This is looking more and more muddled and unnecessarily complicated with each update. But it's whatever. As long as I can toggle off the addiction shit and make a goddamn health potion with wheat and horse cum, I'll be happy with it.

Where Can I Find...? - Non-adult Skyrim REQUESTS
Jexsam replied to DoctaSax's topic in Skyrim Non Adult Mods
That's not at all what I meant, but I'm glad you linked it! I forgot it existed and I think I can come up with a few things I can do with it. Thanks! I'm looking more for things like actual tattoos and/or body paint, though. Things along the same lines as what I said I already have. Preferably for something with a UNP UV map. -

I'm seeking lore-friendly-ish Racemenu overlays for the body that aren't KJ's Lore Tattoos, the Merta tattoos, or The Coenaculi stuff. -
Daredevil, hands down. Though I didn't watch much else so take that as you will.

It's almost like they're a major group of races in the game or something...

More Creature Animations (26 Nov 2015 - Dwarven Spiders)

I support the idea of a wispmother perfoming fellatio animation, but really anything will do. Dwemer would be amazing but the lack of equipment could be troubling. -

You're doing God's work, son. That said, I wasn't sure about just how bad the tentacle issue with netches would be but these really illustrate just how weirdly rigid they are. Still, you did a great job working around it with some of those poses. I'm curious to see how these work out in-game. Godspeed. Question: When you get to boars, do you intend to try to also do an animation of a boar with a Reiklig mounted on its back? I just think it'd be hilarious. -
Could it be on your end? I can see the pictures fine, and nobody else has mentioned a problem like that.

Lighting was my first thought exactly when I looked at these later. She's not lit in a way that distinguishes her from the background, so she kind of... blends in to the picture. The light from the levitation thingy frames her head well enough to separate her from the background, IMO, but it doesn't do the image much good. The framing irritates me in all kinds of ways, too. I can't really put my finger on it but the proportions of how everything is spaced feels wrong. The crates to the right are boring compared to the magic-in-a-cage on the left, but those aren't particularly well-placed either. The way her body is arced almost makes it feel like there's a fisheye lens effect on, but only on her.

Here's a fun exercise. This is a bad screenshot - okay, two, technically, but the only difference is the position of the camera at the time the pic was taken. Semantics! The point is, I want you guys to tell me everything that's wrong with them in your opinion. This is effectively carte blanche to take a bad shot and tear it apart. Offer advice or constructive comments if you want, but this is more about dissecting a bad image than trying to improve it. I'm curious to see what happens. I only ask you refrain from critiquing the character herself - she's a gift from a close friend, very special to me. For that reason, in this specific character's case, I'd prefer you refrain from talking shit about her. (You can say whatever you want about any of my other characters, idgaf.) NSFW, nudity Have at'em.

Fallout 4! In like 4 1/2 months, its real.
Jexsam replied to Gameplayer's topic in Fallout 4 General Discussion
I read it less as "I want it all and I want it now" than "they did a shit job with this and it could be done a lot better". Silly restrictions or lack thereof in silly places. Blocked access content is all well and good, if it's done right. Blocking off a guild because of lack of skill in that guild's primary skill set? Great implementation! Items or locations blocked off by things that actually require skills you lack? Great! But there's no reason werewolves should be locked out behind joining the Companions, and there's no reason certain doors with certain word walls should be locked just because you haven't progressed that far in a quest line without a sensible explanation beyond "this lock requires a certain key to unlock". Say, you have to use a super spell to move a boulder to get to a word wall within, but that event is only triggered a certain way through the mages' guild. It's perfectly plausible why a warrior or thief couldn't move the ten-ton boulder. But just locking the door, as is most often the case in Skyrim, is lazy and stupid. -
Asian law allowing kids age 14 or higher to consent to sex doesn't mean they aren't kids, it just means it isn't illegal. 14 is too goddamn young for anyone to be making the kinds of decisions and choices sex involves on an informed, mature level. Just because the laws allow for it and the culture doesn't stigmatize it doesn't mean it's not stupid.

I honestly worried about that inclusion. It felt like a tie-in that would open up side content, something you see once to tease you but will only see again if you're thorough. So at every stage past that point I was analyzing what people were saying and looking for hints that might lead me to other places where he might show up for some shenanigans.

Yeah I see that weirdly harsh shadow under her lip, too. Thing is, to the best of my ability to tell, that's a texture issue more than a mesh issue. I smoothed it over as well as I could without, at least to me, making it overly flat. I'll take another look at it sometime but after the first two attempt failed I'd sort of resigned myself to it. Keep in mind I'm not using a fancy high-poly head mesh, so some of those polys sticking out more than they should might be largely unavoidable. As for the jawline comments, I'll see what I can do, but I'm afraid doing that will edge her more towards sameface syndrome.

What is Purple Poser and where can I find it? -
Eireya Kalmorn, Thalmor scout. Looking for feedback related directly to her face, but really, anything relating directly to her would be welcome. Rip'er apart. They'd've been here faster but when you're not in the mood to take screenshots, you're just not in the mood. :\

What's the point of a criticism thread if I'm just going to get ganged up and shat on for offering criticism? Do I have to start every post with huge red bold letters spelling out "OPINION"? Please, elaborate. Are you seeing a pattern regarding how I use space in my shots? Something I could address in future pictures? Full disclosure, I pretty specifically picked the best examples from my library I could find, since it doesn't do anyone any good to show mediocre examples when trying to demonstrate how good something can look. Most of my work falls short of the mark set by those, something I try to mitigate, but they can't all be winners. Also, have you considered trying to do stitches? I can't help but notice in your first pic that there's a lot of dead space to either side of her, but otherwise there's nothing technically wrong with the shot. I don't take a lot of full body shots to avoid that exact problem, but I don't spend as much time making my characters a visual spectacle. Full body shots like that first pic would absolutely benefit from a tighter focus on the character, and a horizontal stitch would absolutely provide it. They're just a pain in the ass to do, or so I hear. The middle two would make fantastic desktop wallpapers, and that last one is beautifully composed all around. Only thing I might suggest is just zooming in slightly closer, to cut out a bit more of the window sill and make her face a little larger and clearer. ~~~ I'll be tossing something to the wolves here before too long, so if you've been itching for a chance to rip me apart, you'll get it. I welcome it - I don't criticize like I do expecting others not to dish it back as hard as I dish it out.

I stated an opinion, offered feedback, and offered an alternative way to try to make it work better. Even if you disagree with my exact phrasing, nothing I've said has been outside the bounds of this thread's intent. I pretty explicitly stated in that post that I was stating opinion, not fact, so I'm not sure why I'm having to explain this.

The centered element isn't the character herself, but rather the point at which she grips the blade of the sword with her gloved hand, the eye drawn to that point by the sun. She stands with sky behind her, framed by tree limbs from just out of frame to the left and more distant trees in the middle ground to the right, topped off by the bluish-white background against her slightly orange-lit armor contrasting and making her stand out.

If I had one critique to level against Shermie, it would be the same one I'd level against NeonFirefly - cartoon-style proportions do not mix with super-realistic body textures and normals. Simplest fix would just be to find a flatter, more plastic texture with a normal map that doesn't, or at least minimally, show pores and veins. It's ugly and jarring, two disparate styles that just don't work together. The caveat is, cartoonish textures look out of place in Skyrim's more realistic environment, so it's sort of a no-win situation for cartoonish characters. Still, better to go all out with the animu than try to balance the looks and wind up worse for it. In all the screenshots I've seen here, I've never seen one I can recall that's really nailed the mix. NeonFirefly used to be better about it, but then he "improved" his body of choice and it all just went to hell. :\ All of that, of course, is just an opinion, not a statement of fact. @Shermie: Black outfit on black background is a bad idea. Your Nod looks like she has no hands, and would look like she had no waist if not for the belt on her shorts. The shot is also split in two, but it works in this case since she has a sense of symmetry, broken up just enough to be interesting by her tilted head and and slightly askew hips/legs. Definitely the better of the two. Top shot of the black-clad girl isn't horrible, but her posture combined with the full body shot leaves little in the way of points of interest for the eye to be drawn to. She also splits the image in two, but there isn't the pleasing sense of symmetry there to make that work, and with the mountain so painfully out of focus, it doesn't add anything but a grey splotch. I love the idea of this thread and may throw something to the wolves later, but mostly it's making me want to do another tutorial-esque write-up of some photography tricks and tips. I feel like presuming my input in the matter will hold weight is a bit... arrogant, though. Should I submit some stuff here first and see if people think they're good enough to warrant spilling my tips?

Well I think he's asking if you're planning on keeping the beast content in the future to a single location so the player doesn't have to run all over Skyrim to get to beast content. I think he's missed the intention of the mod.
