Hey, bit of a problem here, so I just decided to install the mod.  I downloaded the data packs and the esps and such, however, whenever I try to load a save or even make a new character, the game crashes mid-way through the loading screen. I disabled all the esps however the problem still persists. I didn't install any other mods along with Cursed Armor so I'm pretty sure cursed armor is the one causing the problem. Again, the game will start up, I don't think I'm missing a master file, the game crashes in the middle of the loading screen to a save or a new game. Any input would be appreciated. I'll post my load order if need be, but since the problem persists even when the esps are deleted from the oblivion data folder, I don't know if it's a load order issue or not.

Additional info: When moving the data from the .7z file to a folder, I get a info box telling me a bunch of the individual mp3's, .nifs etc were "corrupted". I put in the password correctly, yet I still get this info.

EDIT: I got the game to work, however the process of fixing my game was to individually delete content added by the mod. I still would like to get the mod to work. I'm assuming the reason for the crashes was because of corrupted data. However multiple downloads of the data pack keep yielding the same results. Any ideas?

There is a setting in either MCS, MCS Extension, or Human Touch NPC that lets you set companions to automatically join the player faction. I set it so that they join the Player Faction, but I set their disposition to "Free" so they aren't actually forced to like me.

 

I have had up to three companions enslaved with me - lots of fun and action in the goblin cave, but they were ignored at Pelham's.

Yeah, the option is in the MCS Extension spell. Strange thing is, it was already toggled on when I went to check (before adding my companion to the player faction). There might be an issue with my load order, but it's too minor for me to even bother >.<

 

Question: Companions can get enslaved right? I've played this mod for a while and have never seen this happen. Now that I have one I've noticed this. When my char gets enslaved nothing really happens to my companion. She will either continue to attack the enemies or she'll just follow me like nothing's wrong if the master/mistress isn't aggressive towards everything. I've even tried running right into the slaver camp. My companion will fight the people there and I'll get enslaved but nothing happens with my companion. Does the companion get the cuffs and gag like the player or does something else happen?

 

Companions need to be in the player usergroup otherwise they won't be enslaved.

 

 

Thanks. I added my companion through MCS and I assumed that they would automatically join the player faction when I used the "follow me" command but that wasn't the case. I managed to get my companion into the player faction through console and after a quick test, things seem to be working.

If anyone wants to know how I did it, all you have to do is go into console, select the NPC in question and type: "SetFactionRank 0001dbcd 0 " without any quotation marks.

The nexus has been spiraling downhill for years now. It's gotten to the point (for me) where if I click a link to a mod page on the nexus, whenever I click on a new tab, it doesn't switch to that tab and the screen scrolls back up to the top for whatever reason. Also clicking the fucking search thingy refreshes the god damn fucking page. I literally have to search in google the mod I want to download, click the link (if it's there) and THEN it will work properly! I've tried this with multiple browsers, all yielding the same results. And I would rather go without modding entirely than pay to become a premium member on that shitty site.

While I haven't tried StalkerM yet either, in theory, wouldn't configuring joburg so that NPCs do not target the player but keep "active mode" on so that NPCs can still stalk other NPCs be viable? That way LoversStalkerM would focus on NPCs stalking the player while joburg is purely focused on NPCs stalking NPCs. It's just a theory, and might not work.

Bandit Quest is actually a completely stand alone "game" from oblivion that simply uses custom screenshots to tell the story.

As a member of loverslab for several years now I try my hardest to stay active and aware as much as possible. After all, this really is the first internet forum that I ever became so involved with as I am now. Despite this, I continuously find myself oblivious to the arguing and extreme dissent among other members here. So when I discover that an active member has been banned or is leaving I usually find myself shocked and surprised. Perhaps this is because I tend to avoid heated discussions as much as I can or perhaps it's simply because I log in after the responsible events have already occurred. Regardless:

Queen Bee, It's sad to see you go, but I understand. Like others, while I never really conversed with you here or off the site, I truly did enjoy your posts and comments. All in all, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and If you do choose to return here, know that there are many who will welcome you back with open arms.

Gonna add to this quote pyramid since I share this vice with you guys! I like the quiet "late night" feel I get when I'm at home and alone. Sometimes I just like to sit in a chair or look out the window in the kitchen or do some other mundane things. Although usually I'm sitting at my computer surfing the web or playing games. In the moment I feel perfectly awake and alert, but in the morning I feel like crap :/

And while I don't have a vice for Dr. Pepper, I do have one for Mountain Dew (although I must say Dr. Pepper does taste really good). I love the tastes of all the flavors, and tbh It's much more enjoyable to drink than coffee when it comes to taking in caffeine. If I'm at a fast food place and mountain dew is one of the fountain options, I'll get multiple refills. It's totally unhealthy but I just can't stop myself!

As good as Last Light may look, I will not buy it. I simply refuse to support Koch's absurd money grabbing. 5$ for a DIFFICULTY MODE? A simple change in damage/health/weapon or ammo scarcity and maybe perhaps improved ai? Fuck that shit. And some might say that I should simply just pre-order. And to them I say, Aliens: Colonial Marines. A:CM was just another example of why pre-ordering is a terrible investment to make. I'm not going to spend $60 or more on a game that isn't out yet, and I have no knowledge of what the final product looks like and how it actually plays despite whatever hype I may have or whatever dinky little pre order bonuses are available. And speaking about pre order bonuses...

Let's see here... Okay, so there's ranger mode, a comic, a gun, and... in game currency? Let's remember here people, Metro is labeled as a hardcore survival FPS. It's a niche game that is played by a lot of hardcore gamers, so essentially Koch is alienating a chief part of their Metro fans from the game. With all of this in mind, why would you take away the preferred difficulty mode aka ranger mode aka "the way the way the game was meant to played" and put it as a pre order bonus with a free gun and free in game currency. Doesn't that sort of diminish the survival aspect of the game when you're simply given this stuff? So now hardcore gamers who want to play the game the way it was meant to be played are forced to either pre order the game (which it probably is too late to do st this point) along with unwanted free things or pay 5 bucks for it. Wow.

And then Koch has the nerve to blame retailers for taking ranger mode out when they already have perfectly bonuses to begin with! What, the gun, MG bullets and comic wasn't enough?

And yet still developers and publishers wonder why people pirate games.

Okay, perhaps "boob plate armor" is disadvantageous to the wearer in reality, I get that. But to be honest, in a game world, I don't really care. While in my games I don't have females running around in super skimpified outfits for armor, this "boob plate armor" at least looks believable to a degree. No game out there takes the data mentioned in the article into account and it's easy to understand why.

This is the internet, anonymity is the name of the game and really there's not much that we can do to stop kiddies from entering adult sites. Some require guests to put in their credit card info in order to access the site but these seem like horrible nasty traps. And I'm certainly not desperate enough for pronz that I'd willingly reveal that sort of info just like that. And no I'm not suggesting that we use this sort of thing here at LL, that would be a terrible idea.

Plus it's not really our responsibility to keep minors away. That responsibilty belongs to the parents who should either monitor what they do, place restrictions or simply sit and talk with them about what exists on the internet, the possible dangers of adult sites (not saying LL is "dangerous") and more. That's what my dad did to me when I was younger. He said he knew that I would get curious and start exploring adult content. He did so in a positive way. He Explained the danger of viruses and such and he never put a single restiction on my internet access. Now of course I did get a few viruses here and there when I really began to explore but I've learned.

So all in all, while it might be desireable to keep minors out, there's really no feasible solution to do so.

Yeah, the BBofF certainly has buffed up my post count quite a bit, but I've really slowed down posting here (which means nonusnomeni will be taking my current place soon! Oh no!!). I'll have you know though that I do try to post in other places too! Hell, I'd be posting in the LwPK tech support section way more often if Gregathit wasn't so damn efficient!

Thing is, if reinstalling doesn't work, you might simply have to abandon your current character and make a new one. The new one should receive the scroll. Try making a new character and see if that's the case.

Do you have Estrus installed? If so, you'll have to go into the estrus settings spell and turn off the nudeshy feature there.
