    Every mod I made, the Naver mods, all of them were deleted by MediaFire. They sent me notices about copyright violations for MP3s and song titles I never heard of - there weren't even any MP3's in my account, just 7z files. MF really fucked me because I changed computers around that time, those were my only backups. I was so disgusted I got out of the scene for a long time, quit playing Skyrim.


     


    Unless someone else has copies, these are gone. Sorry people.

    I'm kind of a etymology nut and I can say with certainty that 'modify' comes from Latin, modificare "to limit, measure off, restrain," from modus "measure, manner.

    There's no 'alter' as in the common, English usage. It's a bastardization of the word, even in the context of 'modding',

    More suitable words would have a root derived from adapt, adjust, amend, change, diversify, doctor, metamorphose, modify, mutate, ecalibrate, recast, reconstruct, refashion, reform, remodel, renovate, reshape, revamp, revise, shift, transform, transmute, turn, etc.

    I mean, if we're going to get technical.

    Use a SSD for your main C:\ drive for Win7x64. For 'storage' drives, (games, movies, music, etc.) use old platter discs. They're plenty fast enough.


     


    Disable your page file (set it to 0mb, seriously) and watch it fly.

    As for whatever is 'going down here', well, the shitnados are cyclical and make the rounds. Granted, I've been out of the scene for a while but I do know it doesn't matter where you go or what you do, there's gonna be douches.


     


    My advice is to simply do one's part by not being one of them.

    Quite a while ago, some fuss was kicked up over another site called navercafe. Some of you may have heard of it. At the time, their attitude was 'you guys suck and can't have our swag' well, we all know how that worked out. Many of the more successful and 'underground' mods found a good home here. Mine included. Take all the silly posturing out of the mix and you gotta ask yourself, why does anyone mod? So you can jerk off to yout fanbase? By that logic, you may want to spam it all over. But then support becomes a hassle. Nah, LL has been more mature and truer to the fanbase than any of the other more 'mainstream' alrernatives.


     


    Just remember, kids.. We're all exiles here, we gotta get along so knock it off with the bitching and get busy contributing something worthwhile because anything else is just more of the same bullshit we all came here to avoid in the first place.
