i kept hearing this before i played tw3

i still dont understand it...can you explain how he has the personality of a stick? i dont want to debate/argue, i just want to read your opinion, friend.

His voice is so cliche, imo.  He reminds me of those macho actors from the 80's, you know, the ones that never get a scratch, never make a mistake, always know exactly want to do, etc.  I hate that kind of thing.  I like believable protagonists.  Think Bruce Willis in Die Hard vs Steven Seagal in... well anything really.   :P

  2. RPG imo, can only be applied very loosely to the Witcher 3.  The game is on rails.  Every time i tried to go anywhere, i kept hitting the invisible wall; "Only the strongest demons may tread here," or some such RP crap.  As long as i stayed on the "rails" i was fine. On top of that, Geralt has all the personality of a stick.

Back on topick:  I keep hitting F5 almost compulsively on this thread.

  3. Meh, this site or another site, i don't really care.  As a general lurker, and someone who tends to get lost when reading the more advanced mod discussions, i still like most of you and am quite happy to follow you guys wherever you go.   Err.. to which ever LL website i mean... yeah.

PS: I'm sure sooner or later someone will figure something out for the animations (if not fore).

This.  As much as i shall miss Fore's awesome work, if there's a gap, someone invariably steps in to fill it.  I admit that it never occurred to me  that Fore wouldn't continue his/her work in FO4.  It's such a modding staple at this point, in my humble opinion.

  5. As cool as bodyslide is, i avoid using it simply because i could never convert armors to the body i made, so it was by and large, useless for me.  I am by no means exaggerating when i say that i spent many many days trying to learn outfit studio so i could do my own conversions instead of waiting and hoping someone else could convert the armors i wanted.  For some reason, that program is completely beyond my grasp.  It's much the same with blender and nifskope.  I'm simply not a modder.

I can write stories, but when i look at code and 3d models and their countless strings of seemingly random numbers and letters, my brain just turns to mush.  I panick, get nauseous and have to just walk away from it.

The triangle isn't doing any morphing, it's applying transforms to the bones (so like bone sliders in RaceMenu and ECE, NOT morph sliders).

That means it works 100% fine with any body or outfit automatically.

BodySlide's morphs are going to be on-top of that.

Does this mean that player made armors will work without having to be converted?  As someone who is completely unable to wrap my head around this type of thing, i'm a HUGE fan of "plug & play" body/armor mods.

  7. I'm curious about how this would/will interact with the game's triangle morphing system.  I like the idea of a more accentuated female form, but i also like the randomness provided by the current system (the plump overseer from vault 81 for example).

Hi, you must be new to modding Bethesda games! I myself am newer to it than many here, having only started with Oblivion, but I assure you that it is pointless to try and make a one size fits all body. Someone with some level of modding ability is not going to like it and make their own, sooner or later. Period. You just can't make everyone happy with one.

To be honest, *I* am not just happy with one, as I regularly switch my textures, UV maps and gloss levels, not to mention tinker occasionally with other bodies, on top of incessantly tinkering with bodyslide to get things juuuuuust so.

I understand you don't like to have to pick from such a varied field. I'm sorry that having a choice bothers you.

For me, it's about conflicts and finding armors for the body i chose to use.  Example:  I like UNPB, but a lot of nifty armors are made for CBBE, and since i cannot do the conversions (despite many days of trying to learn Outfit Studio, Blender, etc.), I must wait and hope that some like-minded modder does the conversion and releases it.

Choice is good, exclusivity (armors available to only one body type)... not so much.  A more noob friendly approach to adjusting armors to specific body types would go a long way to alleviating the "Body Wars", imo.

yea, i thought some here might be interested in the mod : )

the link goes to nexus and i check this forum as well so it will be up to date. I'll post when there is larger updates and such.

glad you like, did you try the Bushy variant? i find it hard to fit more bushy but some can never have enough i guess :P

currently only the default Dirty variant is linked to nexus mod manager, so you'll have to grab a manual install if you want the other 3 variants. i'm curently working on making an installer with multiple options for NNM. hopefully tonight.

also, if there any any suggestions or critique or such, feel free to post them in this thread

    cheers

Ah, that's why... i just did an NMM install.

  10. I tried this to change the appearance of a Settler in one of my settlements.  After reloading the game, this settler is now invisible.  I can interact with her just fine, but can't see her.  I've not tried to change anyone since.  One broken npc is more than enough.

Got a reply from the B.A.E. guys and they say that txt format is the right format, and that the game just refuses to read the loose files.  Seems crazy for Bethesda to use txt files, but it's possible.  In that case it's have to be wrapped back up in the meshes bsa file.

Not a modder, so don't laugh overly much, but instead of having to wrap it back into the meshes bsa, would it be possible to just make it its own bsa with an esp pointing at it, since the game doesn't like loos files.  This is of course, assuming i understood your post correctly...

  12. This looks pretty good.  I'm a bit taken aback at how fast this is being done.  I think Bethesda took a, "just make it work" approach to their body(s),  knowing full well the modding community is just going to replace it anyway.
