A little warning to mod creators of non adult mods....

Ahaha man I'm dumb, didn't even look at the pictures somehow That is accurate tho ahaha Finally finished TotalBiscuit's video, you're right actually he does have a lot of good points, I guess I was put off by the initial analogy. That's what you get smoking pot while debating. -

It'd actually be a good thing if LoversLab had a paid membership.Would help Ashal quite a bit and he deserves the money way more than most of the modders I'm seeing on Steam right now. Not the subject at hand anyway. -

Sorry I thought your image with small priced items addressed at me was a sophisticated way to tell me that bundle didn't exist. I'm afraid I have no idea why you shared that pic then ? -

Was this about Chesko's fishing thing ? I wonder how much a "fishing mod with custom animations for 3$" without custom animations will sell Edit : Wait Chesko was busy signing agreements, contracts and shit a month before this whole crap started and neither him nor Valve nor isoku from W&C felt it necessary to contact fore or nivea whose work they use ?!! I can't even ... -

To that I answer : 27 dollars bundle, 17 swords, 2 armors and a blue rabbit unicorn. If say, Interesting NPCs was finished and became available today, and was like 5 dollars, I'd probably pay. Tons of voice actor, quality writing, amazing quest, they deserve to be paid, honestly. Same for Faalskar, for Wyrmtooth, for Frostfall. Heck I'd pay for Vilja. But holy balls, seeing a price tag on meshes ?!! I mean come on. What I would love for mods such as the ones I mentioned are personal blogs, with ads, and the knowledge that authors win as much as popular youtubers. Or paid mods, without the ads then, on their personal blogs. Instead we get a slave ship, where Valve is the captain, Bethesda the second in command and the slave modders rowing away, most of them crappy rowers too, with a few good honest ones in the lot but still rowing slaves. Screw that. -

Load of bull. Started snickering at the comparison between modders and youtubers. Do I pay 5 fucking dollars to watch that jackass Norwegian kid pewdiepie spit on his mic for half an hour ? No. Hence no comparison here. If Nexus didn't exist and modders could open blogs with ads and get all their money that way, then yes the analogy would hold. Furthermore I'm sorry what ? Did that guy say paid mods would attract more talented modders ? Just like how developers create DLCs with original content and exquisite quality am I right ? Paid mods will mean the authors will feel obligated to give support on the mods they sell instead of committing themselves to give it freely. That's about all concerning the quality upgrade. And yeah modders should be paid for their work. At least if I have to pay for something I want, let the money go to the dude who makes it, not to Valve for fuck sake. -

Exactly what I was trying to tell Shezrie on Steam. He told me he was really in need of money and I couldn't just tell him to find a job instead of shitting on his favorite hobby like this by dirtying it with consumerism and business. When your hobby becomes a business it's not a hobby anymore. And when you do shit you were passionate about for money, well EA happens. It's not even a random premonition, it's how the game industry works. Modding was made to be something made by fans for fans, now I have no idea what is happening but selling DLCs made by fans for fans is just plain wrong. Funniest thing is Nexus, sheepishly nodding in approval in front of everything they worked against (kind of). -

Well that sucks balls. Always thought modding was sort of a sacred ground where invisible rules existed to keep capitalism at bay and that we had a real community. It's all going to shit as Varric says. -
What really pisses you off? please no posts about nexus lol
Redflyingmonkey replied to Dragonjoe69's topic in Off Topic
Since in that analogy, the devil is actually Valve, right now I'd prefer pissing on him than "joining him". If we are still talking about Valve. Fuck Valve. -

Hope it won't. Seeing Chesko on there really made me more disappointed and angry that I thought I'd be about anything related to games. And if a respected and talented modder like Chesko goes and does something like this, who's to say others of the same talent won't do it too ? -

When you think you found a place free of it, with people who miraculously seem to give things freely to others, corporatism and capitalism and pig disease slam the doors open and get in all smiles to fuck everything up. This is a really sad and angering moment for one of the only two corners of the gaming industry still deserving respect, all of it caused by the other corner which, albeit liking their money, always were clean and even generous while doing their business. Valve and modding both raped and raping, here's a toast to the Grand Sodomy Tourney's opening. Drink and watch as our proud knights saddle up to shove huge ass dildos in our buttholes. While enjoying the spectacle, would you like a brand new retexture on your wine cup, for only 2 dollars ?!! FUCK BALLS -

I honestly couldn't care less for people who would buy mods, if it's updated or if their computer can't handle the textures, if the CPU lags because of the scripts or if they just get bored of it. Don't care. The only mods deserving actual money per download are made by modders who barely even accept donations. Chesko excepted, I'm pretty sure soon enough it's gonna be flooded with swords and maces and swords and maces and retextures. The biggest problem is the evolution of this crap. Even a dumbass could see what will happen if modding becomes a business, mods will be rushed, people will make modding companies, and soon enough you'll get paid updates for your paid mods on your paid DLCs of your paid game. Not even pushing it there, that's what it is. Thing about it : a paid quest mod which needs Dragonborn and updates every month with a new chapter. THE FUCKING HORROR. -

Wait, they're saying it's not actually paid mods but paid "Early Access" ? Hey look at the initials for "Early Access". That's right, it's "corporate bitch ass sucking fat pig disease". -

Retarded is the fucking word. Plus I'm just reading Steam gets 75% of the money ?!! WHAT THE HELL MAN ?! It's already bad enough that they are even attempting this, but they keep all the fucking green too ?! Not only that, but have you guys even seen what sort of bullshit they are selling ? It's a god damn Asian MMO micro payment market place !!! A sword for 2 dollars for fuck sake, horse armor, ebony armor with that "Ancient Tongue" sword retexture ... What's the next step, making you pay for ENB presets ? A naked Dibella statue for 10 dollars ? And how in the fuck would modders who spent hundreds of hours working on real shit only for the love of modding supposed to feel looking at all this ? THIS is the most retardedly wrong thing I've seen in my short life of modder, and me naive son of a bitch who thought this field was free of everything that is fucked up about game industry... -

Wait what ?!! What the fuck happened ? I don't play Skyrim for two months and all of a sudden Bethesda goes bonkers and decide to literally rape their own policy on created content ? I thought they'd "never, ever, ever" consider accepting monetizing mods ?!! THE FUCK -
Been trying this thing for more than 10 hours now, story at only 20%. So far, I'm starting to feel it's the best zombie game since Day Z (the mod version). I'm having an absolute blast, running on rooftops and dropping kicks on obese zombies, it's just amazing. The story is pretty unique too, the game takes place in what looks like an Arab country, I'm thinking Northern Africa or even Saudi Arabia, I think it's the first time a game of that level was made with that kind of environment. There's nothing that resembles Dead Island except for the cool light effects and some animations, and the awesome details in the texturing department. I've honestly looked everywhere for a defect or something I'd hate, to no avail. I'm not saying the game is perfect, but it sure as hell is the first time in a while I've ever played a game without immediately noticing something I absolutely hate in it, like an inconsistency in the story line, or more simply bugs, or annoying mechanics, but there's none here ! Anyone else playing it ? I want to see other opinions or I'll turn in a fanboy soon.

We already do give names to different universes, so to speak. Our own numerical conception of time is just that, a way to name the universe at a given time of the day. Cause the universe at 8:10 is not the same as the universe at 8:30, hence the 8:10 universe and the 8:30 universe. It's Time buddy, as long as we can't actually observe other "dimensions" evolving at the exact same time as ours.

That's all the awkwardness of the all digital mate. You don't even know what is yours anymore. Just be glad you still have the choice to buy a pre ordered digital copy or wait to get the retail, with the way this whole thing is heading I wouldn't be surprised if in some years we will see weeks between the release of the digital and the retail, with buncha bonus packages that will come with the pre ordered digital. I understand it's a way to help out the developpers, you make them get a bit o money weeks befote the game is actually out, I just wish the games that offer pre order weren't so full with unoptimized and buggy bullshit when it does come out. Kind of feels foul to pay 70€, wait 2 weeks and 5 days for this game to come out and then receive an annoyingly unplayable piece of crap. I want them to create a closed post beta environment for pre orders, where you can play some part of the story until the day the full game is available, while allowing you to get a refund if you find the game to be freaking Assassin's Creed Unity. That'd be fair, and you'd actually get a little something and not just a lousy flaming bow you'll use for less than 2 hours in dragon age...

Stofan is Nasa's chief scientist, okay, I just don't know what kind of "science" that title refers to. Astronomy or astrology ? May be just american science too. Or marketing science. Or whack-a-mole science ? Nutjob science ? Kool-aid science ? -
