There are sites that accept money in exchange for positive amazon reviews and some of them are already being sued by amazon but the damage is already done for years now.   Newegg reviews are slightly more accurate because people complaining there are real people and they complain more often on newegg than other places.

Windows vista or higher does automatic defragging when the computer is idle. You are not supposed to defrag an SSD drive I think even windows 7 or higher automatically turns off defragging for SSD drives. The real complex problems show up when you try to do RAID or other fancy storage options. Anyone that runs a server for a website can tell you some horror stories about business type storage options.   I have a crucial SSD for one of my computers and a samsung for the other. The system with the crucial drive boots faster than the system with the samsung drive. I used to have that crucial drive in that other system before I bought the samsung. The other system booted faster with the crucial too and if I had known the samsung was gonna be a little slower I would have just bought another crucial drive instead. Samsung does some annoying things with firmware for new SSD drives that takes what seems like forever to finally solve. Before I bought that samsung I was starting to think my crucial drive would be a problem later on but not now. Intel had some firmware fiasco some years ago too and pissed off a lot of people but they solved the problem so far. The only drives you should really stay away from is OCZ drives. They were bought out by toshiba? I think but who knows what they will do now. Just don't buy any of their pre bought out drives especially their pci-e drives, those things are cheap for a reason.

I have been in retail positions here and there for many years now as well as selling stuff on ebay from used markets and I can tell you that I saw a lot of seagate hard drives go bad. The worst one was that skinny drive they used to make way back in 2002 it would sound bad even brand new and several stores I worked at had a lot of returns for that drive. Through the years I have seen many individual situations where a seagate drive was bad or going bad. I think the company took a turn for the worse after they bought maxtor corporation which had just bought quantum corporation before being bought themselves. One time seagate had a problem with a virus infecting a lot of their new stock going out to customers. They had to do a lot of damage control for that one. I remember seeing it when it first started in early 2000's and the way some store employees would go on and on about "oh it was a bad batch" because they didn't want to lose money on products they would be stuck with if people stopped buying them. Same thing happened when SATA came out there were a bunch of store owners complaining it wasn't any faster than IDE and there was no difference because they knew people would stop buying IDE and the store owner would be stuck with a bunch of expensive paper weights nobody wanted.   Western digital I would see so few of them bad and the ol circuit board trick worked for a while until the firmware was put on the platters instead of a chip on the circuit board. Sometimes I think these companies leave dumb stuff in their products to produce business for other companies like for example data recovery companies... who would pay $2000 for data recovery among retail users? business sure but individual consumers? nope not gonna happen. But if the pressure is great enough some people will pay! Recovery companies know all about how to get your data back because some of their equipment is made by the hard drive manufacturers while some other stuff is proprietary like a certain pci card can't remember the name atm but it cost $3500 minimum and you have to order more than one just to get it.   I like the idea mentioned earlier sort of, buy an external drive and do regular backups. But what if you have a bunch of stuff that you rarely access? archival situation is different and at some point that data is gonna have to be archived some other way. The other medium for archival stuff is optical like blurayXL which has 128gb per disc capacity but just one disc cost $99 or more. Would take almost ten of those to do archival backup of a 1TB drive and that is pretty much $1000 which is totally unacceptable. I guess you could buy a backup drive once every two years and just keep doing that. Still expensive and time consuming, it makes me think the companies kinda like it that way. Of course there is difficulty in making high capacity hard drives and the higher the capacity the higher the failure rate..

Nope, no it doesn't make it right. The difference between right and wrong vary between the govt and the people where the govt gets it wrong most of the time yet they have the ability to make their understandings right or else.   We should not have to depend on obscure places to have freedom of speech among other things though.

You guys missed part of my post, in some parts of the world you can do anything and nothing happens. Some of those places have some bandwidth and most don't but still there are places to go where anything goes. That italian guy I mentioned, he is not in jail and never has been. His software has been used to make exact copies of everything and anything since the playstation came out and is still in business. If the m@fi@@ could reach him they dam sure would have long before now! There was some dvd copying software on the market years ago and on retail shelves, it didn't last two months before the company was shut down and their software was removed from stores and they had to pay a huge fine. But if they had been in one of those other places and sold their software on the internet they would still be around.   Sure now it is easy to say well there are ethics involved and so on but later when/if "things" like we have here at this site are ruled offensive or discrimination or hate speech, then what? then this place is on the side of the argument I am discussing. It is sad to think that server hosting in russia has better protection from "laws" than the states or UK etc.   Most of us here probably know some of these "sites" I am talking about and have been to them recently.

SSD drives are getting cheaper but the size limit for them is still there. I don't think anyone would touch a 1TB SSD maybe if it was some hugely expensive enterprise gear but the price would deter that purchase. Would be nice to get a 1TB SSD drive for $160? any higher than that and I start thinking about a regular drive instead.   One of these days the nano tech stuff is really gonna take off and data storage will be a problem of the past.

Oh I know about that sort of thing I have done the same myself but I have seen enough bad hard drives delivered in the past here and there to warrant staying away from the ace ventura delivery company as one reviewer put it over there lol.   Sometimes a local store will have a similar or even better price than newegg like microcenter for example and rarely fry's electronics.

It would be better to buy it from a local store though. Expecting something like a hard drive to arrive in one piece after oops played football with it will be like winning the lotterey lol. When something is shipped to a local store it comes on a large pallet and does not take the same level or damage as individual items going through any of the infamous delivery services. I have seen oops employees play basketball with packages even big giant crt old skool tv sets before. Imagine what they do with a hard drive?

Prices have gone up since last year and kinda stayed that way I noticed. There is no flood in thailand to blame this time so I don't know where the companies are getting these prices from.

For big drives don't buy anything over 1TB in size right now. Many companies have higher failure rates with 2TB than with 1TB.   Get a WD blue or black series stay away from their green series unless you like watching all your data die!   Seagate sucks they last less than a year, hitachi is owned by WD now but still doing their own thing sort of. I have a toshiba 1TB laptop drive that lasted for about 2 years. I just got one of the new toshiba external laptop sized drives USB 3.0 1TB so far so good for almost 6 months now.     EDIT   Seagate loves to leave that firmware chip full error in their products, basically there is a log file storage area on the drive and it never clears to make room for new logs. So when the space runs out your drive stops working. It won't show in bios even just "poof" gone!   There is a market A MARKET!!!! for a special home made cable to read the older seagate drives with a program in windows to clear the log file space and get the drive working again. The new seagate drives are not compatible with this cable so off to the $2000 data recovery company when it fills up.

Better to save your money right now, me1 crashes a LOT and a lot more near the end. You can get oblivion game of the year edition and not put up with steam if you don't want to.   It really is just better to save your money right now though. Financials are gonna be really bad later on this year so save now while you can.

I just don't read comics anymore or care about characters and their movies anymore. All the political crap shoved into comics is unacceptable and only shows just how dumb things are getting in society. Two people who were mad at each other used to be able to fight it out in public and be done with it but now we have all these crazy people killing each other over small arguments and people caught fighting are charged with terroristic threats and other made up shit.   What is the point of caring about comics and characters anymore? that stuff is incredibly boring and the market is over saturated with spiderman and batman crap anyway. When there is something mainstream and very popular, it is quickly defiled by politics and any resistance is labeled as hate speech.

One thing I don't understand about forums like these and others, why bother with legal stuff? Host the site in antigua and forget about if something is legal or not? The guy that made clonecd program remember that and clonedvd? he is an italian guy who moved his company there and he eventually retired there. His software is STILL available and he cannot be touched by m@fi@@ written laws! there are other places too for hosting a site and not get in any trouble from it but that place is well known maybe has better internet than other places.   All the forums for games including this one have policies where it is forbidden to post "warez" links but there is no need for that kind of internet police action when you can still host a site in a place where it doesn't matter anymore. I am not advocating "warez" I am just pointing something out here. Places like that you don't have to worry about some game rip content either just post the content and use it which is probably what happens, we only see the side of this from people complaining to places where they can complain and get their content taken down but in other places in the world nobody even gives this stuff a first thought or a second.   I guess for most people running sites like this, the issue is more of personal ethics?

I actually had this dream last night that I was sitting in the lobby of a police station somewhere and judge judy was sitting next to me with a BIG stack of paper documents all related to paid modding arguments! She asked me to read through them and then go fetch one paper she left in another room which she then asked me to help her fill out. Something to do with a relative of her trying to get paid for modding. As I thumbed through the papers I could see images of waifus wearing tacky clothing printed out in black and white with some pages looking like printouts of web pages. After we talked for a while about paid modding she asked me to fix her busted laptop.

LL body looks like it is there and a body vs those skinny fake small bodies that look impossible. Also I think there might be slightly less clipping with bigger bodies during sex than with those skinny sizes.

Yes at that part in the quest you have to encounter yourself in a sexual way.That quest doesn't really have an ending yet though.

I remember when I first started playing skyrim, the most annoying thing when first trying mods was all the different mod handlers out there. Organizer, loot something, blah blah nobody wants to sit there trying to figure out a bunch of stuff like that. Then try getting some xbone user to use a pc and figure that out too? priceless lol.   There needs to be ONE mod organizer type thing and not nexus mod manager. This one thing needs to automatically do some things that tes5edit does too for handling leveled lists between mods. So the new mod player installs the unofficial patches, skeletons and bodies of their choice and then things like FNIS and skse etc then installs the ONE mod organizer thing then dumps in mods and run that ONE thing one time and it auto does everything and says OK play game. The new mods player then clicks away the message then runs the game and that is it the whole thing should be that dam simple.   Playing mods in skyrim right now is nowhere near that simple! the average majority probably don't even bother with mods or skyrim they just go back to their console and call of dookietime and don't care. Most people probably just play sports games and call of dookietime anyway and even then only when company is over for a visit or online with their friends after work/on weekends etc.

Ok looking at fejeena slave tattoos mod I found somewhere around here can't remember atm there are some nice separate meshes for butt cheek tattoos so I can put the slave mark on females butts and some back meshes too for other stuff I want to come up with but I am having trouble finding tattoo meshes for males. Where are there similar if any meshes for male tattoos? they can be upper arms tattoo meshes too it doesn't have to be the butt area or back area too.

This is exactly the kind of shit that I can't stand, the fake legal system of the US is so full of holes and exploits! There has to be a label on products these days that says do not ingest or do not drink may cause death or injury for products like clothes washing detergent or similar and so on. DURRRR!!! people know not to drink it but what the label is for, is to prevent the company that made the detergent from being sued by crazy people that thought hey, if I drink this stuff and it doesn't kill me I can sue the company for not warning me it could do that!     I heard a story recently about a guy in peru that was trying to kill himself so he went to the local store and bought some rat poison. He planned to go back home and eat the rat poison then die but when he ate the rat poison it didn't kill him just made him sick and throw up for a while. He figured the store owner had ripped him off by selling him fake poison or watered down stuff etc so he went back to the store and demanded his money back while telling the store owner he knew the poison was a rip off because it didn't kill him!     People are crazy and people are greedy, we can't have nice things because some people still don't do the right thing. I don't expect game companies to ever do the right thing since they have a bad track record. I think in the near future games will be worse and worse not the same or better. Looking back over the last decade we can see a pattern of transition away from traditional sales and marketing towards some kind of get something for nothing mentality.   Every time some major game comes out it has less and less of the things the past game had. Levels are smaller and content is less in supply and less complex. Then there is more and more DLC made for it in a short time which cost a lot and has the missing content which should have been in the game. This is not rocket science this is obvious stuff, the industry is turning into crap and dying. Driven by greed or put in a desperate situation by the worsening economy or maybe both. Either way we won't see the likes of good games again only more stale and buggy shit with less content and more restrictions, increased requirements for constant online connections and more legal bullshit tacked on to cover their asses.   I hate thinking about all this shit it keeps me from modding and from playing any games no matter who made them, since this shit happened I can't even turn on my gaming rig most of the time I just get this wave of disappointment over me that won't go away then I get mad about it for a while. I don't understand why these companies have to be such ass holes about every DAM thing they do but I don't expect them to stop being ass holes any time soon if ever. Maybe it takes a crash of the industry to shake up board rooms like kendo 2 said earlier. You can always use gerra6 clothing converter posted on LL it can convert smaller sizes to larger sizes well but going from larger to smaller is difficult depending on the item you are converting.
