I think that companions do use ammo. When I gave one of them mingun without additional ammo in his backpack he always switched to his default weapon (that has unlimited ammo). After that I didn't bothered giving them other weapon. It also could be just stupid ai package glitch like with deacon and power armour. And hostile npc do use stimpacks or at last have scipred to use it (even if they dont have any).

  I would drop relativity it doesn't scale with KW well. Also also other naraas mod could cause lag running alongside kw like errortrap ect. Ty game without other scriptmods then see if it is lagging.

Companions doesn't drain fusion core. At last they didn't when game was launched. Maybe they fixed in a patch. So you could literally have mother fucking power armour run 24/h from beginning of game. BTW Give power armour to Deacon, you will unistall this game 20 min later.

Command him and target power armour. Same with settler, enter build mode, select settler, target armour. note that it wont always work for settler, duno if it is bug that they can enter it or not. To make companion exit it, just talk to him. But it had scaled spawn. If you are below lvl 30 you will get a normal one.

You can go to other end of map in 10 min. There is apox 28 grids, lets assume that your view range is one grid (is much further but let assume that to make it easy). So it will take you apox 280 min (4,6h) to explore everything. Not counting indoors and inaccessible areas. Enjoy.
