Mod Organizer VS. new Nexus Mod Manager v0.6
carnifex replied to Mister X's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
In the same way that people who stick to stone tools are a dying breed, yes -
I think he meant "I'll Take the Display Model", which is kinda like less immersive Puppet Master with many, many more options for tying people up in various ZAZ poses and furniture but no real interaction with them beyond that.

WIP Slaverun Reloaded (30.Nov 2015)
carnifex replied to Kenjoka's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
Or maybe she allows a form of slavery to exist that isn't based on a discrimination of a particular sex? I know original Slaverun ran with that, and it's fine (as a sexual fantasy, that is ) but that doesn't mean other holds can't run slavery on different assumptions. For Riften, which is pretty cutthroat but also quite business-minded, some form of debt slavery might be appropriate. No idea how viable it is for implementation, just a thought. -
What was the first game(s) you ever played for PC (that you remember)?
carnifex replied to polluxval's topic in General Gaming
First pc games I remember were Doom 2 and Mortal Kombat played on a cousin's early Pentium rig. First game on my own pc (though I guess formally it was my parents' rather than mine) was Duke Nukem 3D. Good times were had. -
How would you force the dragonborn to commit crimes?
carnifex replied to nooblet123's topic in Skyrim Adult Mods
I tend to play thieves a lot, partly because it gives me an excuse to get in all sorts of perverted trouble, partly because I actually like the thief gameplay in Skyrim (though ironically the Thieves Guild is the only major vanilla questline I never finished). Sure, I could make more money crafting and selling, but I hate the grind involved. I consider illicit activities a funnier alternative, because more things can go wrong - and if you play at a serious difficulty level of your choice, hired thugs can be quite a challenge for a thief whose level comes almost exclusively from grinding sneak, pickpocket and lockpicking -
Check the download page of Xaz Prison Overhaul, there's an instruction there for making whip marks last longer.

There is a number of mods that make people react to sex going on in their vicinity, mostly with comments - DD More Devious Quest, Spectator Crowds, Deviously Cursed Loot, Maria Eden come to mind (the last one only works for sex scenes it initiates by itself). The problem is, mods that do it tend to not play well with other mods by injecting their programmed behaviours in the middle of another mod's scene, breaking it.

Looking for a mod that adds realistic NPC prostitutes to the game

Same here, immersive wenches plus radiant prostitution works without a hitch and I am positively drowning in whores -
Zombie apocalypse: Roleplay ideas? More than just surviving
carnifex replied to nanashi50's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
Let me put it this way: at the core of all zombie fiction lies the shock factor of something blatantly supernatural and malicious happening in a very mundane world (a common trope in other horror stories as well). You won't get that effect in either Fallout or TES, because both settings have blatantly supernatural elements, generally employed in a way that evokes wonderment and amusement, not primal terror. Likewise, you can still have a zombie apocalypse in either setting, it will just feel noticably different (both from the baseline scenario and from each other). That's not necessarily a bad thing, because mixing things up staves off ennui and lets us develop a whole new level of appreciation of our favorite genres by helping us understand what makes them work. Consider that the mechanics of TES games don't necessarily accurately mirror the lore of the world, in the sense that what your character can do is not necessarily the same as what the world assumes a similarly skilled character can do. With that in mind, I don't recall many stories in TES lore about single mages taking out entire armies or even squads. In fact, if you read an in-game book titled A Hypothetical Treachery, you'll see in it that running out is a serious problem for mages, even seasoned adventurers, which leads me to believe the abilities of a player character mage in any Elder Scrolls game are exaggerated compared to what is expected of a mage in the setting. And even discounting that, an average mage in Tamriel isn't an Expert of Destruction magic loaded on powerful magical items and hoarding one hundred Magicka potions in their backpack. Hence, I posit the threat of a necromantic contagion mirroring the effects of every zombie virus ever would be much more dire than you give them credit for - sure, it probably wouldn't be more terrifying to people than massive invasions from a plane of Oblivion, or the return of the World Eater, or madmen building giant God-Golems... you get the point but I'd say it would be about comparable, assuming an outbreak that spans across an entire province. Hell, now that I think of it, the Blight diseases in Morrowind were quite a lot like your usual zombie virus, and the Blight was considered a major problem in that story. -
Zombie apocalypse: Roleplay ideas? More than just surviving
carnifex replied to nanashi50's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
Arguably, Fallout has the same problem - it's already a (science) fantasy setting, and any zombie virus would be just another fantastic menace to be dealt with in the wasteland. I'd posit TES magic isn't powerful enough to make a zombie invasion a non-threat. Faced with thousands of zombies, most mages of Tamriel would fare about as well as professional soldiers fare in modern zombie fiction - kill a bunch of them, run out of ammo (magicka), get eaten. -
Zombie apocalypse: Roleplay ideas? More than just surviving
carnifex replied to nanashi50's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
I wouldn't say Skyrim is the wrong setting for such a scenario - arguably, it would be more interesting and less explored to have an honest to god zombie apocalypse in a fantasy setting as opposed to modern and/or post-apocalypse settings. I'm saying that current mods don't really support any scenario other than survival, and the base game doesn't really react to the scenario in a way that would encourage emergent gameplay. -
Zombie apocalypse: Roleplay ideas? More than just surviving
carnifex replied to nanashi50's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
Draugr aren't really zombies, they're more like mummies - ancient corpses preserved by blasphemous magic, rising up to punish those foolish enough to disturb the lifeless peace of their tombs and awaiting the return of their dark gods. But that's more of a nitpick, because the issue is not with lore, but with the mechanics of the game. Whether we're talking draugr or other kind of undead, the game world isn't programmed to react to a mass invasion scenario, and as far as I know, existing mods that introduce such a scenario don't do much besides creating a mechanic that throws a lot of zombies at you and the cities. With the NPCs oblivious to the apocalypse (except in the very moment the undead are charging to gnaw their faces off) and with no way to deal with the invasion other than killing whatever zombies the game spawns near you, it's hard, if not impossible, to really do anything except try and survive, because the game won't recognize any other objectives you might set for yourself. -
Submissive Lola. Consensual D/S mod
carnifex replied to alexvkj's topic in Downloads - Skyrim Adult & Sex Mods
Some people are into verbal humiliation, others not so much... hard to please everyone, and it's not like we can reasonably expect the dialogs to fully adapt to our preferences in this regard. Personally, I'm fine either way, it's just a different kind of master/slave relationship. -
Mod Organizer VS. new Nexus Mod Manager v0.6
carnifex replied to Mister X's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
I'd highly recommend it. For some reason, MO tends to sound extremely intimidating to people who don't use it (it took me quite a lot of time to build up courage to switch because of that), but I can attest that once you actually understand how it works, it's perfectly easy to understand how to operate it - and I am by no means any kind of power user. And the benefits are vast. Frankly, had I not discovered LL and Sexlab, I'd probably stick to the idiot-proof NMM out of sheer convenience, but with how often SL mods get updated and all the possible conflicts that can arise due to that (and the general need to fine-tune my setup quite often due to a large number of script-intensive mods), I can't imagine myself using LL content with NMM, as I'd probably be doing a full reinstall of Skyrim about once a month with my modding habits. -

I might try the new NMM if I feel like playing Oblivion or Fallout, but I'm not switching my Skyrim over to anything anytime soon. -
Looking for a mod that adds realistic NPC prostitutes to the game
carnifex replied to FreakyStyley's topic in SexLab Framework
That's what Radiant Prostitution does when it comes to NPCs - it makes all NPCs wearing tavern clothes act as whores. You're free to not use the player as prostitute part. -
Try the last couple pages of the Devious Devices Captured Dreams Shop thread, the author is very forthcoming with his progress and plans.

Deviously Enslaved v1.04 (1/7/15)
carnifex replied to Chase Roxand's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
I believe SD does it's thing by removing your hair and not substituting it with anything (if you look closely, it's not the same as the shaved hair you can pick from the menu). I don't think it's trackable in any way. -

Devious Devices - Captured Dreams Shop (Updated 2-5-2015)
carnifex replied to Veladarius's topic in Downloads - SexLab Framework
The expansion quests were mostly linear, with this update it seems we're getting a lot of "radiant" content, with a lot of small choices / randomness but few points where you can split the content without it biting you in the ass later. -
Not the mod you're asking for, but check out Namira's goat here on LL, if you haven't yet. It's pretty similar.
-
In the upcoming version of captured dreams, you'll have the option of engaging in a devious relationship with your spouse, either as a dom or a sub (depending on your other choices throughout the mod, or determined randomly). It will involve not just chastity but also other bdsm activities with your spouse.

Just a thought for a possible mod related to the nine divines
carnifex replied to rockoverlord23's topic in SexLab Framework
While I can think of specific scenarios involving any Aedra or Daedra that would include some form of sex, I don't think it makes sense to tie all the Aedra and Daedra to some kind of sex, if what I'm saying makes sense. For example, I could write a quest where someone strikes a deal with Clavicus Vile and, say, ends up a sex slave due to the fine print in the contract. But that's because his domain involves tricking people into bad deals, and the fact that this bad deal involves sex, or particular types of sex, is purely incidental from Vile's perspective. Ultimately what I'm saying is that there's no symmetry and there shouldn't be any, so don't try to shoehorn all Aedra and Daedra into rewarding specific sex acts, because it will never make sense for some of them.
