  1. Electro house warning!

Fukkk Offf has some mean beats! Added a Pandora radio station with it' date=' thanks!

I was listen to this which is kind of light in comparison but it's more universally liked, maybe. So far 5,620 likes and only 245 dislikes on YouTube, so we're all loving it.

  2. Jeeja Yanin, one of my favorite martial artists and woman of over 20 years in age in this photo also takes offense to being called prepubescent, just see the rage, dare call her flat chested or not curvy enough:

    2009_chocolate_002.jpg

Not sure of her height, but if you watch Chocolate (one of my favorite films, btw) you'll see that she is tiny short compared to the men she kicks ass against. And if you watch the out-takes, you'll see she can even really hurt those guys with one kick.

  3. the reaper man has an exellent point.

sapien' date=' as for the "itty-bitty-titty-committees" you refer to, an off topic point of hilarity.

I read in the news earlier this year that apparently in Australia now, it's illegal to make a-cup porno because it's 'too close to child porn'

    [/quote']

Yes, GrimReaper has also been making some good points, so I haven't felt the need to confuse anyone by switching gears and adding to it. It's along lines I've followed in the past, but he's prolly doing a better job anyway.

Plus, yes, I'm actually just hitting it directly by following my own sexual attraction to women who are, well, so attractive.

Interesting proposal you make in this thread about what if Skyrim were just more immersive, meaning natural and that clothes could come off of anyone. Would that then be illegal. If yes, then life should be illegal. Well, at least outlaw having kids who might be born without clothing. God must had been a pedophile.

And that it sadly hilarious about porn in Australia being illegal if the women of age look like they are underage!!!

  4. On the note of knowing what 'prepubescant' means' date=' I do believe it litterally means 'before puberty'. In the case of a female body, before the full development of breasts, curvy hips, and an adult female shape. You know, something like this:

    [/color']WARNING: NUDITY

    new-loli-skin.jpg

This was taken directly off the thread 'children of the sky', post #1419. Do you suppose you could confuse this for anything but 'prepubescant'?

Dude, I'm playing with the mod, so I know what they look like. With the blonde hair, she kinda reminds of an ex-gf who was many years beyond puberty. You do know that many women shave, right?

You can't tell or presume to know, especially in a cartoon game involving a magical race. Post a pic with her ID proving her age! Then, I'll be like, wow, I thought she was hot, thanks for the headsup.

  5. In the readme for Children of the Sky, it says something about deleting the older version which was called OrientalRace. So it really does seem like the name was intended, like I said, as a play on the Nord's being children of the sky in the lore of the game, as well being a replacement of the children in Skyrim, and just being another race dropped in by the gods.

Sidenote: Today, while on a walk to the store in real life, I walked passed my usual Korean store clerk on her way out and really noticed how short and petite she was, only up to my shoulders (and I'm short already) and quite flat chested too. She's pretty hot, too, though married.

  6. I completely agree with Trykz on the matter of Fantasy vs. Reality' date=' and that Pedophiles will act on their impulses regardless of mods. I suppose that my perspective is simply: 'regardless of age of the ashen/fairy/god/vampire/child, the visual component is still the same. It's a nude child body portrayed in these mods. Babette may be a vampire child, hundreds of years old, but the fact remains that she still has the BODY of a child and thus taps into base arousal of a pre-pubescant girl'.

Call the 'children of the sky' whatever you want, but the fact remains... these are humanoid creatures with pre-pubescant bodies. Allowing nudity in these kinds of mods, is advocating sexual arousal of child-like attributes. The dictionary defines 'Pedophile' as an person with a sexual desire for children. It's as simple as that.

I ask again: Would the mod be invalidated or worse off if nudity were removed/condemned?

    [/quote']

I'm not sure you know what prepubescent means.

I'm also quite certain there are lots of women who appreciate that some of us guys really like their petite forms, even the ones in the itty-bitty-titty-committees, who will hopefully not feel the need to conform using breasts implants or wearing high heels all of the time, both of which I personally hate.

And, to answer your question directly, yes, I think this mod wouldn't be as good if it somehow prevented nudity or blocked sexy armor. Like I said, Ashen can be sexy, hot, and desirable creatures!

  7. Technically speaking, the Children of the Sky mod REPLACES children with a new race of beings called Ashen, then allows you to play as one. The title is just a play on words, borrowing from the lore of the Nords being called the "Children of the Sky". Very clever.

So I was wrong calling them fairies or elves. And the OP was wrong calling them children. They are Ashen! Get it straight.

It works with vanilla armors, too, as well as armors on Steam Workshop that I've tried. Today, I was switching armors and did remove everything to have a look while using UNP... very nice, indeed. Ashen can be hot! The x117 has always been my fav and scaling them down just makes them so damn cute! (Again, as I've said before, I'm a scaled down guy in real life, only 5'6" and 125 lbs, so these are my ideal women/race. Although, come to think of it, my own size shouldn't matter. I've seen big guys marry petite girls and that's totally kewl too.)

  8. "Children of the Sky" is a phrase borrowed from the lore of Skyrim in reference to the Nords but was cleverly expanded when dropping in another race using the child models as a basis. It doesn't necessarily mean kids. It could be offspring of any gods.

I finally tried the CofS mod, today, after all of this advertising (thanks!) and do really like it. They remind me of fairies or even elves as they should be.

I'm a feather weight in RL and short. Most Japanese guys are even taller than me. I'm closer to the size of Bruce Lee (Chinese) and just feel like everyone in Skyrim is giant while playing my usual Breton. This CofS helps level sizes down for me, adding more variety least so I don't have to always be a Breton. I know, I could play as a taller person and don't really know why I always gravitate to smaller, more petite people other than they match me in RL better. LOL, most of my girlfriends have been taller than me, though I have also had girlfriends that are over 18 and better match the CofS mod race!

  9. Yeah, people do certainly freakout!

I did answer your question. I brought up Avatar because I thought maybe this mod could be used to play as a young character. I didn't get it to work so can't say for sure. Then you implied that it might allow for your character to be nude while imagining your character is underage, if you removed your armor while playing as really young. My response was two part. One, a naked child is quite normal, natural, and should not be immediately deemed an object of sexual desire. Two, it seems this mod is not meant for making playable children anyway; it's meant for turning the child model into a more adult model.

    2

  10. I couldn't get it to work. Oh well.

zippy57, naked kids are just naked kids. But, anyways, according to the readme:

The Childs will have your current default adult body. Installing the Optional body mesh will replace your default body with one that has a much smaller emalebody_0.nif and a well proportioned femalebody_1.nif resulting in the ability to go from flat/skinny for child races to ample for adults.

So it sounds like it was intended to make the child characters into adults, perhaps petite adults. I suppose it could be used to make young adult girls with breasts who are imagined to be underage and then used with another mod to make them do sexual things, but, seriously, banning this for what others might do while using other mods? Have you ever used a 3D app like Poser which comes with nude models, including children? Would you deem that app illegal because of what it could be used for? Hey, let's just ban Skyrim for including children in the first place.

  11. I just watched all of American made cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender, all 3 seasons over the last two weeks or so, which is now one of my favorite series in any genre for all time. But according to a few posters here, the series should be illegal. Many of the girls had breasts! OMG! And did you see some of their outfits! Remember Katara in a swimsuit or when Tosh accidentally kissed an older girl!

    Yeah, people need to chill.

But if it were up to me, I'd post this thread in the regular non-adult download section. Why is it in the adult section? The title and section seem to contradict one another, no?

Edit: Maybe it's meant to allow for making petite or smaller adults, given that it adds breasts, or just to allow for young adults and realism in that regard and which ever is up left up to the user. I've no problem with that. We can't allow for our fear of some users permit us to ban things like Avatar.

    That is freaking epic!!!

According to US law a penny "is" legal tender so they "have" to accept it. Samsung freaking rules!!!! :P

Someone else posted that here on LL somewhere already, but I can't remember where. Anyway, you know it's not real, right?

  13. i dont know why you ppl seem so angry with the game to me is a beautiful game the ending well i didnt completely liked it because' date=' in the entire game im giving hope and doing impossible things like curing genophage and unifying the geth with the quarian, kind of things, but i had to sacrifice myself to do the right thing i didnt like that, i believe synthetic and organics can live in peace why the sacrifice. and the multiplayer is fun trying new characters is fun especially if you have friends and i have always prefer survivals than boring player vs player

p.s. haven't finished leviathan yet, but hoping that i can just kill or befriend the reapers without killing myself

    [/quote']

It's complicated, to say the least. Liking it or disliking it is not really something to argue with logic; that's something we do to justify our likes or dislikes, normally. I really liked it and the whole series, reflecting back, and each one was better than previous in my mind. I even thought the endings got better each time.

Also, I'm not so sure the message was ever meant to be that organics and synthetics will always fight. I kind of think it was more like organics will always fight other organics and with synthetics unless groups can learn to come together. But, then again, I also think the writers did an excellent job of not forcing any single overall message. So, in the end, you could go with how you thought it should be. I chose the Control option so I could be like the Avatar (from the Last Airbender series not the Cameron movie), restoring balance and order and using my ultimate power only to fight those who would otherwise rule. So I totally loved my Avatar-like ending.

  14. ringgold99, I'm not sure what you're getting at. It seems like you've actually already answered your own challenge/question about this thread and the two sites. It's not that the rules are so different. Both sites operate under the same US laws. What's different is in how those rules are interpreted and carried out. You said so your self that it's the moderators over at Nexus that suck, not their rules. Isn't that we've been saying here in this thread?

  15. Oh' date=' and the OP's linked to article was just updated after a lot of nasty messages and the interviewed Frank Gibeau saying a little more to try and clarify.

    [/quote']

Clearly ea is deserving of the steaming pile of shit award they got this year. They also clearly need some help hiring folks with even a basic understanding of gaming for their upper echelon staff. The so called "clarification" was even more of a slap in the face than the original statement. What a bunch of tools.

But just imagine their hiring process! The trustees are probably too stupid to realize that a big time gamer should run the company, someone who is likely "unsuccessful" in RL and "waste" time gaming all day. Who is going to hire a 40 yr old virgin with no business experience?

I'm also thinking the online push is really a move away from pirating.

Actually on my end this is perfectly fine' date=' perhaps not on your end though. In your case, your CPA/CPL(consumer protection laws/act) needs to be updated to reflect this. For me, it doesn't matter. If a company decides to pull this, it doesn't matter they still have to legally provide me a copy of the game. And actually there have been several cases of companies pulling their games off steam already. But the copies you have remain indefinitely, they can't pull them.

The only danger of digital is weak laws, or laws that have failed to keep pace with technology and in turn, fail to protect the consumers adequately.

Now just think though, those physical copies you have? What happens to all those versions that use a CDkey check for their authentication(DRM check) every time you start, and those auth servers get shut down? You're in the same boat. Really, there's no difference between the two, none at all. You can say buying a physical copy is protection but if they yank those auth servers, you're in no better shape. In fact, you're in worse shape, because defeating the authentication(via a crack) is a harsher crime, than pirating a 'legally owned copy'. But that's going rather far out of the discussion.

    [/quote']

I hate physical discs. Can I say that? I really hate the sounds they make in my disc tray, aside from having to walk around and handle stuff in order to do something that should be digital.

And you make a good point about having to authenticate anyway.

One day, soon, it will be hard to find a disc drive anyway. At that time, any games still playable will be super cheap anyway if you really want to get it again, in pure digital form, if not free.

And, we all know, having the physical disc doesn't mean you "own" it anymore than having the digital version. It's always just a fair use thing, not actual ownership.

  16. But changing gears' date=' I'm fucking pissed at BioWare for selling to EA. That's my WTF moment. There was no reason to do so, as far as I can tell, since BioWare was on the rise as a successfully independent developer.[/quote']

I have no actual knowledge but it could well have been the usual way companies get sold for 'no good reason'.

They approach the current shareholders and make them a fine, short term offer. Shareholders sell, trot off to the bank and the company transfers ownership. Happens all the time.

    Cadburys was acquired that way.

Edit: Wasn't far wrong by the looks of it. They bought 'VG Holding Corp', which owned Bioware, from it's shareholders. Capitalism can be viscous, short term, and to the detriment of many at times.

Elevation Partners invested $300 million, then turned around and sold it to EA for $860 million 2 years later. And get this: The CEO of EA is one of Elevation Partners' founders! John Riccitiello!

Oh, and the OP's linked to article was just updated after a lot of nasty messages and the interviewed Frank Gibeau saying a little more to try and clarify.

  17. Regardless of whether another department or even entirely separate company work on it' date=' it still wastes both time and money. ME3 having multiplayer does impact the single player experience because someone from bioware (multiple someones is probably more accurate) had to sit down and write all the tie in coding. Then to make it worse, you actually had to play multiplayer to "get the best ending" which caused a bunch of rage as they had promised that the two were NOT tied together in that fashion. Thankfully, the EC and other patches made this particular problem go away.

I see no logical way to tie any kind of multiplayer to DA3 and any attempt to do so will only serve to siphon money away from the single player experience. This of course, they can't afford after the poor showing they had with DA2. I "could" see a coop mode but not a true multiplayer.

It would have made more sense to have multiplayer for DA1 where there was a full on blight going on.

Some games are really meant to be single player only and to add multiplayer means cutting the budget of the single player experience.

As to the thought process that being under EA means a bigger budget.....I don't think that is accurate at all. Perhaps they had a bigger "marketing budget" but certainly not a bigger development one. They did just fine making ME and ME2 and ME3 doesn't offer any more wiz bang in the graphics department than the other two. If anything steps were taken to force you into smaller, narrower, playable corridors and then slap in 2D backgrounds. Plus under EA they had pressure to get the product out the door.

Now if a game lends itself to multiplayer or even MMO, I am fine with that. Just don't force a square peg in a round hole.

Agree or disagree but I think blanket statements like the one that this ass wipe from ea makes are ridiculous and show just how out of touch they are with pc gamers.

    [/quote']

It's hard not to agree, especially since I don't play any multiplayer or online games. But I didn't care about ME3 multiplayer and that "best ending" was what exactly? I never missed it and preferred things without it anyway.

I don't really know any details of their budgets, marketing costs, etc or if they hire more to do more so that they make more or not.

But changing gears, I'm fucking pissed at BioWare for selling to EA. That's my WTF moment. There was no reason to do so, as far as I can tell, since BioWare was on the rise as a successfully independent developer. That's where I start to suspect the real wickedness behind EA. Did EA somehow strong-arm BioWare, threaten them, send thugs. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the gaming industry is quickly becoming as mafia-like as Hollywood and that BioWare was never really given an honest choice.

I love consoles. I can play comfortably in my room' date=' with a handy controller, my PS3 is way cheaper than this laptop, and all the other benefits draw me to play on consoles. While PC games might look better or run better, I have the bonus of comfort with consoles, which PCs can't provide.

    [/quote']

See, I guess I am just old school, because consoles to me are only comfortable or sports or racing games. For all other things they blow chunks for me. They are awkward and clumsy, as I have always been a keyboard & mouse guy. Over the years I have never yet found that a controller player can do diddly against a keyboard\mouse setup. I am sure this is just the crowd\circles that I run in but that has been my experience.

Of course, the fairly high end gaming pc that I have, along with surround sound and a 24 monitor (and my 55" sony bravia when I am playing RTS stuff) are probably coloring my perception on this. Frankly I love PC gaming with its flexibility and the ability of installing mods. My PS3 is green with envy of how much time I spend playing on my PC.....:P

    Different strokes for different folks.

Oh, back on topic....EA sucks hairy balls! :D

I was the same, if not more so. I've never had a modern console, so I had no skills with controllers and any time I tried for a few minutes with a friend, I'd be wasting time just trying to remember what the buttons were called with my eyes spending too much time looking at the controller and not the screen. But then I started having problems with my mouse hand from being on my computer too much. Bad habits, bad posture, pains, and shakes. A friend had bought me a controller to use with my PC some time back that I finally dusted off and set out to master. Long/short of it, I now use the controller for everything on my PC except typing. Since it's my daily desktop mouse, I've even gotten pretty precise with it. Funny, me, who used to argue with that friend who bought me the controller about superior uber-micro with mouse/keyboard, now gets mad when a game doesn't have native support for my controller and I have to program it myself because I'd rather not have to resort to using my mouse/keyboard!

Today, I wouldn't say one is better than the other for all games across the board. I certainly wouldn't play Starcraft with a controller. Also, a straight up shooter might have a slight aiming advantage with a mouse. But a game like Dragon Age 2 didn't click except with a controller. Sandbox games, especially with vehicles, or games like Batman and Assassin's Creed with lots of combat without shooting, make a lot more sense for me with a controller.

I once tried Skyrim with a keyboard/mouse and was appalled by the results. With a controller in Skyrim, I can move however I want at any speed, my favorite being slow motion while absorbing souls. A keyboard only has fixed speeds and no gradient of speeds; analog vs digital. I felt clunky, robotic, and couldn't enjoy Skyrim the same.

  18. I don't think console gaming is the culprit here' date=' as consoles have enough multiplayer-focused games for those that like that, I think it's simply some stupid mentality that dude has. I never understood the whole 'blame it on consoles' mentality, anyways.

    [/quote']

Agreed, and glad to see there's not a bunch of console bashing here! And I don't even own a console.

    [me jabbering]

Please what about knights of old republic? It supposed to be singleplayer game but guys at EA had better idea.

I didn't know that. Star Wars was ruined for me anyways tho after the last 3 films. I just want it to go away now.

It's not the fact that multi-player was added to games that were traditionally single player (like Mass Effect). If done right' date=' it can enhance the game (I personally think the multi-player component was fine in ME3). If he just said that he thought all games should have a m/p component, then I would attribute it to a brain fart. But this man is stating that he is proud that he has NOT geenlit ANY single-player games. So if someone approached him with the next morrowwind, baldur's gate, dragon age:origins, etc, he'd tell them to take a flying fuck because there was no m/p component. Or he would force them to add a m/p component just because HE wants it to have it, regardless of whether it's logical to be in the game. Take Dead Space. That game is about fear. So now you take a squad of your friends in to wipe out the bad guys. So now the game has gone from a fear-based game to Halo. It loses something essential with a m/p component. And it's not just the m/p, he has come right out and said that he basically want's to nickel and dime players with microtransactions. He has said this on multiple occasions. Also, do you think he'd allow/support modding the way Bethesda has? Hell no. He's going to stop that if he can, or find a way to charge everyone for it. Basically what I'm saying is that he has a vision, which is fine, except that his "vision" is hampered by self-imposed blinders.

    [/quote']

I guess what I meant was that it could all be true and our misgivings match things behind the scenes. But we're speculating when thinking that. We're taking a biased view and making a strong interpretation of what he actually said.

I would go further to say multi-player for ME3 breaks the overall theme of ME, too. The single players story with dialogue choices, character dev, pause function for combat, squad based commands, etc is all gone. That's no longer ME. But so long as BioWare basically outsources the dev of multi-player using EA's budget and other players enjoy it, I'm fine with it. I don't mind nickel and dime-ing the multi-player market to help pay for the multi-player budgeting of the game. That way, it's made even more separate from my own single player gaming. Then it also becomes more like an optional thing, something I can later opt in if I end up wanting to give it try.

I'm also sorry to the OP for my original attitude while trying to present another side. I still do appreciate the heads up and this lively thread. I'm just jealous when everyone jumps in on a political conspiracy involving gaming, taking the wickedly fun side and making it all juicy, but not in my non-gaming threads. :P

    0

  19. Seems like much ado about nothing.

I just played ME3 without ever touching multi-player. What do I care if they tack online components on for others who enjoy that? Without EA, BioWare would had just released the same single player experience. With EA, a bigger budget allowed for another department to work on multi player. So?

Also, the actual quotes don't sound like there can be no exceptions.

If they do DA3 like ME3, I'm okay with it. As long as bigger budgets and more departments are used to make the bigger games, as opposed to forcing the single player devs to just work overtime, it's kewl with me.

On the bright side to everyone who disagrees with me, if this all really spells out bad news, then the good news is that it will also mean the downfall of EA.

    0

  20. Well' date=' I broke weak and picked up Leviathan. I don't have time to play it until tomorrow however. About how long is the DLC?

    [/quote']

You beat me to it! Like I said, I'd only watched a walkthrough and only of the last few minutes with the talking to Leviathan. I'm kind of surprised you got it before me. I hadn't yet decided to purchase it or not.

Found a funny write up on the leviathan dlc that I thought you would enjoy. Now I seriously doubt you will "agree" with it' date=' but I still think you will enjoy the playful bantering style that he writes with:

    [/quote']

Yeah, not my sentiments. He writes a lot about hope as a theme, which seems to reflect his hope for different endings! I think resisting the writers' own story makes enjoyment harder.

Dude seems to have a mental block in place that prevents dude from getting the story. His discussion about "why?" is off the mark, I think, and demonstrates his resistance to the story. In the case of Leviathan, I thought the writers made everything explicit. Why did they create the Catalyst to solve their problem? Why is answered by their elitism. Why do royal bloodlines prefer having others do all hard work? Why were they feeling invincible? Why did they think they were superior and above the problem themselves? Why not just keep doing the hard management of crop themselves? It's a story of a race climbing to the top, high on its success, then being the source of its own demise.

    I suppose you can.

But I'm thinking more of their intent' date=' this is clearly a setup for Mass Effect 4.

What ending did you pick? Doesn't matter! Because these guys here will mess it all up and you have to fight them till Mass Effect 17 or something.

    [/quote']

It does seem like a setup for future ME's, as I also said. Or not. The more I think about it, the more I can't see any possible way to do a Mass Effect story that takes place after ME3 in the ME timeline. Maybe a spinoff in some alternate universe, but that's it. If one Shep ended with synthesis while another ended with failing to stop the Reapers, there's no bringing those together.

I really hope there is no ME4. Please, no. I want more BioWare games, hopefully a new franchise, but no more ME games.

    0

  21. Yeah, I can't get through a full game with the male Shep. He just annoys me in so many ways. While I'm in love with FemShep.

I think after going with control option and becoming that new Shep who speaks likes a more powerful Shep, indoctrination becomes much less likely. I'm still feeling pretty good about it.
