Nothing new in the West.

The only 'ass acting' in a free speech environment without any idea of the causes behind the problem (and trolling is just a peripheral on the Nexus) I can see up to now that is you, mister. It simply hurts me to see a moron again that insists on humbug, one that is utmost hard to distinguish (if ever) from the one of same age on the Nexus, likewise with a strange upside down understanding of the Vietnam War and its impact on the US.
Anyway, stealth mode or not, I don't have the room for such trickeries. Bis repetita non placent.

Well there is always a third way between 'good' (satisfying up to amazing) and 'bad' (crappy up to pointless), and that is 'grey' (featureless up to strange).
Disregarding the ending as 'good' for emotionally regarded for most of the players it isn't and 'bad' cos this would never ever has passed the management it has to be 'grey'. And because of the features we can see but not understand it must be strange - and here we go, we meet the devil inside, our understanding of what we see. In Western philosophy we are trained to believe in anything we see and what we don't see does not exist unless seen for the first time. On the contrary in Eastern philosophy we prefer to believe in anything we feel, even if we see nothing at all. Now it comes - the question on what is meant to be real. Those players that believe in anything they see in the ending through the eyes of the played figure, taking the hologram child or the landing of the preferred team members on a planet elsewhere for real or e.g. the justification dialogue between the three possible variants of Shepard's Me, end up with statements like 'this is shit', they simply have to cos they see patchwork that doesn't match the expectations that are founded in the plot. But what is with those that have learned to follow their feelings, digging for the ostensive behind the apparent in a kind of twilight zone? Well they might feel the inner conflict Shepard is trying to solve and attempts to get final answers by somebody or something strange involved in his dreams before ending up with a last picture of ultimate hope that against all logic at least those he loves might survive somehow somewhere in space... for he himself would not, drawn by the makers as a hallucinating death candidate with a shot in the stomach. And the gripes is what these players get.
The understanding of what is real and what isn't directly leads to the score given by the players. And most players are born into Western philosophy, the makers of the ending apparently aren't.
If I'm right or wrong we'll see in the upcoming DLC, not before.
Till then, have a nice day in space.

This is an impressive illusion. Haven't seen people scating away on the thin ice of their childish anger for long. No analysis of the Mass Effect ending to be seen thus far, just a less productive grumbling. And I'd indeeed change the contra-caricaturing sig, GSBModders for it's out of harmony with your argument.

I sense much hope in you guys, hope for the worse. And that's destructive. You don't won't to make BioWare even more pissed off as they are already, do you?

On Freedom of Speech, a recognized human right. You're still human, guess so.
Where again is Speaker's Corner located? Right, in Darkling's homeland. That means one and the same jurisdiction, UK jurisdiction, no matter where the Nexus file servers are located or where the moronic auxiliaries that apparently can talk to others only with a loaded gun may live or not. Bad News at any US tea party - that known "assuming direct control"-thingy doesn't work, not even under US jurisdiction, though the ongoing indoctrination of the Nexus members actually does, result of constant pressure. Well, it's up to the members to get remote-controlled or not, every good man is free. Our task is simply to minimize the collateral damage when the Nexus collapses like other gas giants before.

I know not what "freedom of speech" is or was ever supposed to mean.
I believe in being responsible for what I say' date=' always and anywhere.

The freedom of speech is the guarantee that I don't pulverize you already after the first alien quack. An utmost coherent mechanism.
A lot' date=' my friend. Unless proven by your Nexus pseudonym which would enable us to see who you really are, I don't take arguments on the Nexus seriously.

I don't have to prove anything to you,who do you think you are?
I'm the one that teaches you a missed lesson, with all respect due to your age. Don't judge ever again about things like the Nexus you have absolutely no idea of. You can do it better, hopefully. And you have to next time.
Regading the Nexus you should know that whatever is said or is still left to say about the site has to pass the filter of my long-standing experience, at least as long as I am interested.

You don't get it, Gandalf, cos you're actually not yet involved, or what is your pseudonym on the Nexus again, hmm?

If u deem well of that frakkin' site - actually u confuse the products of all of us with the platform to present them, taking the packing for more important than the content inside - I really don't want to know what kind of site u deem ill of.

Free speech, the exchange of information and connections was the reason for the existence of the mentioned mod hosting site, the vessel that is to be filled first with stuff the site owner does not own. I really don't know what drugs you guys are on but virtual dictatorship is not the concept of public forums and it didn't gave birth to the Nexus either, for otherwise none of you would ever have heard of it - it simply wouldn't exist! It is obvious that you have no idea of the funny nonpolitical beginning and the less funny political course the site has adopted over the years. What you believe is normal for present is in fact the very reverse, result of an onging indoctrination process to convince you of a restrictive control by violent folk, to agree to mental disenfranchisement.
If you think now that the he who rejects total control might leave the site... not even that is possible, he remains member forever cos only the increase in numbers counts in the money making business. And the Nexus keeps sight on its member numbers...

Bullshit. It was from the get-go and still is a public community, not a private one.
The owner owns the platform, that's all and it does not include ownership of the community members or their individual opinions. Without public interest the Nexus is just an empty vessel and I doubt that I'd ever again agree to an invitation to support 'a good idea' that ends up as a frakkin' bad one after a decade...

No, free speech is a rational mechanism of communication in public communities that aren't terrorized by irrational wannabe tyrants that think of themselves as immune to pressure, which they are not as you'll see soon cos as long as the Nexus is a public platform the enforced gag rule to prevent any form of criticism falls beyond the pale and gets answered by taking appropriate steps.
Let's talk about obsesssions first after the own banishment cos own experience makes it much easier to grasp the true nature of the Nexus.
To get banned one just has to talk freely for a while. Isn't a big whoop, is it?

The OP was about trolls.
And the theme is the Nexus.
0 -
It's not about trolls. If if were only that simple. Everybody that has a different opinion is a troll, right?
In fact it's all about the hard-won right of free speech and the definite loss of it... by force.

What kind of deadly end prophesied by Shepard already in the prologue to ME:3 does the series actually deserve, hmm?
