are you guys seriously playinf this game on dual core cpu's and dx9.0c compliant pc's? seriously though if you have an old pc and your running into issues with 20 or so npcs in a rooom then i sugguest you step upto a real pc and build the mod right.. Look i'm not digging on anyone here, i am merely stating if you look at the japanese mods and the russian mods they are very well put together , many hours go into them and they arent released to the public untill they are polished and thougholy tested ...not to mention most of them are more or less more of a burden on dual core cpus then what i have seen here ...the animations alone are smooth.

 Its been awhile since i have seen a Grand gotta have mods made here latelyi have seen alot of works in progress wind up in the can because people loose intrest and alot of mods that are talked to death with no fuitition. dont get me wrong there is alot of tallent here. but no one seems to be doing anything with it.

long before i was runnning my current build i had an amd 955 quad core with 4gb of gskill 1600mhz ram running windows 7 home and i could still run 30+ npcs in on cell with nary a hiccup even with my raptor dell hdd's 74gb's each drive

 

If while running at a constant 50 or so fps my highly modded version of Skyrim crashes my machine (Athlon640x4 running @ 3.2Ghz, 8GB ram, Radeon 6870 Toxic, 2TB hard drive), is it because it's too archaic to cope? Because I really doubt that TBH.

 

WOW YOU GUYS ARE GOOD   , ok then let me re-itterate my issues here ...First off when i speak of Archaic im speaking of the peeps that are running and making mods on Dual core machines and complaining of crashing...if you had read that far into my listing you would of caught that.... yes i have nary the identical system you have there and there are no qualms of that  so best advice is read and understand before challenging someone ....

an I5 and an I7 setup

and a half dozen 955 BE and 1090T pc's all of them run SKYRIM flawlessly because i take the time tocheck out the mods before i add them to the dedicated gaming rig, read on and you'll understand my dellema that i am speaking of

secondly i wasn't posting my above inssue with the community as a negative or as an attack rather then to prompt the modders to put some time into the mods and to finnish them before releasing them to the public....do you know how many mods there are where you walk into a room and open a door just for it to sit there and give you the loading screen for countless minutes just so that you hafta alt tab out and go back to the downloaded section and read through 8-10 paragraphs of what all has been done to the mod and at the very end it says something rediculous like... "Ohh and btw the mod isnt done and parts dont work or the mod will crash if you enter the doors at such and such location...... like WTF if its not done don't release it....or how about this ... you take the time to read through the mods .... you find something you like.... you push the all mighty download button, and you go and download some more .... then when your done and you want to try out those great mods you get to your download folder .....move the files over to a temp location .... double check the read me ...and manually put all files where they are supposed to go ...and you get to moving of the ESP... and it says nothing as to what it is...or what mod its spposed to be.... like for instance i have a mod that i installed that in my download folder didnt list it at anything that i remember downloading it was just an ESP, can anyone tell me what mod this is associated with or where i can find a readme on """""bset.esp"""""" hell if i know i have the download, i have the esp but there is no friggen details as to what it does what it needs or where it came from............and i chalk this upto Lazyness on the uploader/creator as all it does is creates confusion, and mars a pc drive especially when it comes to games... anymore its like a race for people to create simple unfinnished mods and drop them into skyrim nexus and on here at loverslab.... neither used to be that way....but here lately there has been a flood of them .... and you cant gripe about me being wrong on any of the above issues cause i know you all have them too and it is an annoyance, as it creates more work then i the uploader took the time and put the info there in the first place ....the least they could do is leave a contact address for any issues found in the general read me ....rather then a few words that being

now as for my other posts on the running and crashing of the games,  I wasnt complaining about this mod,modder,or creator or the team of creators as much as i was making a statement of i hope they atleast dont do the above and cheapen out and release an unfinnished mod without doing beta testing cause when it comes to unistalling and setting up for a new mod i have 27 different hard drives all with different saves and different mods installed...some with no mods, some with a few mods and some with many..... and a new mod is tested with all of them before i upload it to my game drive.... and when you take the time to do this you can understand my complaints alil better

i have a new issue , ever since i have installed this mod ... my screen flashes by flashing i am speaking of light to dark light to dark @ around 400 cycles a minute, i can see everything fine it just flashes repeatedly and for some reason no matter if i load a previous game or a current game my player is always in 3rd person mode and i can not use tfc to get back to first person mode.

i have an extremely fast machine and have no issues with my graphics as i usually get around 120+ to 280+FPS depending on my usage kinda helps to have 3 6gb GPU's in SLI

any ideas?

Hey there Remy i know the feeling and run into that problem once every 6 months or so ... I think i have just about every mod out there  and have the 16tb's to prove it, trouble is every time it happens to me it means i need another hard drive, right now on this machine i have 2x4tb WD hard drives and 4x2TB hard drives and its a real pain on the ole wallet when it comes to needing another one

Remy your fine and your pc is fine and your downloads are fine, the issue you just pointed out is that you downloaded 600kbs then it froze , that's telling you , that you have no more room to store information on your current setup. your hard drives are full .

as for your new hdd that you are awaiting on all you haft a do if you are running windows 7

install the hard drive don't format it

turn your pc on

then

goto your Start Button,

right click on My Computer

select Manage

that will bring up

Computer Management

double click on Storage

double click Disk Management

now if your hard drive doesn't come up in the main center window then you will need to navigate to the left hand column and Right Click Disk Management under storage and select RESCAN DISKS

when your hard drive is found it will list it in the center window and there will be a black bar under it , Right click on the hard drive and select format this hard drive

you can give it a name

Select NTFS in the filesystem label

allocation unit size leave on default

and most importantly untick the PERFORM A QUICK FORMAT

then click OK

then just wait for it to complete and when your done you will have your current hard drive and your new fresh hard drive, when you do get it up and running i would recommend moving your game downloads mainly your WINRAR 7-zip files to your new hard drive a free up your main hard drive

and i don't have any problem with helping out here and there, its a big break from the usual crap i get to deal with like the 2 laptops i have right now both of them with slurpys that were spilled onto the keyboards and now one keyboard doesn't work and the other has keys that post something else other then what they are supposed to display, like the letter "M" that posts "@" symbols instead, this is what i typically get to deal with

well i found one error on your system and I'm pretty sure this is the cause of your issues,

OK your issue isn't a hard ware issue its a software issue:

its not so much your software but rather what your software is reserviving for your hardware

the reason i say this is both of your hard drives are pretty good sized however your PC doesn't scale them individually instead it combines both and then deducts usually somewhere in between 10-12% set aside per hard drive for Trash can properties

the issue with both of your hard drives is That both hard drives are nearly full and when you download anything you are basically taking your download and telling your pc to occupy space reserved by your system programs like set windows trash can program. so it stalls out on you

either delete files and make room or get another hard drive and use that for downloads and move to or install to other drives as needed .

here is the file reports from the Everest program report you sent me....keep in mind each hard drive in windows usually sets aside 10-12% of your hard disk space for system files Trash Can being one of those files and is usually the largest. disk E: which i assume you use for your downloads is also where your dropping saved files to is showing at 4% space available at or around 26% combined for the 2 drives, which system wide equals somewhere around 7.5GB that looks big however take into consideration both of your hard drives equal somewhere in the 380-400gb with about a 15GB reserve for system files, now this translates to about 7.5GB split between the 2 hard drives for trashcan and other system utilities and 10%-12% typically used for system properties would be and should be around 38GB for the 2 drives ...so basically put your hard drives are maxed out and your systems telling you directly no more info can be stored either delete something/ clean your drives out and get rid of stuff you no longer need or get a new hard drive

once that is done open the program called EVEREST "Green Round Icon"

generate a report from the Report Wizard upper left tabbed selection

save report as html. and save to desktop

then just email me the report to jeffreynolds66@msn.com anyone else is free to do this as well just be sure to leave me your inform name so that i can make sure i give you the correct findings back

***also one other note*** when you run this wizard dont use the mouse or keyboard till the report clears as this will give a false memory info feedback

and this wizard takes less then 2 minutes to run through

also dont run music or videos in the background as well

just run the program and go get a cup of coffee by the time your done it will be done

I look at it this way, Consoles are good for keeping the brats occupied while i play a real game with real graphics with no issues or hold backs, and i don't have the worries of getting the dreaded RROD or YROD  or haft a think about using the Towel trick or the hair dryer to get my pc up and running, and i do side with Dark Messiah on the fact that you don't need to upgrade every month in fact most upgrades aren't even necessary including drivers , for those PC users out there that feel they need to grab every friggen update that comes out all i can say is , you evidently didn't build your system cause if you did you would of learned the first time around you don't download squat until it has had time to surpass issues that have been found and make certain the fixes apply to you and your machines needs, not all drivers are meant for all systems. lol kinda reminds me of the Windows Vista experience "where everyone grabbed all the downloads and found their pc ran slower then before they got the downloads 

point is Consoles make it worry free to those that don't build or cant build or cant afford a real gaming system, truth is i think the maturity level isn't there for the majority of the console gamers to get involved in the PC gaming world and am thankful for that  and that's where the consoles will tip the balance in favor over the pc gaming market as there are a hell ova lot of console Child sitters out there as opposed to pc child sitters, but as time progresses they will gain the knowledge necessary to venture into our would of PC Platforms and that is where we will see a growth spurt so to speak. PC's will always have a venue for hard core enthusiasts and will always be the choice for Graphics and reliability,playability,dependability, and especially over Upgrade ability  over cheap thrills  , over heated setups, and non sustaining console games

yeah you can put me in the same boat as ritualclarity, i too often have more then 5-10 pages open and respond where ever as well, I'll try to curb that as well from happening in the future ... but to add a point you have a good understanding of hard drives and their ute's its good to see others have delved into their uses and their faults ... cheers

Well i didn't start out with the idea of becoming this large : but one thing runs into another with me and then into another :

where to start  on an explination of who and why i do this :

business'es now adays dont show the moral eptness to back their products nor do they research or provide a quality part or product, I try to set myself apart for that by going over and above their standards to ensure a done right the first time, not the 2nd 3rd or 4th . and i can afford to do that, yeah its costs me more, but I do it for the customers not my pocket

on average i go through about 5 hard drives inabout 2 months time...that sounds high but keep in mind  i run a Hard drive for all of my games meaning one hard drive is slated for one game and nothing else, this isnt an option for many people especially when they have more then 6 games on their pc, I however have around 200 games and 7 pc's with NAS servers just for the games themselves in 4 4U cases devoted to my hard drives, so your looking at or about 260 hard drives total. so 5 a month isnt a big deal for me ... there are a couple things you can do to avoid your issues in the future... if you are like me whether you have 1 pc or many you can save your software and mods and everything you contain on your hard drives with a simple program called Icronis True Image....basically put you install games, your O/S your updates, your Drivers your pictures music Etc...etc...etc.. you get the picture, and when your satisfied with it then you install TRUE IMAGE from Icronis... now you know as well as i do , it can take 4-9 hours to set a pc up plain and simple...with this utility it takes about 2 hours tops

how? simple after you install Icronis you make basically an .ISO of your pc and when something like this happens you install a new Hard drive and format it, and then load it up with the .ISO you made from Icronis and your back in business

another thing and i'm sure i'm gonna get hit with a bunch of flak for saying this ....but Hard drive MFG's are a big thing to me i will take durability over speed any day if i can get the same speed as an SSD out of a Platter disk all the better,  now i cant get the same speed today as an SSD but SSD's have a fault that is slowly being fixed... they have great speed, and transfer both write and read and are miles ahead of platter type hard drives...but they lack durability, they are only rated for a certain ammount of writes before they start to loose information, and dont think you can get by with Defragmenting them, they are a different architecture and they dont respond well to defragmenting...they in this case become Scatter brained

For durability and speed for say an Opperating System hard with the speed of an SSD with the relyability of a platter drive i would look into a PCIE REVO HYBRID DRIVE just google it to see what i mean dont forget the "HYBRID"

they are spendy but ohh so worth it , for your data prone and high usage hard drives for say games i would look into the Western Digital Veloceraptor Hard drives either in a JBOD ={just a bunch of disks} setup or as a Raid 5 raid 10 setup

for movies and music especially if you are ripping them or just moving files alot look into the Executive/Enterprize series or BLACK Labels from western digital, for pictures and general files do the blue, Stay away for the most part on the Greens as they are the new thing as are the Red labels from Western digital products, they are set up for like those Throw away pc's that no one can work on because there are no user serviceable parts in them ...ohh what were they called again....hmmm ohh thats right Lap tops, PDA's, netbooks, tablets.....biggest waste of money IMO, they overheat, are subject to many of the worst drivers ever made partially because of every component in them are custom made, are supceptable to everything from coffee to falls from heights parts availability, and a big one they overheat way too easily and are a pain in the ass to make regular cleaning and service checks.....

i recommend Western digital true all my dead hard drives are western digital hard drives ... but out of 260 or so Hard drive spanning back to 2001 of those that i go through are only the GREEN LABEL hard drives they others are excellent and they come with Western Digital DATA LIFEGUARD

try checking your hard drive for errors ... most people with this issue are on the virge of loosing their hard drive to corrupted data paths or blocks within their hard drive that are loosing their writting data transfer surfaces,  there are many reason for this to happen, sometimes its from exstended or over used hard drives that are working constantly for both gaming and O/S functions, other times it may be from excessife file transferring and storage usage, old age , or the new thing that has been going around here lately ... that would be the "No i purchased this hard drive new a few weeks to a few months ago ... trouble with that saying is early last year Thailand hard drive mfg companies "Samsung/Westerndigital,Mitsumi,HP,white label,Toshiba, and a few others were flooded out for nearly 8 months and the hard drives they had in stock were nuthing more then expensive paperweights, but a good 70% of those flooded HDDs were sold to US and European companys for recycling yet around 50% of those hard drives came up as unnaccounted for during the recycling. and there was a big stink about that in almost all the papers here in the USA ... they were showwing up at retail stores as "NEW" hard drives or sold on Ebay

Heh. At the end of the day impatient people and trolls don't actually do anything, unless you let them. If they get under the skin its because the bait was taken. And even then, the impatient ones are just enthusiastic about a project, which should be flatering. Words on a web forum can be happily ignored, completely, with no real world consequences. Especially when there are generally five supportive posts to every oen complaint/whiner.

However, their greatest service is offering a 'get out (of project with rep intact) free' card.

I'm not saying that this is all that happens, far from it as there are some obnoxious dicks out there, but i'm certain this DOES happen. Often. Its human nature to blame others, especially faceless others, than admit percieved failure. And there are dickish modders out there too. Providing a mod for free doesn't make someone immune to being a bell end. Some get trolled for their own attitude, as opposed to anything to do with the mods.

In this case, I think its less the guy was complaining, as noting what I have. Sure, people may want to let the DLC settle and such. None the less - everyone who has tried to mod sex in has done it in a 'my way' manner, and many have fallen through. Thats just fact. What is rather sad, especially on this forum where we are united under the banner of adult mods, is that we (royal 'we' that is) haven't united to even formt he groundwork.

Sexout is a perfect example. The framework was built for the community to work with, not to power any one massive ro overly ornate mod, and then the community banded together and churned plugin after plugin out. Ego, whiny fans, and so forth is really besides the point.

I can sympathize with both parties both the builders/moders/and script writers and that of the daily consumers/down loaders and idea gathering and brain stormers I am also a long time lover of the Oblivion Platform and Loverslab, and not to hijack this thread , and if what i say is taken or spoken in the wrong place please feel free to move where you think it may need to be moved to,...with that said here is my inputs on this topic

I have probably 200-400GB's of the mods from here,Elrichs, and countless other sites, i commonly see posts in the downloads section that start out with an idea and brain straining input gathered that reaches sometimes into the triple digits in page counts, however i see the same issue here with the Skyrim mods that was a common (IMO) with that of Oblivion mods... that is everyone here do a fantastic job of Making these mods and believe me i say this with a heavy heart, every modder here does a Fantastic job of providing a description on the website but they come up short in the actual program packaging and distribution ... there are quite a few of us that have this Great game here in my area that goto work download the mods transfer them to a disk take them home and install them only to find out that they have a program with a series of numbers or hodgepodge of letters and numbers with no name let alone what mod they actually are and no description of what they do or where they go or how to install them, today alone i have downloaded 110GB's for Skyrim mods and have been going through them and see it is no different with Skyrim then that of Oblivion, I normally wouldn't have an issue with this But i just got Skyrim yesterday and wanted to beautify it and try out some of these amazing mods, however i see i have another couple of weeks of researching each mod now to make certain i have everything for them before i install them just so i don't have a game full of Bloat ware, mismatched files, bad or missing files, etc...etc...etc... all i am saying is Modders please help us the users out alil copy your text that your typing into Loverslab website under mod description and include that with the Mod, it would go along way to helping keep the grief down to a minimum, ....now to add why i am asking this , its because Myself I currently have my home up for sale, i disconnected my internet 2 years ago in preps for getting my house ready for sale so i have been going to work and downloading and transferring to a hdd and taking them home and reinstalling them you can imaging the headache when it comes to driving all the way back to work just to download a mod or an installation file, as it is now i am now copying all the pages here in the downloads section before i download a mod, which really sucks the life outta downloading mods.....

onto other news.... for those Mod makers out there and the Admin who run this site, I am a PC tech and builder and am in the process of "when my house sells" opening up a pc store, in the process of that information i have some stock left over, and to help those that are in need i can donate or add to your systems to help benefit your building or rather in my own words, keep you Making these great mods for us consumers, i know this is a job that gets many thanks but for your hard work and many countless hours of making your mods your pc equipment takes the brute of it and when a GPU crashes or a CPU is over volt-aged and dies in your system its you that suffers at our expense so to speak, minus that of the actual cost of your components , so what i am offering you is either an upgrade to your video card/cards, memory or motherboards, or ...even better if you need a New system I can do that too at My cost and not at Stores cost or one of those high end POS dell gaming overheating egg-cookers that they sell, that sucker you into buying a proprietary system ...
