  1. So did you add any mods with animations before that error? Because it just seems to be a warning to run the executable again. Also, have you gone to where FNIS is and right click the executable then "run as administrator" just once? You probably should.

  2. I am not using BodySlide.

Noob question: Is there a list of the body types HDT works with? I can't seem to find any "know-to-work" bodies.

I figured your body mesh had to be the problem judging from the few mods you've got installed. That was the only missing piece of the puzzle honestly.

As for BodySlide, you can adjust all the body morphs in RaceMenu now, too, and that's a cool thing in itself.

  3. Yes, that's the one I am using, but installed from Nexus (as if it makes a difference.)

I'm just using the main CBBE Curvy bodies - which has worked before - no other "flavor."

I tried the Slim body from the CBBE installer, but that also didn't work. I hadn't tried the one that tries to keep true to the Vanilla body type.

Doesn't matter where the skelly came from, just that you have the newest one.

I can't tell if that's actually a TBBP/HDT body there. It doesn't readily appear to be. Try throwing in a known body mesh that works and see what happens. Are you using BodySlide?

  4. it would be too complicated to explain to you here why I can not do it (speak English) :P

    divided Germany before 1989

    BRD = knowledge of english

    DDR = knowledge of Russian

Yeah, I'm 45 years old so I am quite aware of the East/West split. So I guess that explains it. You're old, too.

And for what it's worth, I checked the nif files in the Chain Bikini mod and BOTH the UNPB and CBBE versions appear to have a CBBE body them.

  5. OK, so I just unzipped the CBBE version as well and that is also using the CBBE name for the nif files. So I guess the UNPB version is only called that because he didn't rename the folders?

I am off to start a conversion and see how it turns out.

for me this is an impossible thing, because my English language skills equal ZERO be. ;)

I find that almost shocking, winny. Most of the Germans I know speak English quite well. My grandmother only spoke German when she was angry and didn't want people to hear her cursing them out.

I am going to download it I guess. He used to have a UNP/UNPB set full of chain bikinis, gloves, stockings, shoes, jewelry and collars. I wish I could find that mod again. I am going to have to take this one and fit it to the UNP HDT-PE body I suppose.

He also wants a UNPB conversion make.

Gerra6's clothing converter and mesh rigger makes these kinds of conversions really easy. So easy that almost anybody can do it. You can get the program in the "modders resources" section here in the Lab.

I just downloaded and unzipped the UNPB version and it lists the meshes as CBBE. So I am now downloading the CBBE version to check and see if those are UNPB. Maybe they're just named wrong.

  8. Like others said, only update if you have to. And not only with SexLab, but with ANY mods. Stuff often breaks when you update so once you have a stable, functioning game keep it.

Schlongs of Skyrim (here in the Lab) is probably your best bet for a male body replacer. But there is also SAM to use and it works OK. SAM does allow for more options in building a male character, though, but it comes at a heavier script price.

Stay away from heavily scripted mods. Too many of them running all together will bork your game saves, sometimes in just tens of hours of gameplay.

If you're TOTALLY new to modding your game then do yourself a HUGE favor and watch some tutorials (search for "Gopher" on YouTube) and read everything you can (especially instructions and requirements on the mods' download pages).

How will you be installing these mods? Manually? Using a mod manager (like Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organizer)? I would suggest Mod Organizer for the power and functionality it provides, but it has a learning curve. One that a computer savvy individual can pick up on quickly, though. NMM is a much simpler manager to use, but it has a lot more limitations compared to MO.

As for forced updates, that can be turned off as well. Damned near everything anyone's complained about can be turned off actually.

You're not wrong but you're also not right. There are settings which you can optically turn off. But there are still parts of Windows 10 which will still operate normally as if they have never been turned off, even if the settings slider says "off". And that's the biggest fucking stupidest thing Microsoft evr did. Why should I want to give my privacy away to Microsoft? Why should I let them do on my device what they want? I bought my fucking device and paid for it. I bought a fucking license to use it, so why should I give away the right to install what I want away to Microsoft so they can fucking install what they want, grasp everything about me and how I use it and upload it to their server? They have no fucking right to do that. And that's why I continue to use Windows 7, even though I could upgrade to Windows 10. I hope the EU Commission will fuck their fucking ass anytime soon.

So what do you think they're taking or doing exactly?

  10. There are the Ran's head meshes. And there is the CITRUS head, which I really like since it works so well with RaceMenu and its sculpt feature. I you want NO jags or points on your head/face then CITRUS is the way to go (but presests for Ran's or vanilla meshes might not turn out that well with CITRUS so you'll have to "tune" them up a bit).

  11. Never ever never ever delete the contents of the overwrite folder. NEVER. That could very well be your problem. That's where all the animation files from FNIS go, tri files for heads and bodies from RaceMenu or ECE, and lots of other important stuff goes.

So re-run FNIS, BodySlide and any other things you need to run. Let the stuff go into the overwrites folder at the bottom of the left pane. When you're done generating everything right click the overwrites folder and choose "make a mod", name it something relevant to the profile's name, then keep it activated at the bottom of that profile's left pane. Repeat for each profile you have.

If you ever run FNIS or other tools again, and new stuff goes into overwrites, simply open overwrites and then drag/drop the new stuff into the overwrites pseudomod you created earlier.

  12. Just delete the old executable path altogether and add the new one in its place. Just to make sure.

I don't know what else to think about the issues you're having. I've never had an issue getting MO to work with anything I've thrown at it. The worst case is having to repack the mods into a proper folder structure, but that only takes a couple minutes.

  13. I'll definitely be getting more sorted once I have a strong grasp on how to navigate and use MO; as it stands now, I just wanna make sure different stuff works at the same time (like... MiasLair would be one chunk of stuff, while Devious Devices and Enslaved and whatnot would be another) but, all of that kinda matters little to me without the physics, and it really shouldn't. Another bugging issue is that, when I'm zoomed in on my character in 3rd person mode, I see what looks like very thin lines running through the body, which I've just assumed is some bit of the skeleton trying to work.

I moved Realistic Ragdolls above XPMSE 3 and it got sorted in the MCM menu, thank you.

Are they like gold colored lines? If so, look for no "No More Bronze Shine" on Nexus and put it below your skin texture in MO's left pane. Fixed.
