?

     

    There are so many "but.."s going around its starting to smell like farts.

     

    The problem wasn't being paid for mods. The problem was that it wasn't REGULATED, and mods could easily be stolen. The problem was that the cut was TOO small. The problem was that the community was already to established and mods relied on too much of OTHER people's work to effectively sell.

     

    Every modder, who makes original assets, deserves to be paid something, because they are doing a service, and providing a new product. Whether you view modding as a hobby or an entry into the development world doesn't matter.

     

     

    Ok, here is what bothered me, particularly about SkyUI. At first it filled a niche, and because it was better than most similar mods, it became the most popular. Development of hundreds other mods became dependent on in, including our Sexlab and pretty much all of its relatives (Zaz, devious, etc, you know the list better than I do). How much extra work would have to be invested in removing the SkyUI dependency from Sexlab alone?

     

    Now there are two issues I'd like to address. First, SkyUI would have NEVER become as popular if it had started as a paid mod. I certainly would never buy it, and I am certain most other gamers feel the same way. So what really internet upsets me is that the SkyUI creator pretty much pulled a bait and switch. In most places that is at least immoral.

     

    Second, imagine if the author had decided that SkyUI was doing to be hidden/deleted off the Nexus, and the only version available was the paid Steam one. ALL that work other modders invested into their creations was suddenly useless. I don't know about you, but in my line of work if any of our suppliers required our customers directly to pay extra in order to use our product, we'd dump that supplier in a heartbeat. Luckily this wasn't going to happen, but it was a possibility.

     

    Lastly, how is SkyUI worth $10? Skyrim cost $60 on release. Did they really think one mod, albeit an important one, is worth a SIXTH of the entire game? Even if that price were reasonable, the ONLY basis is the number of users and mods requiring SkyUI. Which would have never been there in the first place if the author hadn't pulled a bait and switch, going from free to paid.

     

    The above touches on your other points. Yes, artists, content creators, modders should be compensated fairly. But they should be upfront about it, and make sure their users are aware of the costs at the start, not after hundreds of thousands of users downloaded your work already and helped you make a name for yourself.

    So Valve and Bethesda backpedaled on the whole paid mod fiasco. That great news that reflects well on both companies, however just a quick poll would have spared them the backlash. Gabe reported on reddit that while the paid mods generated $10k in revenue over 2-3 days, the costs of dealing with the fallout cost them over $1 million.


     


     


    What I am really curious is what will modders do. I am particularly thinking of SkyUI. In their defense, they did leave 4.1 freely available on the Nexus. And they did promise that the API was not going to change, maintaining backwards compatibility of future revisions and 4.1. But their 5.0 version, that took about a year to arrive was to be a paid exclusive.


     


    Are they going to upload it to the Nexus now that so many users on that site voiced their... displeasure?


     


    Anyway, we'll see...

    FWIW, When I am talking to a client I am also getting [...] instead of an actual amount of gold in the dialogue. However the NPC is paying a certain amount of gold before the act itself. It seems like the bug is in displaying the available amounts.

    You need to use the "Reset Quests" option in the MCM to get those values to display properly.

  7. During Home Delivery I keep getting a CTD as soon as (I think) a three way or something else is supposed to happen. Basically first NPC works, second NPC works, then just CTD. I am just wondering if RP is compatible with the new Zaz 6.0.

    I tried a few more times, and even when there was a single NPC, it still crashed. Also, instead of CTD, I am getting a Runtime 6025( I think) error with the game frozen in the background.

     

    And  after more tries, the home delivery worked but only when there was a single NPC involved, no guests. Then when the out of town letter quest appeared, the first time nothing happened, just a message saying the quest did not start, try again. On speaking to the inkeeper again and going through the same dialogue ree, I got the Natural quest. Is there another one preceeding it?

     

    Not to complain too much, but as great as this mod seems to be, it's a bit wonky on my system...

    Turn down the arousal requirement of clients?

    It's a menu option already which you can set as low as zero.

     

     

    That's not foolproof, though.  I've had high-arousal characters with the arousal threshold for TDF set way down low, only to still get rejected on the matter.

     

    Happened to me as well when I visited Solitude. In every other city I could get most NPCs to participate, but in Solitude the situation was reversed. A few game days later and everything went to normal.

     

    I do have a question for TheDriedFinger. I am very new to Sexlab, so I haven't followed the developments of any of the mods. Please forgive me if this was answered somewhere in the preceeding 80 or so pages.

     

    Is TDF aware of Zaz animations? It's not listed under requirements, but I have Devious devices, Zaz, etc installed and running correctly. And I could have sworn once a bondage rack was used during a three way initiated by TDF. Is that even possible? In any case, it got me to thinking if this mod could implement items from devious devices. Say one of the prostitutes is wearing slave boots, collars, cuffs or harness and the animations switch over to Zaz. As it stands TDF seems to just ignore those devices and plays the regular animations which breaks the immersion a bit.

  9. I just installed Soliciting, and every single required package. I believe I got everything right, not the first time I'm installing Sexout, and everything worked perfectly at first. However at some point ALL animations refused playing in every location (Novac, Primm, merchants). Loading a previous save fixed the issue. Any ideas or more info required? Unfortunately I deleted the offending save, so I cannot generate crash dumps, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary in console.


     


    Edit: I should specify, I did not install wear and tear, pregnancy and spunk. Everything else checks out. No missing meshes, all animations are working (when they are working).


     


    I also tried two parties at Helios. One had the animations stop working when I told 4-5 NPCs I want to finish my beer. Even after getting approached later, the animations would not play, like above. The second one ended in a CTD.

  10. I may need to get a new drive for my laptop, which means reinstalling Oblivion. The ONE thing that gives me nightmares (and also the reason I still have a 3 year old Windows 7 install that moved between 4 laptops) is reinstalling MBP and getting all the meshes and textures working with their corresponding races, etc. So I'd like to give the no MBP versions of plugins a try. My question though is how will the NPCs look? Will the female NPCs keep their MBP anime appearance, change to Colourwheels aesthetics or will they revert to hideous stock Oblivion?


     


    I love this game, and I think I have close to 1000 hours of playtime between all my PCs, but holly crap are the stock NPCs fugly.

  11. Yes the Trainers tell you their own training Level , you can ask a Trainer without a slave and he reports his training Progress.

     

    It's good if you know the level of the Trainer, if you train a Level 1 slave with a -1 Level Trainer your slave will not reach Level 2. I have some slaves Level 0 and 1 with 255 Training Units because I used a low Level Trainer.

    Especially at the beginning you must take care of the Training Levels when a -1 trainer and a -1 slave starts training it could happen that the slave reached the next Level before the Trainer, then you must stop the Training and give the Trainer a new untrained slave. You can also train with your Trainer to Level him up.

    Now I only use a few Trainers so they are all Level 5 and can quickly train my slaves.

     

    If you want to "untrain" a slave ( perhaps he is still Level 0 and have reached max 255 Training Units. So you can reduse the Training Units and train him with a high Level Trainer so the slave can reach Level 5)

  12. I have about 200 hours into the current playthrough, and I just noticed a minor bug. When taking a slave to be trained into BU, you can ask both the human trainer and the slave what is the training progress. The slave will report the correct level, but the trainer will jump up to 255, which is the max. Now I haven't used this feature in a looooong while, I completed the main quest, the assassin guild quest and a lot of Shivering Isles quests in the meantime. But I did not change anything at all in the actual game install. And the last I remember, both the trainer and the slave were reporting the correct numbers.


     


    Has anyone encountered something similar?


     


    Edit: Tried it with some older saves (around 100-150h game play), and it seems like the same thing is happening. Could it be that the trainer is reporting their own status? I think his name is Josepth, and at the 100h mark he has the rank 111, while at the 150h mark he is at 255, which makes sense because I used him a lot. The slaves themselves are still reporting the correct rank.

  13. I just did a fresh install of the latest nvse, nvse extender, Sexout (stable), tryouts (beta from Oct 15) and zaz. Everything worked perfectly at first on thr ncr, casino, kings and legion sides (did not install fiends or khans, and I did not play the powder gangers quests). Animations, approaches, etc did not give any errors. However after about 6h of play time, after getting the USO girl perk plus a lot of legion experiences, things started to go wonky.

    Approaches started to malfunction, like teleporting into Cottonwood Cove and none of the NPCs would even detect me (no messages in console about failure or success rates). I was starting to get CTDs a lot more frequently. Generally the whole tryouts install was degrading.

    Is this something that could happen? If yes, what could be the cause?

    I'm still not running sexout AT ALL, however I did upgrade NVSE from 2b12 to 4.2b2 and Extender from 11 to 12. I seem to be getting significantly more CTDs now, but I don't know if it's because of the upgrade or because I'm playing through Honest Hearts. Sorry for posting here, just want to see if anyone noticed a similar behavior.

    Nobody that I've heard from.

     

    After doing some more digging, it would seem that either my savegame got buggered up again, OR Honest Hearts has some specific buggy area I must avoid. Shortly after posting the previous message I managed to play about 1h without a CTD by sleeping 72h in game and avoiding the area that was crashing me out.

  16. While I think adding this option would be a nice adittion, currently tryouts has a few issues that I hope pride fixes first. The Einstein quest is disabled and needs rebuilding. Some powder gangers bits are also disabled and need work. Then there's the Khans quest that seems to make a mess of things even if you set approaches to zero (I think I spent a few hours getting it completed, and it's a small, inconsequential quest).


     


    I'd rather have a rock solid sexout base, like Oblivion's Lovers with PK, and build on top of that. I put about 200h in one Oblivion toon, completed Bravil Underground, Crowning Isle and a few other quests, and I don't think I got more than 4-5 CTDs. Try that with FNV and tryouts.


     


    I can only hope we'll get there before FO4 comes out and all the devs lose interest in FNV. That's what happened to FO3 btw...

  17. It depends on the mod. In general they're safe. They become potentially dangerous in mods that make extensive use of callbacks like the long sequences in tryouts, but I put a lot of work along with jaam into getting those working too. I say try with them on, but save before the conversation -- e.g. before talking to motor runner (fiends) or starting the marissa stuff in legion. If you encounter a problem with them on, try again with them off, and report back.

    The crash on exit has been fixed for a long time in the beta of NG -- I just forgot it was fixed over there and that I hadn't made it into a release yet, apologies to everyone! I found out the hard way when I tested the install after adding the skeleton and found my game crashing on exit again. ;)

     

    After my roughly 1-1.5k hours spent on Oblivion, Skyrim, FO3 anf FNV, I learned to save every 5-10mins of game time. I will get tryouts running tomorrow and report back with any problems.

  18. In that case, I think I'll pull the trigger on Sexout and SCR plus maybe SexoutSex. I'm not into the pregnancy, lust, etc side of things. I'd love to give tryouts a go, but on my last playthrough I made a mess of things. Probably because I started with the beta, then back to stable, then to a later beta. Ad in a mix of SCR stable then beta, SSR, etc. You get the picture. My savegame was so bugged, I just uninstalled FNV and gave it a rest. :)


     


    Anyway, one last question. If I get the latest Sexout, SCR beta, latest tryouts with their respective dependencies, am I safe? Meaning can I complete every quest? I won't install the Fiends or Khans plugins since they were buggy for me last time.

    I hope they dont do what they did with the animations with skyrim with Fallout 4. I just started getting the idea of how things worked... need more time. more time, lots more time. (A few extra brain cells would help as well... :P )

     

     

    Considering Fallout 4 is likely using the same engine as Skyrim, I'm afraid the same limitations will apply. The positive part if this is the case, most of the heavy lifting has already been done with FNIS.

     

    Coming back to FNV and Sexout, I've JUST done a clean install of FNV and haven't installed a single mod yet. It's a brand new playthrough as well. Should I wait for you pride to release something within a few days? I can make my way towards the strip avoiding the tryouts areas (powdergangers, fiends, etc) while I wait for updates.

  20. Yes I was just testing, and miss femdom's dog fuctions fine it is only seems like those other three in crowning bay area, as best i can tell.. I am looking at it some.

     

       It is strange, and does not really make sense, I actually shut the animal scripts down when you have the Love armor on, and make the Lust slave un usable. so I am having trouble figuring it out.

     

      No other animal seems to be effected only those i think three dogs

     

    I just tested the situation, and once the CrowningIsle dog knocked me down, my PC stood up, then NOTHING happened for 3 real life minutes. I got bored with waiting longer, but I am pretty sure the game was stuck for good. Camera could rotate, NPCs were walking around, etc. Just my PC and the dog were stuck.

     

    And I just noticed the same thing happened with Dirty Sally, on two occasions after loading the same save. But any other NPC work perfectly fine. I will try to do some more NPC testing tomorrow, but all the males (Emisary, Brother John, etc) are fine.
