You can run the armor through Outfit Studio and Bodyslide 2, to straight up remove mesh parts. And I don't mean just deleting an element of the mesh, but applying a mask that Bodyslide will use to remove the masked sections entirely.
Oooh. I had heard that bodyslide can do cool stuff, but didn't know it was that useful. I'll have to install it and give it a shot.
Thanks for the tip!

I made a copy of the body texture, set it to use that, cut out the legs on the copy and added a NiAlphaFlag to the nif

legs in the pants

no more clipping

or just download the nif to blender tuto on nexus, import the nif and delete the pants

or make them bigger

I don't have trouble with actually messing with the mesh itself, but I can't for the life of me figure out the weight painting / rigging bits. I've never been able to.
Is that something that's necessary? Or can I just port the armor into blender, mess about with it then export it without having to do all that stuff?

So I've been messing about with the Draugr armor. Through both the use of The "Skyrim Modesty Mod" (which helped out a lot) and amidianborn's textures, I've been trying to make a lighter sort of leather-esque draugr armor. I'll ask the makers of both mods if they'd be okay with me publically releasing this (It's a basic armor mashup.)
However, I'm stuck at the moment. See, the body mesh still has the legs on it. Being the type who fixes most things with alpha layers, I made a copy of the body texture, set it to use that, cut out the legs on the copy and added a NiAlphaFlag to the nif. I set the flags to 128, disabled blending, set the value to Greater and enabled testing. It looks perfectly fine in Nifskope
My problem, however, is that the alpha layer does NOT apply ingame. I even tried manually messing with the vertices in nifskope (I'm awful with blender/3ds max). I can't seem to figure this out, and the clipping is horrible ingame.
Any help?
(By the way, be warned I'm not all that great with mashups in nifskope. It's kind of ugly at the moment xD

I feel the same way and I've tried rigging one of the robes while following Canderes' tutorial vid but man I gave up real fast as soon as it didn't work the first time *hopeless*
I feel your pain. I've tried just basic mesh work and it flies right over my head.
It makes me sad that we've still yet to see a full HDT conversion of vanilla assets
(well, aside from the skimpy conversions, that is.)1 -
And I don't mean bouncing boobs... please not that. I mean have the robe bit flow and move a bit. Like weak physics, hangs low, etc.
I've been waiting for a mod like this since HDT first came out, but so far it's only been sexual related mods with VERY few clothing physics mods, and even then, that's not something I'm interested in.
No disrespect intended, ofc. That's just not my kinda thing.
But anyways, if anyone is willing to give this a swing, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'd take a swing at it myself, but despite the dozens (and I mean *DOZENS*) of times I've tried to work with meshes or even rig anything, I can't make ANY progress.

Just one mesh for both atm, might do one with a slightly roomier chest and wider hips for the female if I feel like it. Pretty sure DaS2 uses one mesh for both male and female for this though too, the armor would compress the breasts anyways and vanilla skyrim females aren't exactly stacked.
BRUH. I fuckin' love you. Please, PLEASE go through with the HDT robe bits! Too many mods just add HDT to breasts and butts (even though it's plate armor... Is your ass and tits made of fuckin antimatter?)! Good luck to you, man!

Anyone? I want to slim down the upper body. I've slightly achieved this using SoS and Slimmer male bodies for SoS, but I haven't found any *GOOD* skeletons, aside from this obscure one. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7029/?Using the high elf option, I pretty much got it how I wanted, but it's very incompatible and even FNIS breaks it.

Really hopeful that this didn't die... I really hate the default ape-like men of Skyrim

I'm looking for something that has more straps along the body- along the arms, the legs (Sandals), hands (Like a simple strap that goes around the palm, back of hand and between the thumb and index finger)?
I've been looking for something like that for a while. Something exposing / light like that, but at the same time just SLIGHTLY more covering; no real "Clothing" to it, just some more belts / straps strewn about the body.
I realize this is probably very simple to do in a modelling program, but I have some serious trouble "Re-importing" things, and as such doubt I'd be able to do it.

Good luck. There's only about 10 people in this whole community who care about applying HDT to clothing, sadly, the rest is body physics. Though I truly do hope you figure this out, as any clothing mods are greatly welcomed.

There's barely any good armor ones. And I mean ones that aren't skimpy armor mods. HDT has been out for well over a year now, and nobody has thought to make Vanilla armor conversions into HDT? Seriously? I get that this is a HUGE focus of the Skyrim modding community but come on. Can't we have a TINY bit of variety?
inb4 "IF U WUNT IT SO MUHC DO IT URSELF LOL", because that's the #1 argument when someone requests something perfectly reasonable and the majority dislikes it.

The meshes and textures are there, so it's a problem on your end.

Anyone know where the Fallout NV Jake Muller armor is? I think it was a part of DragBody's armor but I'm not sure. If it is, anyone got a link to them? Used to have a mediafire with all the armor packs but I lost that link.

Oh. Didn't see it. Sorry! xD Thank you.

Few months ago, I had a jake muller outfit for Fallout: New Vegas. Anyone know where I can find this again? Absolutely loved it and am disappointed I can't find it again.
(Yeah, I know. This is for skyrim mods... but I didn't see a "Where can I find" for fallout and I didn't want to make a topic dedicated to just finding a mod.)

Looking for a better males mod (Sexlab. So sue me). I believe there was one called Sundracon, so if someone could point me in the correct direction of whichever one is dubbed "sundracon" or something (it's used for the Ningheim race installation, and is called Sundracon, hence why I'm saying Sundracon a lot xD).
Any help would be appreciated! ^.^
check the forums (search feature) and google first next time (Didn't mean that in a rude way; it just saves you some time.)

Welcome to the Nexus, home of the dickheaded, butthurt admins. I don't know if maybe some of them are just lifeless losers IRL who feed their self esteem by banning or if they think they're doing the right thing.
This is why I hate the Nexus. It's full of oversensitive whineasses who demand you cater to what they want or else you're banned. (Excuse my rage, I've dealt with the failadmins before and they piss me off.).
Don't worry, some day, LL Will become more popular, since they let you actually express yourself and the mods are pretty awesome.

Saw this on the Better Torches mod. It looks SO Familiar, and I know I had it installed at one point. Was it a TERA Armor? Anyways, can anyone tell me where this is from?
Beware! Large picture! D:Yes that's from the Tera Armor Collection. Called Timerender I believe.

Thank you so much!

I had kinda figured it was from there, just not sure. That and Cox takes FOREVER to download a file, so I just wanted to be sure. Danke <3

Hey, Diego! I wanna start off by saying I REALLY love your work, and appreciate the incredible amounts of work and love ya' put into it. I know you already got a LOT of requests piled onto you, but I got a (hopefully) simple one, since all the files are already there. A person already made a thread about this outfit, but it seemed to just kinda die off. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16436-reqpirate-armor-conversions-from-vindictus/?p=379427 The black pirate armor in the first screenshot is just pure AMAZING. I was hoping you could port it to skyrim- if you scroll down a bit, you'll find that he already did get all the files for it, it just needs porting. Anyways, thanks for takin' the time to read my message! ^-^

I remember seeing a mod like this for Oblivion/Morroawesome (Morrowind). I'm sure it'll be possible, but it'll probably take some time. Keep in mind, something like this would need a brand new skeleton, and brand new animations. It's basically like you're making a completely new entity in Skyrim. Personally, I'd love to see this as an enemy as I absolutely LOVE fantasy like enemies.
Come to think of it, maybe someone could modify the default vanilla human anims, and instead replace the legs with the frostbite spider anims. >.>

I've ALWAYS wanted something like this. It'd take a ridiculous amount of work, but I'd absolutely LOVE it. It may need some variety to keep it from being one gigantic escort quest, however.
