By the way, my face when loverslab goes offline 8 times on a row when I attempt to get ZaZ's textures that I forgot ->Also I'm using Opethfeldt atm, and I really like it, yet I can't help but notice some vanilla looking effect on the background, like everything looks fine at close range but the farther you look, the more it looks vanilla. I'm not gonna bother looking for some kind of fix, but which values tweak the depth of field so it's stronger and takes effect at a shorter distance ? Maybe I can just blur everything far away from me with it so I won't have to see it...

Hi, sorry, didn't see your post.
No, it's not a texture mismatch, it's a tad bit more complicated than that. Here to explain :

Basically it's a quasi transparent texture that is on top of my own dds msn etc. It only shows up on the old, freckled complexions sliders. It is literally making me go crazy, that's the only issue I'm having with my game right now and you all know how fucking difficult it is to finally get a stable mod setup. When I turn the character head it slowly disappears, but when I look at her from the front it's pitch black.
As you can see, it's not the femalehead.dds files that are having a problem, as the seem only occur starting from the middle of the neck. If my face texture wasn't compatible with the head mesh, or if I had GPU issues, the seam would start at the base of the neck, at the junction between the body and the head mesh. Instead, it's only the face that's black, like, only the areas on which the complexions slider has an effect.
I can't believe this issue has not been seen before in 4 years of Skyrim modding, but I can't find anything on google so far. Please captain help me !0 -
A little hommage to da real untold MVP of Skyrim, that Mara statue from Alternate Start. Also a nazi chick, 'cause even if nazis are bad and all that, big boobed blonds in "uniform" are still hot. Also showcases for my character preset, dunno if it's worthy of those cunts at Nexus or what. Also an excuse to use the starting cell for screenshots, I'm lazy.
Some bitch Knight
Some bitch Elf
Fuck immersion !
Fuck it I said !
Tried fitness blender for the first time look at those back muscles !! A-we-some.18 -
I apologize for bumping this but a week later, still no clue how to fix this. I've narrowed the issue to the complexions, y'know in the complexion slider for old, freckled, red faced etc ... When an elf in my game is made with a complexion other than the starting one, the face turns black. But it's not all black like a texture glitch. It's like a transparent black layer only on the face part, not on the neck, that disappears from certain angles ... Man I've never seen this problem before and believe me, I've seen shitblocks of shit in Skyrim.

7 hours ago, Mogie56 said:I'm wondering how much different the animations are since FO4 also uses .hkx. I know the naming conventions are much different.
Going nuts with the crafting, have gone back a save or two half a dozen times for making bad storyline decisions, luckily I save often. :)
I think the animations are similar to Skyrim's, except they have a better skeleton and spent more time on transitions etc. Knowing bethesda, it'd be surprising if they didn't use similar critter skeletons as Skyrim too, for example molerats/skeevers, deathclaw/werewolf, brahmin/horse etc... Which means we should be able to import all animations from Sexlab into FO4, after some tweaks here and there ? Could be a pretty nice start into modding the game

On 19/11/2015 10:10:42, InKal said:How to make the game look pretty and preserve good fps? Basically you need a pretty strong computer. Godrays (and probably dof) are responsible for fps, not textures. There's no differcence in fps ( also in quality) between medium and ultra textures (lol ultra, typical low res textures for consoles - ultra) but by turning godrays off you can boost fps by 40. yeah 40 more fps. Problem is that with godrays off game looks kinda like shit.
IMo if you wanna play F4 comfortable with stable 60 fps and godrays on ultra in 1080p you need GTX970.
F4 is for consoles. First they made typical console low res textutures, second they added some kind of postprocessing(??) hack (so called godrays) and optimized it for consoles in order to make the game look "pretty". Goal was 30fps in 1080p on consoles. All this on the same fucking 10 years old engine. /facepalm.jpg/
Are you illiterate or unlucky ? Out of the two threads about opinions on FO4, you picked the wrong one.
I really like how they made the game so easy to mod for us. Can already see so many ways to make sex oriented mods for it, actually I'm mostly thinking about that when I'm roaming around with a female companion. Really want some action to happen with those asses in blue suits, trying to change Piper into that girl from Shadbase's comics, lots of promises

Dunno why everyone's bitching about this game. Maybe I'm biased since I don't play much anymore, but I'm loving it. Most of the points I like have been fleshed out already, but there's this one thing I absolutely love, it's how cool the enemies are. I mean the AI sure is wonky sometimes but it wouldn't be a Bethesda game without it. Except in this game, even with the dumb ass AI, the enemies' animations are so sick you just love playing against them. All the cool dodging movements the ghouls make are making me jump out of my chair, even a mere mole rat is so awesome with all the jumping around, digging, teeth crashing on the camera and all that I'm always on the edge, even if I'm in a power armor. The fact that the guns are so fucking satisfying to shoot is even more amazing. Honestly the only beef I have so far is the fact I can't see my guns on my back, but I guess it'll be one of the first things people mod.
The exploration is cool too, a tad bit too many closed houses but honestly there are so many shit to discover in the towns that I don't know if I'd have liked it if they'd opened all the houses. Just, as soon as I stepped into say, Lexington, my mind went kaboom, like where the fuck do I go, can I even go there at my level, what the fuck where did that grenade come from...0 -
Ok i know it's complexions. They turn the face completely black on eeo elves. Now how the f do I fix this ?

Nope, got no hair replacers, only KsHairdoes and it's only for the player char

So I got back to skyrim not too long ago, and I completely forgot what is causing this
Nasty color seams on the Altmer, black face on the Wood Elf. On the Wood Elf, when I look at her from different angles I can see through the black color though, so it's not like her face's texture is pure black, I'm guessing it is a messed up overlay like a diffuse or a subsurface. Problem is, I got ethereal elven overhaul, so editing the tintmasks and the textures is pure agony, as it messes up other things ... What exactly am I supposed to edit to get those rights ? And in which folder do I find them ? As far as I know, they use the same general textures as the nord female right ? I have 0 seams on human races but the elvens fuck everything up. Help me !

Hey, it's a little thing I would like to ask to someone with a Max and a Nifskope on his computer. Just copy/pasting and scaling the MNC's horse dick to those new Horses Revamped on the Nexus. I'm not even doing anything to those damn horses but now I got used to them having dicks and it's just weird when I know they don't have one anymore
Would do it myself if I wasn't scared of downloading cracked Maxs on my unprotected new PC
Thanks.0 -

So, I've tried disabling everything one by one, but it's only when I disable the last effect that fps goes up again. That last effect can be anything from SSAO to WaterShadows... I tried disabling shadows last, ssao last, dof last, yet it doesn't matter which thing I disable, it's just only when I disable all effects that the fps goes back to 50.
ENB is running on the GTX for sure, since I've tried modifying some of the values in the Nvidia configuration and I can see obvious changes in game. Since the Nvidia configuration panel doesn't change anything on the integrated Intel GPU, I can safely assume the GTX is working properly.
Yes I pressed apply changes
I'm wondering if this doesn't have something to do with the binary itself ? Maybe it's not suited to GTX 960M, it's a relatively new GPU not really that widespread and all. Optimization issue ?0 -
Tried that, didn't change a single fps in game, it didn't change at all ! Plus I get 50 fps with 2K textures, frostfall wet and cold all the sexlab bullshit, and some more script mods going behind, so I think it's allright for the buck I gave it !

Ah yeah shit, got another issue with ENB so I'm using this post once again.
I'm taking like a 40 fps loss with ENB, like I'm at 49/50 fps, I push F12 to activate ENB, and BLAM WACK A MOLE, 15 fps. Like, I'm not completely stupid allright, I know ENBs can eat your VRAM up and shit, yet that seems a little excessive right ? The ENB is still Tundra ENB, is there something relevant to my laptop's GTX 960m that I have to tweak ?PS I've tried to lower some values concerning DoF and SSAO, but it doesn't change like even 1 fps in game, so I'm thinking this has something to do with another thing. Which is odd since SSAO and DoF are the most demanding features in ENB...

Thanks for sharing. She's beautiful!
Thanks man !
Hey if someone manages to fix that square thing going on in her eyes and post her back here that'd be really cool ! No idea why she got that, it's pretty annoying for screenshots even if shadows hide it most of the time ...

I'm back but wtf is up with this thread, it dead or what ?
Made this one evil sorceress redhead, so I'm sharing it. Don't ask about the dog with the boner, it's for herm, theatrical purposes.

Necessary mods :
- Racemenu (last version)
- Citrus Head (Player version)
- Real Girl or SRG Female Textures by Seren4XX
- KS hairs
- Smile in HD
- Eyes of Beauty
- Brows
Other (non necessary) :
- Tundra ENB
- Suicide Girls Tatoos
- Empyrean Warpaints
- Frecklemania
- SSS Patch for ENB
- Draconic Bloodline (armor)
- Dragonbone Bikini ("armor")
I think that's all, as always I'm too lazy to delete all the overlays, so the .jslot is baked with it. If you have purple textures, turn all Bodypaint, Handpaint, Makeup options in Racemenu back to "Default". You can also download the overlay mods without installing the .esps, Racemenu will pick them up.

Pretty much solved
Except I have absolutely 0 idea how I did it. Uninstalled Tundra ENB, installed Seasons of Skyrim, uninstalled Seasons of Skyrim, installed Tundra ENB back, and now there's a clear improvement. I don't know what kind of file I forgot in there but let it stay there until I delete that fucking folder again.
Thanks for the help guys.0 -
Nope Tepi, didn't do anything
Blur masks were at 0, I put them back to 2, 0 changes except for land shadows.
And yep Grim did all this already, plus those lines are about completely different issues than my crappy pixel shadows :/0
