  1. Some Fallout perks are kind of meh too... all the +X to skills are straight up skill boosts that are unnecessary. Perks, stats, and skills imo need to be somewhat independent and unique in terms of function. It is somewhat redundant for all of them to contribute to the same thing (strength to hit harder! sword skill to hit harder! sword perk to hit harder!) I feel like the elimination of skill is a push towards that direction although perhaps a bit lazy, but it works as "can't make them all unique enough" so let's just have two of three which might not be the worst idea base on previous titles.   There's also the issue of permanence and building a character into a corner that should be address.
  2. Fooled me, I remember tripping over location marker every other steps in FO3, reminds me of Oblivion here is this long lost shrine...50 feet away from town.
  3. errr...I don't remember FO3 being that big.
  4. Fix spawn points for bears and trolls/frost trolls are still going to spawn. Standard Falmer starts at around level 9. Even level 1 bandits has a 1.5 damage boost, but they are still weak of course. Perma level 1 with critical skills at 100 might be able to tip the scale.
  5. Dump all level up to health, level up Alteration?
  6. Skills alone weren't that powerful in Skyrim, it is the combination of skills and perk and crafting. The problem with SPECIAL is that unless they make some changes to how it works in the past it is fixed pretty much from beginning to end. Bobble heads gave +1, Almost Perfect came later and nullify the whole thing.
  7. FO 3 and NV skills was totally in control by the player since you get to pick what to raise, and Int was critical to get the most out of each level up. Now if all Int offers is extra exp and if level list is in place once again there's really no reason to have to level quickly.   Elimination of skill level would likely push for the return of Rank 1,2,3,4,5 of +X% damage/armor perk that was in Skyrim.
  8. I got those bits and pieces from the video, he mention briefly about how strength affects carry weight, but didn't specify if it is a run, walk, stand still cut off or an actual gradual decline of movement speed. And really need to see that perk tree in details to and how the numbers work out. No exact mentions of ways to improve SPECIAL either.
  9. No I don't think we have anything to do with stagger exactly. Defeat only tracks stamina threshold for the PC as triggers. But I think the proposed idea is to have the trigger happen during staggering of PC or NPCs, so blocks being broken by power attacks, shield bash, giant heavy attacks, shout, paralyze maybe, and the likes.
  10. I don't think I like looting and hacking in real time, I want to see what's something is before picking it up. Having pipboy screen then pause the game seems weird. I can see a lot of "take all" looting in combat then inventory screen right after to see what exactly was picked up. Did he mention carry limit will progressively slow down your character rather than being a cut off?   Really need to take a closer look at the new perk tree and how does it ties to SPECIAL to say how it will pan out, and if there are ways to improve SPECIAL stats.
  11. You can try unchecking their essential status in CK.
  12. "What mod is this?" VI

One of the older version of Dangerous night?
  13. Only one active follower again...fuck...
  14. more off topic stuff
  15. Can Someone Recommend A Good RPG?

2d and romance is kind of hard. With a few notable exception games really didn't get good with story especially with romance in the 2d era. Could be completely off, but To the Moon? Not much of a "game" in the traditional sense, and romance might not be a huge focus here. It is 2d
  16. Can Someone Recommend A Good RPG?

Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 Persona 3 and/or Persona 4 Oh wait, 2d...errr Valkyrie Profile 2 is sort of 2d, but it isn't really turn base...fuck this is actually kind of hard. FF6???
  17. It really isn't that extreme, I don't mind USKP too much. If the day comes that it is needed as hard dependency for Solutions I won't mind putting it in my load order.   Majority of the time it is for record keeping just to be consistent with the information out there more than anything else, I can't list all the minor changes USKP or WAFR makes, so when I cross reference stuff I can't decide if the information out there I find is correct even if it is information about the vanilla game being bugged. I will need to have the changelog of all of them side by side going through 3 lists at once. As for changes I don't particular like, the "bugged" Azura star is handy as is Falmer/Pentius helmet serving as 5th enchant slots. Ancient Knowledge get fixed by the official patch and it is still bugged although having it fix by USKP could potentially make the game more interesting.   WAFR optional orcish weapon fix and dragon vs daedric are something I strongly dislike, and perhaps unfairly sour me on the whole thing. Rant ahead:
  18. On the topic of followers, I manage to get followers to get capture at the same time reliably enough. But occasionally they will become one of the aggressor. Also they get their name changed to "Slave" and it never goes away even after getting free.
  19. I don't use the USKP also. I haven't really run into any non solvable vanilla bug that some people have mention. Granted I am not that deep into the game questwise.   I find the patches make changes to equipment too liberally. Fixes regarding matching sets, fist of steel are nice to make them follow the game's "rules", but some of the changes in the name of "balance" seems a little needless (some I just don't agree with), and it deviates from the information that is out there (wiki and such) I can learn the game's base mechanics then look up what the bugs and exceptions are fairly reliably. But it is more difficult to then remember another layer of changes that a custom mod make.
  20. Don't buy into E3 best of X hype... They are less useful for consumer, but more useful for developers to test if they are on the right track, serve as feed back, and occasional tie breaker for what they are doing.   Editing art asset on xbox and ps4 shouldn't be a huge deal, it really isn't a "new" concept. They already exist. Just look for Soul Calibur and older Dead of Alive "mods" on console. They are dubious in nature so aren't that mainstream.
  21. Other than the legacy of Doom, Quake, and Wolf, Id was (still is I hope?) an engine power house. First person games probably won't be what it is today without them. Then comes Unreal and Source. Bethesda picking up Id was interesting. I of course can't say for certain in terms of technical or financial reasons, but from outside looking in Bethesda's creation engine feels like it is reaching its limits and when you compare it to the likes of Unreal and Source it really doesn't seems like it offers much in terms of popularity, ease of use, and flexibility. Bringing Id under its umbrella could shake things up for them, but of course what is Id at this point in time is difficult to say. Or having access to its library alone might be profitable enough. For what it is worth even Call of Duty still have to pay tribute to Id even just barely.   As for body in FO4, quite frankly I don't think anyone should have high hopes for it. First it will never be a body that will serve the needs of those involve in LL. Nudity is just not something that will come standard. Animation and fidelity will not be up to par with what LL mods need versus what the game itself needs. The low weight and high weight meshes might have been troublesome, but it did offer weight scaling that wasn't really around in previous titles.
  22. Serana was an ok companion in the story, but a nightmare to work with for modding. "True" Fallout "died" when it switch from isometric, when FO3 release. FO:NV is a better playing game in terms of mechanics, but it is not a "main line" FO game. Never got into either one of them. The chaotic nature of the world is just too janky at times. Spent more time on NV since it had more sex mods   Paid mod is as usual...wait and see. CK probably won't release for a while, worthwhile mods will take even longer than that. It'll give much time to wait and see how that plays out. Worse comes to worse, no FO4 for me, which is really no big deal.
  23. I have been using that sneak/crawl animation for a long time now, don't think it has (much) issue? Not the catwoman version tho.
  24. Copy your PC's body mesh and overwritten onto the followers'?
