Skyrim devouring 4 GB of RAM (memory module, not memory card, completely different things) when a bunch of mods (depending on what kind of mods, but I guess you've been 'retexturing', 'improving lighting', etc) have been added to it, is fairly normal.
As far as upgrading your RAM goes, that'll depend on your laptop. There is a maximum supported limit for it, and it should be specified in the manual.
However, do you *really* need the RAM? Are you certain it is being completely used up to the point of paging kicking in? You could see about shutting down as many background applications as possible before delving into your modded Skyrim.

For the most few months, I have been getting crashes on my computer. Maybe crash is a bit strong. Forced shutdowns is more appropiate. I only observe it when my system is literally being pushed to its limit. Particularly when playing games for long periods. That's when it is being pushed the hardest. Before I used to get it, when running Patchus Maximus but I don't think it is a software issue. At least, not Patchus Maximus.
Before you ask, no. I hadn't got any of them, recently. They stopped after I added a hole heap of esps and esms to the blocklist. That is when running PM.
It has been quite some time since I had my laptop cleaned. I am using a cooler. But it only helps to degree. I generally try to keep my room relatively cold. So external heat does not damage the hardware. So what do you think the problem is?
I have not formatted my system in a while (at all, really). If this is the problem, I would like to take this oppurtunity to upgrade it. To Windows 8.1. I hear it is completely compatible with DX11. But my concern is it may not be compatilble with hardware. Or may not be a good idea in general. I can't say I am a computer expert but I would like to inquire nonetheless.
Here are the specs
8 GB RAM (7.86 usable)
Intel Core i5 M430 2.27GHz-2.27GHz
Nvidia 310M
A forced shutdown denotes a terrible hardware overheat. When a certain safety temperature is reached, all hardware is shutdown to prevent grave damage (melting, burning, etc).
For a laptop, you should clean the CPU fan's heatsink every few months, they tend to build up a "dust wall" there that effectively forces the CPU fan to spin faster and faster until it just can't keep up. You may want to renew the thermal paste, while you're at it.
Finally, there's also the possibility that either your CPU or GPU are dying.
Note that laptops cannot handle so much stress for so many hours like desktop computers can (worse cooling, airflow). Restrain yourself a bit when it comes to intensive games.

Another point to understand why a 256Gb drive has only 240Gb space (the consideration from BillBellochek is true but it varies for different manufacturers) is:
* The commercial capacity of a drive is calculated in 1000 byes for a Kilobyte.
* The capacity calculated by the OS is a power of two, so there are 1024 bytes in a KB.
So from the "commercial" capacity you always have about 2.5% less available when you use the drive.
There are always 1000 bytes in a KB, precisely because KB stands for KiloByte.
Many OSes will report the size using KiB (KibiBytes) instead, which does contain 1024 bytes per unit.
The greatest source of confusion here would be Microsoft's fault, as they have Windows report storage size in KiB/MiB/GiB/TiB, but display KB/MB/GB/TB as the storage units used.
Storage manufacturers always advertise their products in GB/TB (arguably a marketing trick), so you do always get precisely what you pay for.
As for the OP, could have tried cleaning out %TMP%.
EDIT: Finally, the only actual recommendation for CCleaner is to burn both the computers that have it installed, and their users.

The 750 GTX TI is the superior card of the two.
It's not that it's gaining the same amount of power; it's much more power-efficient, meaning it requires less power (newer architecture).
As a plus, while being noticeably graphically superior and consuming less power, it's also cooler.

And this is why using an existing network, like Rizon or Freenode, was the proper way to go.

Same. Playing as a Lunari, attractiveness worked fine until I became a vampire. Ever since then, it's stuck at -2.
I have Better Vampires installed, too.

This was a wonderful idea. Finally a sex-related mod that I'm truly interested in.

I like adventuring/exploring. The mods I install, either add to that, or add a little spice to prevent stagnation.
EDIT: Not sure how this got cut off...
