    Please don't compromise on the poly/vert count, or at least not too much.  If CBBE/BS can set a high bar out of the gate we might be able to avoid the Skyrim body confusion for most users.  I understand it's not the one and all measure but for most of us poly count is probably the only technical measure we could translate visually when starting.  When asked why body x moves better or appears smoother than CBBE in Skyrim the answer would always mention higher poly.  It's not a complete answer and probably not true in some cases but I bet it was the main reason many of us chose not to go with CBBE.       
  3. SexLab Aroused Creatures (2015-11-14)

    I have very little knowledge of how SL and SLAC work together so this is just my speculation.   I did another test.  Custom race follower using humanoid skeleton with both keywords ActorTypeCreature and ActorTypeNPC.  SLAC picked up the actor correctly, I assumed by the keyword ActorTypeCreature, however debug said no animation for the actor.      However, using another mod like TDF Prostitution the same actor did everything as expected where I assumed keyword ActorTypeNPC was correctly picked up by Sexlab.   So what I am guessing is that SLAC picked up Dremora by its keyword ActorTypeDaedra but is asking SL's creature animation branch for the race Dremora.  However, Dremora's SL keyword is ActorTypeNPC so Dremora's animation does not exist in SL's creature animation call.   Is it problematic or a lot for extra work for SLAC to call animations for creature attacker with keywords ActorTypeNPC?  So SLAC will check keyword ActorTypeNPC before it calls creature animation by race.  
  4. SexLab Aroused Creatures (2015-11-14)

    Is ActorTypeDaedra included in V4 alpha 3?      I wanted to see how SLAC handles ActorTypeDaedra so I  made a vanilla non-hostile Dremora and debug message said no animation available.     Just to make sure I didn't screw up in making my NPC I also tested it with Hentai Dremora and SLAC's debug said the same thing.  However, SL animation does trigger if I command Hentai Dremora to train, albeit with Hentai Creatures' gender reversal bug.     The post above said Dremora is included explicitly by the keyword "Dremora".  Dremora Race only has keywords "ActorTypeNPC" and "ActorTypeDaedra".   Both my Dremora NPC and Hentai Dremora belong to vanilla Dremora Race.

    So is Mia's story over?  With Alicia Painslut content no more it seems a shame this is it for the mod's title character.    How about replace Alicia Painslut with a complete new character as Mia's daughter?  I guess Mia was written as a plot device for Alicia Painslut but as that mod is no longer part of SSS lore Mia's story really deserves to be fleshed up more in a remake.

  7. I am assuming you got these two "?"  after going to 3rd person mode.  FNIS Sexlab Creature needs a separate SL creature animation pack, check SL's download page.  FNIS Creature thingy needs FNIS Creature Pack, check FNIS's download page on Nexus.  Make sure you run FNIS.    
  8. 1. For SL 1.6+ to work you have to make sure it is activated/registered in the MCM menu.  In future version maybe you don't have to but for now you have to manually activate SL. 2. Creature animation is off by default AND you also need the separate Creature Animation pack as of 1.6+.  Check the download section and the MCM menu. 3. The "mouse thing" is usually something related to camera angle.  Check if you have mods that alter it.   The reason no one has jumped in to help is that based on what you posted it sounded like neither of you have read the instruction, I mean really read it.  Nothing people can say are not already stated in the Sexlab's download page.   Also you should be praying to Dibella instead of Anubis.

    Those images are from a modder team selling Daz3D conversions.  They occasionally will release stuff for free but most of what you see are for sale, or that the "conversion service" is for sale so to skirt copyright infringement.  
  10. What's the deal with private mods?

    I think the negativity is not with the concept of private mods because that would be silly but with the act of showing off "private mods", apples and oranges.    For modders who felt insulted with the negative usage of the term private mod, if you have private mods and don't flaunt them at people's faces how would anyone know the mod even exist?  Anything that is really private cannot elicit envy, anger or jealousy if there is no knowledge of its existence.  What most people described in this thread falls into this category.  They are mods that are just that, private.    Most of the anger is at those who go around posting stuff in public forums and then said you can't have this, in particular those who have bought converted commercial 3D models or did so themselves.  How people learned about the existence of said "private mod" is almost always in these situations.  The backlash is more against display of crass than rooted in self-centered entitlement.  Same as wealth.  Most albeit not all people are only against rich people if they feel the money wasn't earned or that the display of wealth was meant to denigrate.     I know in a few months the same subject will come up and we will see the same posts all over again.  I am just here to offer a little bit of perspective.  If mods are really private then they don't really exist as far as the pubic is concerned, and there are the so-called "private mods" that are not really private.  A better term for those should be "FU" mods.

    Don't quote me because I might be wrong.  The reason that Sexlife does not work on certain "NPC" is probably because they don't have the keyword "actortypeNPC".  This keyword is assigned by race but most importantly is what Sexlab uses to filter animations.  The mechanic is very important because animations needed to be custom made for certain types of actors/NPC.  As pretty much everything that's not "actortypeNPC" are hostile, such as "actortypedaedra", "actortypeanimal" etc, Dooge probably chose to limit Sexlife only to humanoids, i.e. "actortypeNPC".  Furthermore, bringing in hostile or non-humanoid actors into Sexlife would not only completely change the nature of the mod but I am guessing would be exponentially more difficult to make.  For hostiles there is already Defeat and for creatures there is already SLAC.  I don't know if Sexlife currently disengages itself when hostile NPC is around but it probably should.    Side note, I hope when Dooge does come back Sexlife will stay to its original design which is to add depth to NPC-NPC interaction.  The whole concept of adding player not only creates multitudes of technical issues but also diverted Dooge's time away from improving on its origin.  There are many mods that expands player's sexual encounters but this is the only NPC-NPC mod still(?) in development.  If Dooge is only doing it in respond to demand then I am lobbying Dooge just makes the mod he intended which is NPC-NPC.  That Sexlife is very customizable is both its attraction and detraction.  Just as I was about to dive in and tinker with Sexlife traits which would be major undertaking if you use a lot of NPC mods, the mod took a turn into player-NPC and bug reports surged.  I have been holding back ever since.  Sometimes the most vocal requests do not necessarily represent the silent majority of the mod's user base.  It's important that Dooge just makes what Dooge wants.
  12.   There is probably some misunderstanding.  I am in no way implying anything regarding LL or CPU.  No, not at all.    I think the numbers are the same, the higher number I am seeing is historical gross (total pledge by supporters) and the other smaller number you are seeing is probably the current net figure (what Ashal could receive after fees next month).  If this were the case then both numbers can be considered accurate, with footnotes.   I was just making a point the reason we are seeing different numbers is maybe because Patreon is conducting a test.  Patreon should inform the user whom they are conducting the test on.  The small print I saw said the user would have been informed by email but based on the response I'd said it's a no.     I am no way of knowing this for sure but I am guessing that for pledges nearing a milestone Patreon shows the lower net instead of the higher gross for certain users in the test to see if the ones seeing the lower number would pledge more to get over the milestone.  It's a twist based on a common technique used by fundraisers in offline world.    Lastly, hurrah to LL and Ashal  CPU too.

I think Patreon is conducting an experiment in pledge presentation.    https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206197906-Why-is-my-public-facing-dollar-amount-less-than-the-amount-that-is-pledged-to-me-   In very small fine print, Patreon stated that random patron/creator are selected to be shown different dollar amounts.  Some see the gross while others see the net.   Did you receive an email?  If not then you should protest since they are conducing test on you without your knowledge.  Conducting tests on users are becoming more and more prevalent nowadays.  Profit-seeking dot-com have mostly graduated from data gathering and now working on user behavior modification.   
  14. I am seeing 211 for $1612.5.  I have never used Patreon before.  Does the number differ based on patron tiers such as higher tiers get to see forward looking financial projection or that the number difference is due to currency?

    That's correct, my post http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19941-defeat/?do=findComment&comment=1387957     I was referring to how Defeat handles "Follower as Victim" situation during NPC-NPC encounter where assault animations don't trigger if the victim (whose rank in the potential_follower faction is true but false in the current_follower faction) is not accompanied by the player int he fight, as well as getting stuck in the post-assault scenario.
  16. XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended

    XP32 is mentioned in OP's weapon position section as one of the alternatives but does not appear in the installer nor the OP's animator credit section.  It's still confusing as XP32's 1H weapon is still prominently featured on FNIS Generator.  I read the OP and double checked the installer's description.  OP is very clear about XPMSE replaces XPMS skeleton but says nothing about what we should do with animations now bundle in 3+ version.   Thanks

    Possible bug report:   I think Defeat (5.2.2) might be confused in "follower as victim" when the player is not in the fight.  I observed in the wild where a potential follower was defeated by another NPC.  The victor never raped the potential follower.  The potential follower just entered bleed out while the aggressor watched.  Once the potential follower recovered enough the cycle repeated.  Here is the interesting part, I made it such that the NPC is hostile to said potential follower but not to player and when I approached the potential follower while she is in bleed out I got all the options "tied up, revive, kill, rape etc".  I can choose to revive her or be the aggressor.  I also got the "talk" option but nothing happened when clicked on it.  If I revive her, the cycle repeats; if I chose to become the aggressor she losses the follower dialog for recruitment and because she's essential so I cannot kill her (and I don't want to) so the NPC is basically stuck.  I think Defeat assumes that any follower would be accompanied by the player in places where hostiles could exist.  This is not true as many mods have AI package for potential followers moving about in the wild or that player can have a follower wait at a potentially dangerous spot.   I cannot remember but I think follower was just treated just like any NPC in NPC-NPC and did not get different treatment.

    My bad, they are from XP32 New Animation Pack and not XP32 XPMS.  I am totally dazed now that XPMSE has so many animations and confused "XP32 ANIMATION..." with "XP32 Maximum Skeleton EXtended".    Now that I got it clear, should I uninstall "1H Weapon" from XP32 Animation Pack if I install XPMSE's 1H animations?  What would happen if I have them both with FNIS?   Thanks

    I seem to recall that at one point xp32's "running with bow", "1H weapon" and "momo acrobatic jump" were part of the XPMSE installer.  I don't see these options in XPMSE anymore so should I uncheck them in FNIS?  Or were they never part of XPMSE but were from XPMS 1.95?  I am kinda dazed by all the new animations added by XPMSE.

  21. The alternative of not manually attaching xml to the head nif is using the havok object mod.  You can find the tutorial in one of the HDT PE forum stickies (not sure which, it's been a long time since I mess around with HDT PE).

Havok, or more appropriately in this context is a mod that adds something called "havok object" in game, is one method for getting HDT PE collision effect to work.  Don't worry about it until you decide to mess with collision.  Be warn it's another ladder up in terms of learning curve and the effects are not that noticeable.  Personally I use the Havok method but HDT PE is not very good at collision (HDT SMP has superseded HDT PE but it does not have much 3rd party support to date).       Have you gone through the stickies and some key threads in the HDT PE forums?  Everything you need to get started is there: http://www.loverslab.com/forum/52-hdt-physics-extension/

    I think George Orwell deserved more credit than that.  His genius was that he distilled the fundamental failure of communism into a easy to understand slogan within a children's book when there was still uncertainty among intellectuals and power brokers in the West about the merits of communism, as shocking as it might seem today.  I read that the book was almost not published nor was it universally well received in 1945 because Western governments were afraid of offending the Soviet Union and that the world of publishing and literature was dominated by people sympathetic of the "people's revolution".  Nevertheless, Animal Farms quickly became and still is a very popular children's book and "all are equal but some are more equal than others" got introduced into mainstream lexicon.  It is arguably the intellectual bedrock for ordinary people in the West during the Cold War for whom communism was otherwise just a bogeyman.  I am sure the absurdity was as familiar as sun to people who lived in the Soviet Block but I doubt its actual usage predated the book's publication and probably not until the 80s in those countries, a generation after the original publication.  Do we have any 20th century historians here who can shed some lights on this?  I am really curious because "Animal Farm" is one of the greatest books I've ever read, only I didn't know it until 30 years after I've read it.   EDIT: I was referring to the implication in the discussion that the phrase/proverb could have existed in parallel or prior to the publication of Animal Farm and not about winny257 specifically.  I don't like the site's new quotation system

    I just assumed they are from two separate branches of LL services, like a Navy captain is far more senior than an Army captain, or that during WWII a 3 star general in US Army outranks 3 star equivalents in other armies, or that a VP on Wall Street is basically a glorified interns but a VP in any other industry is senior enough to make or break the company...
