  1.   You're right. I was reading the script wrong. The reqs are A) Personality above or equal to 75 and B ) Hjolfrodi is alive and that's it.
  2. @Kdove5 Personality above 75, player level above 4, Hjolfrodi must be alive and you can't have already activated the shrine and listened to Namira speak about her vanilla quest.   @Whoever was trying to trigger the trapped chests The conditions for getting a trapped chest are that you be A) Trespassing and B )  Not sneaking (I think). And it's random anyway, so I'm not sure how to make it happen reliably. Maybe save outside an owned room, then go in. If none of the containers grab you, reload and go back in. I think it's determined as soon as the cell loads.   I would frankly like to see the whole trapped chest thing made optional in the options spell script or just eliminated entirely. It was a nice idea, but there's too much that can go screwy with it. If the cell owner is dead or doesn't have an AI package to go to that particular room, you're just stuck. If you've turned off enslavement entirely in the options, you might still get a trapped chest and be bound, but not completely enslaved. Again, you're stuck and possibly glitched. Plus, I keep getting it when it's completely out of place. I got it on that Shivering Isles quest where you're getting your quest reward from the one unowned container in an owned room.   There's a problem on line 21 of the main quest script. "Bed" is being used as a local reference variable. "Bed" is already a reference in the game (a dialog topic). I can't see what it's being used for or where, but if it's ever actually used by this or any other script, the game may CTD.   And finally, I'd really love it if it stopped disabling the camera controls.
  3. Bravil Underground v0.96

Well, the problem for me was, I didn't want to do the Pale Pass quest at all. I just wanted to complete the BU quest and get out of there. That's why I just disabled the whole line blocking the other quest. Losing that line doesn't hurt anything.
  4. Bravil Underground v0.96

Is that even possible? I can't remember if there was dialog for the vanilla quest before I started training her, but there certainly wasn't any afterward.   Anyway, here's my fix if anybody wants it. It sets an impossible condition on that one line of dialog so that Tolgan will never say it. Tolgan Bug Fix.7z
  5. Bravil Underground v0.96

No, nothing by Colourwheel. I do have quite a load order though.      Now that I'm looking, I do see a couple of changes to the Lifting the Vale quest being made by the Unofficial Patch.    This is what happens at Stage 5 of the quest (the same stage in the conditions for the line of dialog I was having trouble with). The 2nd line isn't there in Vanilla: TolganRef.EvaluatePackage SetQuestObject Tolgan 0   Other than that, Tolgan and the quest aren't being changed by any other mods.
  6. Bravil Underground v0.96

I had a problem with the quest involving the countess.   The BU quest makes me talk to Tolgan to advance the quest. When I did, his greeting was overridden by dialog for the vanilla quest Lifting the Vale, but it allowed me to continue anyway.   After finishing training the countess, the quest updates and tells me to go to Tolgan again. This time, he refuses to talk to me--he just keeps telling me to go talk to the countess. This is the Lifting the Vale quest interfering. The countess has no dialog for Lifting the Vale, because it's being overridden by the BU quest. The two of them are stuck in dialog conditions in a way that makes it impossible to advance either quest.   I finally had to create and activate a plugin that disables that line of dialog from Tolgan and I was able to finish the quest normally after that. The exact line is "I'm sorry. You must speak to Countess Carvain for any further information." in quest MS12.
  7. R.I.P. Mr. Spock

This was like a kick in the gut
  8. kepler78, sounds like you should get Bravil Underground if you don't have it and disable PSE entirely if you're playing a new game as male. The quests are structured weird and can be a little confusing, but it sounds like what you want.   It has a pretty lengthy set of dependencies (a dozen or so race mods), although I think Fejeena made a version that doesn't need them. You can get it from this site.
  9. If you disabled the base objectID of a respawning NPC, would that stop them respawning? I'm thinking that might be a safe way to capture bandits and other low-level NPCs and sell them off.
  10. Does anyone know what the house at Brindle Home is all about? I see it's part of this mod and looked over the quest script in the CS. It looks like a completed quest but I can't figure out what would trigger it or why I would ever be in that house. I even went there and slept just to see what would happen (nothing at all). Is it just content that was never completed or is there a way to trigger it?   About the Horror of the Ayleids quest...   Also, if it's still being maintained, I had an issue. I had turned all the settings to off to play a male character. I went to steal something at one point and got "Tendrils of magic somethingorother" (Rough Justice quest) and got stripped/gagged, but not actually enslaved. Seems like it's not checking if enslavement is turned off before deciding whether or not to turn a chest into a trap.   Also, I've gotten the "tendrils of magic" thing before while the settings are turned on, but it almost always crashes as soon as the stripping/gagging happens. That's probably something on my end, but it seems pretty consistent.
  11. Bravil Underground v0.96

@ Nightshift,   May as well give up trying to make it vanilla-friendly. There are SI creatures, objects and spells all over this mod and you could rewrite it twice from scratch in the time it would take to track them all down and change them to vanilla.   I had a disc version too that I found for $5 in a discount bin but it lacked all the DLCs. I kept running into mods here and on Nexus that require SI or other DLC so often that I finally said screw it. As much as I hate Valve/Steam, I bought it a 2nd time on Steam (whatever version it is with all the DLC) and I don't regret it. It was worth it for Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, IMO. Having the SI version of the .exe also fixed some odd bugs I had in the original version.
  12. Yeah, I have PSE too. PSE, LST and Bravil Underground.   She cast something green at me and a second later I'm just standing there in wrist irons. I can't remember what my fatigue level was like at the time, but it was a pretty tough fight, so it might have run out and made me vulnerable.
  13. A hilarious thing just happened. I'm doing the Shivering Isles quests and I'm to the part where I fight a copy of myself.   While we're fighting, my clone casts the enslavement spell on me and suddenly I'm just standing there in chains. Then she walks up to me and sets me free. Funniest thing I've ever had happen to me in a video game.
  14. Bravil Underground v0.96

Okay, cool. I thought he was glitched or something.   So what's he doing? Just an addict robbing a courier for free drugs? I tried to attack him once and he just fled faster than I could chase him, so I just reloaded that save.
  15. Bravil Underground v0.96

Is Raji supposed to show up every time you do a Skooma delivery? Every time I start a courier quest, then sleep, there he is. If I haven't done the delivery yet, he takes the package, even though it's not for him. If I have, he just talks to me, then walks off toward Bravil.
