Has the PC stripping of follower option always been there? When was it added!? Is there any follow up to that besides the option to pranking them back after they laugh at PC? Will they become target of comments or touchy?

If a lore has a built in mcguffin-deus ex machina to justify any and everything is that lore worth preserving at all?

Those are not old games that I am talking about...at all. I am talking about SNES/genesis era at the very latest and often before, hell even some PS1 era classics age poorly in some aspects when you really sit down and think about their controls and mechanics. And if you really want games that are "hard" you really need to go back to the early eras, and spoilers, they are not what modern games standard of fun. People often forget gaming didn't start with pretty graphics (or graphics at all sometimes...) or their version of the "good old days" It was very simple things like pong, space invaders, a simple one screen board with repetition and patterns that speed up. One of the oldest and most popular platform were arcade games, they were quite frankly micro-transaction machine build from the ground up. THAT's the origin of gaming, THAT's your "good old days". RPGs and text adventures were different because they trade "actions" for text. That was the way to have resource for story however slim it might be. That was what made rpg unique. Today, the definition of a RPG is vague at best. Years ago I forgot who, but someone in the industry once said RPG will no longer be a unique genre. Instead we will see aspects of it in all games, and I think that is what's happening. RPGs no longer have monopoly on the story aspect of a game and have to shun actions since there are enough resources and manpower to do both (good or not is subjective), and all your leveling system, skill trees, equipment and the likes are obviously featured in other more action orientated games as well. Also the whole FPS-lust has always been there but it has its ups and downs. From Doom to Quake then Unreal and then Half-Life then present day Halo, Battlefield, and CoD. That genre has its up and down time throughout its life cycle also. Farcry and Borderlands are also examples of meshes between different genre.

Go look and play some old...and I mean OLD games. Also try and watch some people go back to play some revered titles that they have never played before. Some of those are serious gigantic shitfest in some form or another, but at the same time there are also things that was ahead of its time. It is very interesting to use that to compare the old in current times and the current latest and greatest.

Is it possible to flag an armor as being naked?
afa replied to shazor's topic in Skyrim Technical Support
It depends on what/how the mod check for naked vs not naked. Usually it is missing of Keyword (ArmorCuirass and ClothingBody as mentioned above), sometimes it checks for other or the missing of other keywords, some times it checks for slot 32 equip or not. -

It works decent enough with 2 to 3 followers from what I have seen. There are occasions however where enemies keep picking on the PC and the same follower but never touch the others even if there are enough enemies present.

HP+ plus and one more materia, nothing else.
-
It is less about a focus on light vs darker theme, but rather an escalation of events and consequences base on actions which this mod has. You can argue there should be an upper or lower limit, but a reasonable amount of contrast is what makes it more interesting.

There's no voice work, only subtitles.

Am I the only one that actually don't like the abs in LB?
-
Depends on how they use it.

I too have similar issues with DA it is especially apparent with Dragonborn DLC. But conceptually there's no other mods that can prevent death, manage bleedout, and blackout events. It is the only mod that can make Defeat, Submit, and SD+ work relatively smoothly to one another.

...is it fair to call the orgin of something where everything else follow cliche

More action games need to have multiplayer coop, and don't limit it, don't create a game mode for it, just make whatever single player portion it has available for coop. Saints Row does it the most straightforward way despite never addressing why is there a second player, but it works amazingly. If a game wants to go down the story path invest in the narrative, the characters, the pacing, and the world even. In terms of stealth in game...well I often wonder if it is a whole we dug ourselves. Stealth games are all about AI routine, rules, and treating it like a puzzle. Eventually the player will see through the seams. Randomness is a dangerous element that could easily cause frustration. Options and reactions to situations walk a fine line between "realistic" and purely a game mechanic. Limitations has to be carefully adjust. Finally there's the weird meta game of having to cater to the player's desire and wishes. Look at how Metal Gear Solid, Hitman Absolution, Payday 2, FarCry 3 and 4, and Ghost Recon Future Soldiers treat stealth and how it is integrated into the core game. You will see good elements and pitfalls in all of them, and I am willing to guess all stealth games have their own fair of issues.

For me it is simple I like animu looking lineage 2 elves, which is undoubtedly not "vanilla" or the way the aedra intended, but fuck that! Arguing what is "real" elves is nearly impossible, we have enough argument about what is animu and what isn't and what is real and what isn't even in the -man/human department already. To gauge how a fictional race is suppose to look with no actual real life counterpart and with art direction that could change from each iteration would be a nightmare. Also how has no one post some "since when is X more beautiful than X" pictures yet!?

Slower Levelling and Skill Learning V1.00 (20150806)
afa replied to Slorm's topic in Downloads - Skyrim Non Adult Mods
Skyrim only levels up with you to a certain extend, and it does so in tier of mobs, and there are also min and max level in selected areas. Don't be deceive by Oblivion's attribute and stats, if you don't know what you are doing, your character will forever be gimp against stronger foes. Gear access caps out at around 35 or so when you can buy ebony grade gear, with daedric and dragon gear being the slight exception between craft and find. There is certainly an appeal to slowing down the leveling process depending on what you are after although Skytweak has a build in experience slider for individual skill tree which might be worth looking into as well. Skills seem weak because NPC and PC physical combat skill scales differently. NPC has a higher multiplier than PC when it comes to one and, two hand, archery, heavy/light armor. That's why they can use weapon untempered weapon/armor. -
You should wait a few years and see if the FF7 remake ever becomes reality...

Press and hold N if you have Arousal installed

The thing is even if someone is willing to put customization into LB and Demonica or whatever is there a place they can have it host without take down? Not nexus and not here for sure...

I thought quick saving and auto saving have some issues in Skyrim? -
Ideas that would be cool to have incorperated into TES6
afa replied to ari777's topic in General Gaming
Definitely voting for RPG, the constant path of heading down the action route is one of my fears for the series. As for the actual game itself. Bring back large multi part cities and towns. Cites open to the open world are nice, but not require. Working within a cell has its merits. More than one follower support, and design the game that way. Just look at how tight a lot of corridors and dungeon rooms are. Easy access to respec for whatever character development system they go with... If they are going with level list design again have the scale go higher. Allow some form of underwater combat. and the pipedream...optimizing -
I think that's deviously enslaved If not it might be Cursed Loot

I feel like resolution is important here...
