  1. I can understand the frustration that is Skyrim' date=' But I also realize why it was done the way it was. "Dumbing" things down to appeal to a larger audience aka the kids that play "CoD MW3". doesn't matter that the game is rated M, and pretty much the same thing can be said for a certain mod hosting site. Age restrictions out the window, plain to see from the influx of "those" types of comments. And when has Bethesda not relied on the ES community to patch up there screw ups and just plain lack of spending energy on the job at hand. I would say there is more talent on this little website then is employed by Bethesda.

Here you go Bethesda's new audience .

Lol look at all the comments, those are brainwashed sheeps that couldnt tell sugar from salt apart..let alone an rpg from an action game.

  2. the biggest problem i have skyrim and the problem i still have with it is that the quests are built in a way you don't have to pay attention to them at all' date=' Just follow the marker. I would turn them off but then the descriptions are too vague because the rely on the marker.

same goes for some of the solutions of said quests, just kill em. but in some cases this could be because "the player is the hero" mentality. To me this mentality seems to breed simple solutions when games follow it. Dawnguard is a good example of this, no matter which side you join still kill the same end bosses; i wish there was an option to just tell Serana to finish the elf bastard instead of turning it into a pointless fight she was in the perfect position to toss him off the castle (the quest maker will show me where his corpse is) or convince him to kill himself i have always enjoyed when a game gives you that option. Though skyrim is not devoid of some branching decisions in the end though they don't seem to matter as much as you would have hoped, or are just telling a roadside thief to fuck off because you don't feel like killing him.

Exactly, the quests/journal is a fine example which way they taking their games...action.

The journal is just there so you can look up how many quests you have, wich adds to an illusion that you are loaded with stuff to do.

But if you want more information on the quests, or like to read(im not talking about books, thrown arround in the world but quests), you end up with nothing.

I can almost see Howard saying "Hey lets not pack the journal with too much info so they can get right into the action!".

Problem is, even the action part sucks...so you end up with fetch/kill quests and loads of dungeons that might be nicely designed, but carry no meaning whatsoever, because the loot consists basically only from a few armor and weapon sets that are repeating themselfs in every damn dungeon.

The loot just isnt rewarding, so the only reason why you run arround, is exploration and once you seen it all you slowly loose interest.

There are also no unique bosses, just a few repeating enemies, wich means if you cleared a few dungeons, you basically seen it all.

Bah...i can go on and on...skyrim is just a good hiking simulator.

  3. Well I think you guys are being too harsh.

OK my thoughts. Alot of negativity will come out but doesn't change that I think this is a good game.

The main story line is total a railroad... True' date=' a total embarrassment, this sadly is just par for the course for most games though. Mass Effect 3 /cough

The civil war didn't feel like a war. I was expecting to randomly run into Stormcloak vs Imperial fighting.

Now saying that, I liked how both sides of the civil war were shades of grey. I am pretty sure no one can say the Stormcloaks were the good guys, and the Imperials wanted to take my head for no good reason so they aren't good either. I thought that was a step in the right direction.

Now saying that, most of the quests in Skyrim didn't do much for me. The quests were to one dimensional. I was hoping for objectives and there would be many ways to do it. Seduce the commander of the prison, sneak in and steal the keys, bribe the guards, or what Skyrim did like 100% go in and kill them all.

Now while the quests were lacking, what I liked were the dungeons. I felt each major dungeon had its own little story and that made them all interesting. I went into dungeons just to explore, and that is a total reversal from Oblivion.

OK the magic system was hit and miss. The loss of custom spells is a boon and a curse. Custom spells were fucking over powered. I said it... I am glad they are gone because you could never balance the game with them. Now the problem is that without custom spells, there is not enough spells to have proper versatility. So to do more damage you end up doing AEing spells and then have to reload a thousand times because you accidentally killed your companion. Poor design to have AE spells do so much that you would choose to use them over single target close range.

Now, magic scaling was still rough early on but it was better than in the past. You can play as a mage who uses nothing but magic, but it takes some effort. I hope next the early rough patches where you have almost no mana is boosted a little.

I was also disappointed with 1 minute buff spells, and talents to make it eventually 3 minutes without armor... Efff that, Just make it a toggle that uses a percentage of your mana, see Dragon Age on how to handle buffs. By doing this it removes the tedious repetition of recasting buff spells every minute.

Hmmm what also disappointed me was the lack of character interaction.

You add in marriage (OMG good idea) then have no NPCs that you can really bond with since there is a lack of dialogue(poor execution). Serena actually is the exception, she is AMAZING and proof that Behesda can do it, but they do not let you merry her... even though you flirt about it both ways(epic fail).

IMO they should have made marriage only with companions, and every companion only joins you after doing a lengthy quest, like Serena! Then add random actions and dialogue like you did in hearthfre with the kids. Your wife should try to get you to engage in activities with you, like the kids playing tag. She wants to go out to an inn and eat out tonight.

Food, water, and sleep should be required to survive. FalloutNV had a survival mode that did exactly that, no excuse why skyrim didn't. It is COLD in the snow, you will die slowly if you stay out there to long without heat. Yet I could run around naked for days and be fine... Lazyness.

How about proper Yielding? Enamies yield and I want to spare them from time to time. Ohhh wait, I cant /sigh.

OK the Interface is a huge improvement. While there were sorting issues, as a whole the interface was easy and quick to manage. Try FalloutNV and you can see the difference, takes 15 seconds to get to the map in NV while in Skyrim I just hit the M key and it loads up in 1.

Equipment durability was a bore and I am glad it is gone.

Lack of verity of equipment was an issue, mods solved it but a game shouldn't be dependent on mods. Dragon bone armor was the ultimate gear and looked terrible... I would were other gear to look better.

I actually like the new perk system. It feels organic since you level up what you use. But then you get to specialize in things so you are not exactly the same as others.

Game stability for a Bethesda game was AMAZING. Not perfect and a few patches made it worse but over all a very stable game. My game only crashes because of my computer hardware. I tell it to run higher quality than my machine can really handle and it crashes occasionally.

My biggest criticism is that the end is anti climatic. You just saved the world and the game doesn't end you never get to be treated like the hero you are. It should have just ended after you saved the world. You can then give an option to continue playing, but it was designed to end here, so the lack of fan fare doesn't matter.

Overall I think it is a good game. When you compare it to other games then you realize that while there are a ton of flaws it still is better than the rest of garbage out there.

    [/quote']

I agree with the stability, alot better then it was in oblivion.

But...nothing in this game is finished...i wouldnt even say finished, they simply didnt cared to make a balanced system, be it magic or combat.

No its not even a system, you can see that especially in destruction magic that gets weaker and weaker at higher lvls (i know there is mod for it but im talking about vanilla now), or other schools getting pretty much useless.

They simply thrown some uninteresting spells in so there is some magic to be had and thats it.

Same with melee combat, clunky and uninteresting...you would think for such a big game as skyrim, they pack it with loads of interesting combat perks and choices...but all you get is a bunch of stat changes, with a few rare exceptions.

You wanna be an assassin, using special abilities?

Yeah get ready to use the same backstab move from 1 to 80 lvl...absolutely no depth...nothing.

These guys have no aesthetic feeling, or passion, thats why all of their games feel so generic.

I said it before and i say it again, bethesda is good in building large worlds, but thats where it ends.

Am i hating on them? no...am i totaly dissapointed? HELL YES!

I want to like Skyrim. Hell' date=' I want to love Skyrim.

I just can't seem to get into it the way I wish that I could. Every couple of weeks I load it up again, play for a few minutes, set it back down and get back to whatever project I;m currently obsessed with.

In fact, and this is really kind of dumb, playing Skyrim is what got me back into modding for Oblivion.

But then, the same thing happened for me when Oblivion came out. It took me years to do much more than poke around. I suppose Morrowind, for all its flaws, spoiled me.

And of course, I also loved the buggy, horrible, wonderful mess that was Daggerfall...so buggy that I couldn't even finish it, yet still one of my favorites from its generation.

This is exactly how i feel.

  4. i always loved the witcher... i need some cookies... where the hell is my glass of milk?

also' date=' about the punk trailer... Dredd?

    [/quote']

    *gives glass of milk* :D

Same here, im really excited about this :P

Lol yeah Dredd came to mind as soon as i saw the guy behind her:D

Finally a serious pc game and not some halfassed bugged console port, where you need 50 mods just to fix that shet.

  5. For me there is only one thing that bethesda did right with skyrim, partially...graphic, everything else is just halfassed work, where the worst thing is clearly the writting..in some parts its so fkin bad, that sometimes i think they let their pet monkey do the job.

For all the years i been wishing for some other game studio to make a good open world rpg, with lots of depth and passion for the game.

Good thing is, it seems my wishes were heard http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/news/982/ ...the witcher3 is going to be open world and their next cyberpunk rpg also...im very positive these guys will deliver and i can finally put the mess beth made, behind me.

  7. Installed your mod just a few dayes ago, Ms Leeches, and this is the most fun vampire mod i played from all the vamp mods out there.

Been rolling with better vampires for some time and while it was pretty good, the feeling of being a vampire with that mod wasnt that strong as with yours.

Really like the whole point, feeding/starving system, plus havent had a single bug with it..really a well done mod, thank you! :)

Edit: a little question, what is the main factor for an npc resisting your sneak feeding, is it level difference, or something else ?

  8. oh' date=' thanks Xornfl. did you get them to spit?

naaa, nothing, only on bite, i have instaled ERSO overhaul, maybe it is messing with the spiders

Actually its not, i have ERSO too and i went outside and found a spider that webbed me right away.

what can it be, i don´t have many mods installed

Maybe instead of spawning them, try to find one, there is plenty of them outside riften.

  9. Sorry about the spam Mastercchris.

Got the animations working but the peeing ones are crashing my game for some reason (i have the armor equiped) anyone got the same problem ?

    Try it Like this .

ZaZApc201 - ZaZApc212 are for when armor is equipped

These Should Work With out the armor

ZazAPCAO101 - ZazAPCAO112 ( These are Animated Objects) ( Dont Equip the Armor for those animations)

    Cheers

The first one you mentioned work without a problem, the second are crashing my game, i have the armor unequiped...but nevermind that, im just going to wait for someone to make a mod, dont wanna bother you with that.

Thank you for all the hard work, much appreciated! :)

  10. The first two letters are always different for everyone' date=' because they depend on your load order, as i said if it shows the string message then the esp file isnt activated probably.

Open the skyrim launcher, go to Data Files, click ok close launcher...that should activate your esp.

I suggest we wait for MsLeeches to make this mod playable for users as in its current state its a resource for modders, dont want to spam the thread.

    [/quote']

Ummmm just a word of warning ^^ Righty now I'm only interested in adding a very simple webbing attack to spider enemies in the world, I'll leave other things to other modders there's enough resources in this pack that modders won't get bored for a long time! Thank you mastercchris! ^^

Ahh okay, sorry kinda getting confused today about everything @_@

  12. I think there are no scripts because mastercchris didn't include them ^^ I think he said that it's supposed to be just modders resource so other people will need to script it.

I was going to! ^^ But I'm having a little trouble installing it ._. I ran fnis generator for users and I got a "Index was outside the bounds of the array." error when it started reading ZaZAnimationPack. I don't know if there's something wrong with my FNIS but I think not because lots of other things (like pinup poses and sanguine debauchery) are processed okay. I think something is wrong with the file "FNIS_ZaZAnimationPack_List.txt" because after I deleted it everything worked again. But obviously without it the animations won't work for me ^^ so please could someone tell me how to fix it?

Ahh i see' date=' seems i misunderstood the description then.

I havent got any errors while running the tool, although it seems from what you wrote the txt files need to be placed somewhere ?

    [/quote']

I think I'm unsure of what exactly I need to type into the console to get the items, how did you get them?

    Like this

    iqlg5g.jpg

Open the ZaZAPAnimationEquips.txt file, then check the code, example XX005960 where the XX you replace with the first 2 letters from the console...in my case 7f005960.
