  1. The only shows I watched that got canceled in what I feel was a premature way, were Angel, Firefly, Kings, and most recently...Copper.

A lot of really good shows just ran their course and were better off just ending.

House, Lost, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice, Dexter, Battlestar Galactica....those shows all ended well, and when they should have. House may have possibly gone on a season too long actually.

Fringe...that show concluded, but I was not a fan of the final season at all. I think the writers went wrong by...

Making the Observers an enemy invasion force int the future.

  2. I'm not a fan of reality shows at all.

Well....that's not entirely true. P.B.S. used to have a few shows that were experiments. Groups of people would attempt to live as people did in other times. There was an Iron Age, series, and Edwardian series, and a Colonial American series that I saw.

    Those were pretty cool.

The Edwardian House series was kinda naughty too. The people who were living as the house staff got up to some kinky business.from time to time.

  3. Criminal Minds would be a good show if it weren't for that magical computer genie "Garcia". What is otherwise an really neat police procedural show with a focus on criminal profiling, is completely ruined by that Deus Ex Machina character,

For 40 minutes, we see the team picking apart the pathology of the killer, winnowing down a likely suspect...then, in the last 5 minutes, along comes the chubby, quirky, hacker girl...who figures out who the killer is in 72 keystrokes.

  4. I know a good many of you aren't from the U.S. But I am wondering what some of your favorite current television programs are.

For me, the shows I'm currently watching are Justified, Hannibal, Community, Shameless, True Detective, The Walking Dead, Revolution, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Blacklist, The Following, and Bones (when it starts airing again).

Friday's season premiere of Hannibal opened with an awesome fight sequence.

For movie buffs...Imagine Morpheus from the Matrix, fighting One-Eye from Valhalla Rising (Lawrence Fishburne vs. Mads Mikklesen).  It was pretty damn awesome for a regular network program.

  5. Granted. But it's constructed from the flesh of limbs forcibly amputated from the bodies of your loved ones.

I wish I earned 12 cents every time anyone in the world used the word "if". Either in spoken, or written form.

  6. Its commonly thought that the worst thing to happen to boxing was the introduction of those thick gloves.

With that much protection for their hands, boxers are more apt to throw blows to the head. The impacts of those head shots have rattled brains badly enough to cause some truly severe trauma.

Before the gloves got so thick, fighters would concentrate on body blows. Punching someone in the head can shatter bones in your hands if they're not padded. Not to mention gouging up your flesh from something called "fight bites". If you punch someone in the face, chances are quite high tat their teeth will scrape up your knuckles.

Nevermind just the ripped open skin...human mouths are invariably filthy, and fight bites are highly prone to infection.

  7. That full plate armor cuts both ways.

With the added protection it affords, it's become a much higher impact sport now. And because of that, it's also become more dangerous. Being "hit" in a professional football game is the equivalent to being in a 30mph car crash.

  8.

Strange thought. Not too much griping here about the Steam Workshop.

Come to think of it your right. I guess it's because they don't ban people over petty crap, and the steam sales can sometimes be awesome. And on top of that they wear their evil corporation title with pride, unlike nexus who claims to be on the communities side while their fearless leader craps on every aspect of the community that doesn't make him bundles of money.

And you know it's damn sad when you consider a money hungry company the lesser of two evils.

Think they treat their paid subscribers like they're not quite as disposable over at the Nexus?

  9. Some shots of a really random and outright lore breaking armor conversion I just did. As looked upon this random peace of lore destroying goodness, I suddenly found myself thinking up some interesting ways to shoot this thing.

Images below are big and NSFW (more of my bottomless hijinks :D).

*Contrails made with Photoshop for added effect, visuals tweaked with ENB, encase anyone was wondering.

Please don't hurt me... too much.

Here's my thoughts on stuff like this as far as lore is concerned.

Nirn is a planet. Like any other, it has moons, and revolves around a solar body of some kind.

Planetary bodies aren't alone. There are billions of them out there. You look up at the sky at night and you see stars right? Why can't any of those be acting as solar bodies for other life-bearing worlds?

Now who's to say those worlds don't have technologically advanced civilizations able to travel? And who's to say some of those travelers haven't come to Nirn?

Heck...one of the theories about what happened to the Dwemer is that they left the planet. Yet they still left all kinds of cool techno-stuff behind.

Maybe visitors from other worlds have been to Nirn and they accidentally left something behind too?

I personally wouldn't play with that Gundam stuff. But it's not a great crime to come up with your own personal imaginative reasons for why that kind of item would be in Skyrim.

Next time someone gives you shit about your mods not being "lore friendly" do yourself a favor...lick the tip of your middle finger, raise it at the screen, and blow.

By the time it's dry, you'll have sent a sufficient amount of "fuck you" vibes off toward the fuck-mouth.

*EDIT: Reskin that thing with some gold plating and dark rivets...have some glowing soul gems embedded in the chest pieces, and have it shoot gouts of steam...and presto! Its a Dwemer  item.
