    Oh my gosh Defeat was updated! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY LIFE! PANIC! DELP! I guess I know what I'll be doing this whole weekend now. Let's see if I can break it XD If you're using NMM, you can simply install manually and not have to deal with installation errors. Otherwise switching to MO will probablish be better for you in the long term.

    Ummm hai thar! I just updated the mod to 2.71! "OH MY GOSH DEVIOUS CAPTURES GOT UPDATED, WHAT MIGHT THE NEW STUFF BE?" I can hear you asking... Well! It's really hype actually! You'll love that! Please better get a seat! I... changed one line in the code. It turns out that once upon a time my brain derped really hard and it thought that Bra=Armbinder was a totally reasonable equation. As the direct result: you would get bras instead of armbinders if armbinder equip procced during any event. Aren't you happy you have competent and attentive modders like me? It only took me like 3 months to notice and fix that!
  4. Paid Modding is gone.

    As a PR student I kinda feel compelled to play devil's advocate for Valve and Bethesda but at the same time I also have to criticise the fact that they seemed to be so surprised by the community's reaction. While they had an interesting idea I feel like they failed every step of the way when it came to implementation. If I had been in charge of the project I probably would have started with something less... blunt. Like forexamplish holding an official modding contest where the winning mods would be released by Beth/Valve as cheap DLC. Neverwinter Nights once did something similar and it worked. Or something like that, and then go from there with little baby steps... But nuh, there was no gradual easing the community into the idea, no limited scope experimentation, seemingly no regard for similar debacles in the past (The Sims) and just the horrible timing. Whose idea was it to change the rules of a 3 year old modding scene overnight? Suddenly dumping the full extent of paid modding on a community that had never ever been exposed to it guarantees a horrible backlash with scientific certainty. But for all the laziness, greed and shortsightedness of the companies involved, I think in this whole mess their faults actually look childishly innocent compared to the disgusting behaviour of both modders and users on both sides of the conflict. After seeing all the silly extremes they went to: pulling out previously free mods and/or retroactively implementing weird DRM measures, witholding source code, stealing and monetising other peoples' mods, charging exorbitant prices on one side... and spamming comment sections, harassing and shaming premium modders privately and publicly, pirating premium mods and probably other awful things I'm happily not aware of on the other... It was the first time I felt so ashamed to be a part of the TES modding community. When everyone suddenly started showing their true faces and doing horrible things to each other I seriously felt like this was a bad dream and I just wanted to wake up. Right now I'm happy I did. Despite their ill conceived idea and inexcusably bad implementation the greedy corporations actually come out of this as the good guys because they were smart enough to put an end to this so quickly and so decisively. It will probably take some time for things to go back to normal and I'm sad that some damage will not be easy (if at all possible) to repair but I'm hoping we have all learned something from this and the next time something this controversial happens everyone will be able to deal with it... better somehow?

Oksies this idea is awful. Call me after you've fired the con artist in charge of this and you're actually serious about financial cooperation with modders Valve <3

    It shouldn't be. All operations are handled during Defeat events. Captures doesn't directly interact with any DA features and doesn't do anything that would cause race conditions with it.

  9. UNPB xinafay High Heels Conversion View / Download File This is my conversion of xinafay shoes to UNPB. The feet textures use UNP compatible UV map and meshes have a working weight slider. So far this conversion contains: Ballet heels (red and black, with straps and strapless + barefoot) High heels (red and black, with straps and strapless + barefoot) Thigh high boots Slave heels Stilts Pony boots What's left to do: Ultra high heels (and its barefoot variant) "Low" heels All of my conversions are based on UNP Topmodel conversion by idontkn0w123! So it's really conversion of a conversion ^^ My work is mostly creating weight sliders, fixing clipping and correcting small errors. I'm doing this to learn using 3Ds Max so I can (hopefully) start making my own custom outfits in the future! n_~ Not all shoes from xinafay's pack have been finished yet. I will start working on "low" heels and ultra high heels once their Topmodel versions are available.     I recommend Nightasy's 3DS Max tutorials, it's what I used to learn Skyrim modelling. The tutorials are very comprehensive and targeted at people who have no prior experience with these things. They'll teach you everything you need to know about editing meshes to your liking and creating new ones. Along with with complex but essential thingies like weight painting and stuffs. After like a week of practice you should be able to do whatever you want with DD meshes! (Or at least know how to, actually being good and artsy about it takes way more time)   But making the gems bigger is very basic: you just select the right vertices, scale the object up and then adjust the position to compensate.   I'm really awful at explaining stuffs, you're better off watching the tutorials n_n

    Set "Armbinder/Yoke chance" to 100 and "Yoke vs Armbinder proportion" to 0 and try again.   When you see an option that says "Something vs Something proportion" that means the value refers to the first Something ^^   It's explained better in the mouseover tooltip of that option.

    It's more complicated than that. Many devices interact with SL animation selection (mostly by blocking certain kinds and using substitutes). Trying to equip a device at the same time it would usually try to override animations would either not work or cause a race condition that would confuse Skyrim and crash it or worse. And since it's Skyrim: "worse" is probablish more likely.

    It is technically possible if you want to rewrite DC scripts and move the triggers to different sexlab hooks but I don't recommend it. I specifically put it at the end to avoid race conditions between SL animation selection and DD device initialisation and animation override.
  20. DD For Him hasn't been updated to the current version of DD yet, it's the most likely source of display and slot related issues right now.

    It probably will work since I didn't use any functions from that version but I always recommend the version of SKSE that I had installed when compiling my scripts.

If it involves tracking and adjusting anything in real time you can forget about it ^^ Skyrim's script engine chokes up and dies even if you try to run a simple operation once a second and it is not even capable of running one every frame (which would be ideal) outside of hardcoded conditions (not scriptable)   Soooooo having an object move simultanously with the player and facing the same relative direction right now is impossible. The game may have come out in 2011 but the engine was primitive and outdated even back then. I'm not sure but I think they've been using the same old thing since Morrowind.
