The launcher is wiping the plugins.txt ([User]/AppData/Local/Fallout4/plugins.txt) every time it starts. The trick is to use the F4SE launcher http://f4se.silverlock.org/ which bypasses the standard launcher. You will probably have to manually repopulate the plugins.txt, or use NMM assuming it also builds the plugins.txt (or export your plugins load order from NMM and copy/paste that into plugins.txt)

This worked, thank you! I was delaying installing F4SE until I found a mod I wanted that required it, but it looks like it's useful for more than just enhancing mods.

  2. Personally, I've played every version of Fallout ever made, know the lore fairly well, and love what I've seen of FO4 so far.

My favorite thing is that power armor is finally the walking tank its always been hyped to be in the lore. It always bothered me that this big-ass robo-suit that is supposed to make you Death incarnate could be folded up and stuck in your pocket when not in use.

I heard something in a podcast regarding the storyline that I found rather interesting. It seems that this iteration of the game was more targeted to an older audience. People with families and kids seem, in general, to like the story more than people without those things. The loss of a loved one and abduction of a child resonates more with people who can identify with those events.

I'm questioning why he's looking for his "baby boy".

I still know nothing about the game first-hand, it hasn't unlocked for me yet. But from what I've read the confirmed premise is Cryonic suspension. So the last the Survivor knew of their kid, it was a baby being frozen with the family. If the kid is thawed long before the parent the parent will be looking for a baby while the "kid" could, in fact, be any age ranging from still a baby to a ghoul that was thawed a hundred years ago.

I see no japanese names.....wow...with the various races available I'm not surprised all the names are english 'white names'

That could be a good thing. I don't see many non-Western names on either list, which means they are neither confirmed nor busted. Howard said something like a thousand names, and that list doesn't break 50 I don't think. Still lots of room.

No Ariel so far, but Isabelle and Isabella are both on the Wiki as confirmed.

  6. I've got that folder, it's just under 24 gb and full of .csd and .csm files. This is my first pre-order/preload game as well, I'm guessing .csd and .csm are Steam's encryption file type? The file names are all in (xxxxxx)_depotcache_xx format. The first set of numbers seems random, the second set is in numerical order 1-14.

  7. Its stated in FO3 that the Pip Boy cannot be FORCIBLY removed. I.E. a their cannot snatch it off of you. The wearer can voluntarily remove it, and in the case of someone dying, vault medical officers and overseers had access to a special tool for removing it. As for FO4, its shown in the trailer that the new Pip Boy is just held on with a simple clasp, as the Sole Survivor doesn't have one when they first wake up and removes theirs from a dead Vault-Tec technician on their way out.

  8. I can't code or script my way out of a wet paper bag, and I really didn't think this through when I took it on. After a few weeks pounding my head against a brick wall, I'm admitting defeat. If you're interested in helping/taking over, leave a comment or PM me.

  9.

I have one problem to report with Sexout 96 beta1, after sex my character will not redress his armor, but all other ''stuff'' like glasses, backpack or hats are redressing properly, just not the armors/clothes. It happens with all mods and it just started after I installed Sexout 96 beta1.

I posted about the same issue in an earlier post and Odessa has not been able to reproduce it. Mine started with 95-beta 9 or so. My PC is and always has been configured so he is in underwear unless having sex .

I encountered this myself with the 95 beta. With the current stable version, wait until your partner redresses themselves then open the pipboy and get dressed. The nude bodysuit lingers for a moment after sex, and you have to wait until it's cleaned up by the post-sex scripts before you can put your gear back on.
