    Please, Inte, skyrimll has just been kind enough to agree to amend SD+ to make sure that it doesn't break DCL's quests by doing something similar (!), and that's apparently scheduled for release some time in the next few weeks

     

    I profess to know almost nothing about the technicalities of modding, but can you please see your way to using whatever similar methodology etc would result in this mod and, even if it's just a soft requirement, PO playing nicely, in the same way, with DCL too?  

     

    I have been putting off my next full gameplay for what is now months thinking that I was finally going to get it to run with all the best mods fully up to date, SD+, PO with 7b :lol:, and DCL 5.0, and all working together!  It would be so depressing to now have to drop PO out of that, despite everything really good that you have done to keep it alive and improve on it so much, because it's made a step backwards in this regard :(

     

    Here's hoping....  :D

     

     

     

    Um ... POP 7c will play nice with this mod.

    Keep a list of item ID that contain the key word. Then when running your script remove function, check each item you plan to remove against the list.

    The problem is you're going to be using a lot of CPU cycle each time, so i doubt it will be fast if someone adding a lot of quest items to their mod order. (after all, it's not using the devices that cause the problem, its having the mod installed)

     

    The equip outfit option does just that, it will make a form list of the items selected for the outfit and will add/remove only those items.

    The remove all DDs option ... um removes all the DDs currently worn.

  5. That function is way too slow, and it will clog things up.

    I do understand not wanting to remove devices because they will break quests (and it won't be any fun if DDs could be removed so easy - why bother with them then?), so I am working at an option to allow other mods to request a lockout of this mod's add/removal "features", but I would like to pool these requests -- so I'm trying to figure out how to do that. Also, I fear your un-removable armbinder.:blush:  

    About the "remove locked devices" feature, I think you're right, I might just remove that.

    Thanks for the update, I just did some jail time in Windhelm last night due to one of Kimy's slave collars (I'm not good at soliciting guards :) ) I'll try my luck in Riften now as they have a better class of cell there :D

     

    WOW, did not realize there were that many perks + perk levels. From what I am reading they have to be added/removed in order they were gained? Also, it seems that adding/removing perks might make Skyrim do strange things. I don't think its worth the aggravation.

    The addition of 'DD equip' is great, is there a chance it'll be extended to when one's PC is in jail? I still keep getting that texture bug on the normal restraints.

     

    Also I was wondering how difficult would it be to change the jailers outfit to the one worn by skryims noble executioners? It seems like a more appropriate outfit for our infamous  turn-key. 

     

    Problem with that is DDs do not have AP keywords - and such the AP does not see them. Weird things will happen like your PC running around with an armbinder on her back, and no hands. :lol:

  7. Hi all, I have a strange bug. I cannot make this mod work. each time I selected equip my PC just undress and nothing else happen.

     

    I've the last version of DD installed and every other mod link to DD work well.

     

    Make sure you have selected some devises in the MCM. Alternatively, you could hit "Make An All Black Ebonite Outfit" in MCM to make a quick outfit.

    Yes, I did get a report of the whip doing too much damage on low level PCs. If you do have a low level PC, keep the "Lowest Health to Stop Whipping" in MCM higher say, 90% ... should be ok then. Although I have to say, I did not test the parade scene all that much.  


     

    There is no API in Skyrim to detect perk levels, I don't think.  

     

    Probably not worth all the work but there is a console command to remove perks by ID. So I'd imagine it could be done with a check on the changed SP level, if it has dropped below the perk threshold for that skill then a check to see if a perk is in place and remove it if it is.

     

    For those like me with a touch of OCD they can just be removed manually at present.
     

     

     

    Do you remember what that console command is, I might look into it.

    Some ideas:

     

    Is it possible to initiate the bondage from dialog?

    Like asking your housecarl or spouse to tie you up.

    Or having it automatically tie you up when entering your own house, because slaves are supposed to wear it.

    I may be asking too much.

     

    Actually that is quite easy to do with this mod.

  12. Oh I see what you meant ... at the moment this is more of a self bondage mod, ...  Lydia or any other housecarl will not put your PC in extreme bondage ... yet.  However, you can put your housecarl or your PC in extreme bondage.


    1. Put your cursor on the actor you want bound until you see the activation option i.e. "Talk Lydia".
    2. Hit the actor selection key you configured in the MCM (default is Y).
    3. Go in the MCM page "Actor Selection" and on the left click from the list of actors. After you do the "selected actor's name" will appear to the right.
    4. Go in the MCM page "Device Interaction" hit "Make An All White Ebony Outfit"
    5. Go in the MCM page "Device Interaction" hit "Equip outfit to (your selected actor)" or your PC if that who you selected in 3 above.
    6. The selected actor will be helplessly in bondage.

    Are you into bondage? How about self-bondage?

     

    Have you ever thought to play a game with one of your housecarls say, Lydia?
    The game would go like this.
    In the morning she will put you into some extreme bondage, then she would leave the home to do her chores - like purchasing more cows and chickens for the bandits to kill. :-/
    Your job would be to escape the mentioned bondage, after all no bondage should be able to hold you, the mighty Dragonborn.
    If you do escape your bondage, you get to reverse roles and do the same to Lydia.

     

    Let’s just say that Lydia agreed to play this game, and is now coming back home after a long day at “work”, just to find you laying exhausted on the bathroom floor in a pool of your own piss, just as helpless and tightly bound, as when she left you ... and smirking at you says, “... so close, and yet so far ... huh my thane?”

     

    Then this mod is for you.

     

    Actually, with this mod you can equip and un-equip ALL the devious devices available from Devious Devices Assets and Devious Devices Expansion by using the MCM menu.

    will equip the first 7 items from the all black ebonite outfit on the ActorRef.

    will un-equip the first 5 items in the all black ebonite outfit from the ActorRef.

    will un-equip all items in the all black ebonite outfit from the ActorRef.

     

    2. To manipulate devious devices already worn.

    
    ActorRef.SendModEvent("iDDeEquipList", sList, fEquip)

    Here,

    • sList = Can be any string you choose. This string list will track the currently equipped DDs.

    • fEquip = 0 -> Will unequip outfit. First call to this mod event has to be an unequip.

     

    When called the event will check ActorRef for all worn DDs and make a StorUtil form list and save it as "sList[ActorRef]".
    • sList - can be any name you choose, say "MyList".

    • ActorRef - will be the actor's display name.

     

    Next, it will remove all the DDs from the ActorRef and if,
    • fEquip = 1 -> Will equip the previously made list outfit to the ActorRef.

    If the above event does not have a reference passed (aka. ActorRef) the outfit will be equipped to the player.
    For example,
    
    LydiaRef.SendModEvent("iDDeEquipList", "MyList" , 0)

    will remove all DDs off Lydia and create a StorUtil form list named "MyList[Lydia]".

     

    Whereas,

    
    LydiaRef.SendModEvent("iDDeEquipList", "MyList" , 1)

    will re-equip all the previously removed DDs.

     3. To list the devious devices worn only.

    
    ActorRef.SendModEvent("iDDeListAllWornDDs", sList, fMake)

    Here,

    • sList = Can be any string you choose. This string list will track the currently equipped DDs.

    • fMake = 0 -> Will clear the sList.

    • fEquip = 1 -> Will make the sList. If the list has some DDs in it already, this will add new DDs only, no duplicates. The list will be saved as a StorUtil form list named "sList[ActorRef]".

    If the above event does not have a reference passed (aka. ActorRef) the outfit will be equipped to the player.You can use the above to make the list and then you could equip or unequip it later.

     

    For example you could do a,

    
    LydiaRef.SendModEvent("iDDeListAllWornDDs", "MyList" , 1)

    to make the list now. and then,

    
    LydiaRef.SendModEvent("iDDeEquipList", "MyList" , 0)

    to remove the DDs from Lydia later.

    4. To lock the devices on the player.

    After you used some devices on the player, it won't be much of a challenge if the player can just use the MCM menu to remove them. So, to make sure the player goes through the "proper channels" to remove the DDs just send this mod event.

    
    SendModEvent("iDDeLock")

    Here,

    • This will lock this mod (iDDe) so the player cannot remove or add DDs through the  MCM. iDDe will unlock itself when there are no DDs left on the player.

     

    ModEvents - Out

    1. Done Event.

    This mod will send out an mod event every time it finishes work on a received event, returning the event name. For example when the mod event "iDDeListAllWornDDs", finishes its work it will send out an event like so,

    • So far the mod equips and un-equips DDs quite reliably on the PC.
    • ... not so much on the NPCs, I cannot seem to find an API to reliably detect worn DD by NPCs.   Fixed as of 1.30
    • Be careful when equipping devious devices on NPCs - most of them will probably break or prevent you from finishing quests by acting all retarded.

  14. My apologies if this question has been answered in full--I leafed through a couple dozen pages and ran a bunch of keyword searches but didn't find anything that seemed to fit the bill!  I'm entirely new to modding as well, so a lot of the issues are brand new to me.

    I'm really enjoying the Prison Overhaul mod, but I'm experiencing an issue with the pillory.  The jailer will lead me out to the yard, but at that point he just stands me there.  The pillory I think I'm meant to be assigned to simply vanishes.

    I thought the issue would be solved by an error I made--I had failed to register the Sex Lab animations in Zaz.  The issue has persisted, however, though I have registered Sex Lab in Zaz and clicked "Rebuild."  Is there some other common mistake I've made?  Thanks!

     

    I'm having animation issues with a couple of positions as well, and I'm still trying to sort out the matter of the purple pillory, but I'm really enjoying all the cool things folks have put together.  :)
