  1. -Why are there weird floating ships and blimps with rockets? When I saw them I got confused as it's a little out of place for Fallout.

    -Who is the weird guy wearing the trench coat and fedora?

    -Looking at the few in game screenshots they showed in the trailer, I'm worried because it seems like the world will be VERY small. This wouldn't be all that surprising, with each elder scrolls and fallout game the world map gets smaller.

    -The trailer is a little confusing, since it doesn't really even show anything about what the game is about, but the way they show flashbacks it almost looks like the baby from the family seen in the beginning will be you, and you exit the vaults some time after going inside; in other words the game takes place during/very shortly after the Great War and looks like a prequel.

    -Boston setting confirmed.

    -When will this site have a Fallout 4 section?

    -Airships are lore for the Fallout universe, since Bethesda includes Tactics as lore. The Brotherhood used Airships to cross the country.

    -Mysterious Stranger, maybe?

    -How can you deduce the worldspace size from a 3 minute trailer with less than a minute of in-game footage? For all we know it could be anywhere from just Boston to all of Massachusetts to a large portion of New England.

    -If you're paying attention at the end of the trailer, the family from the flashbacks is standing on the silo door-looking thing during the nuke strike near the end.

    -The level of rebuilding in the cities I saw looked "modern day" to FO3 and New Vegas. If it's a prequel it's a recent one, at a guess I'd say around the time of Project Purity's beginning.

    -Yup.

    -If Bethesda stays true to the previous Fallout games, I believe they released GECK a few months before the games. If they stay true to Skyrim, quite a while AFTER the game released, around the first DLC. So I'd say around the release of the FO4 GECK is when modding sites such as LL and Nexus will add FO4 sections.

  2. I don't know if its vanilla or if it was mod added, but I once opened a sewer cap on the Strip and found an NCR jail in the tunnels. Locked up gamblers and everything.

    Oh, and if you have Wild Wasteland active the Securitrins can occasionally be heard saying "dead or alive, you're coming with me." That one I know is vanilla, its in the wiki.

  3. I never said he didn't execute anyone, I said he didn't "summarily execute every random criminal". I.E., "Oh, you were caught shoplifting a hat at Potomac Attire? Ok, plasma blast to the head it is."


     


    Though, with the reaction you get when caught "stealing" ("Sorry, I didn't realize you were emotionally attached to the damn bent tin can!") maybe he does.

  4. When you initiated sex, did you just ask them both about a threeway? There is a secondary dialogue available before starting the party where you can specify who is doing what. If you didn't, I'm not sure what the default is but that may be what you got caught in.

  5. I never did get that actually. It's post apocalyptic DC. Jails don't even exist. :cool:

    I'm just shooting in the dark here, but I think Rivet City has a jail we just never get to see. I highly doubt Harkness is down with summarily executing every random criminal, and Mr. Cantelli is a good example of them not exiling petty criminals. So there's a jail in there somewhere.

    Sorry for the random response, I just saw that and it stuck in my head.

  6. As the topic title says, when I try to have sex with an NPC we just stand inside each other for the duration of the act while sex sound effects play.

    I feel dumb having to post this here, this is an oldschool glitch that I should know how to fix.

    I lost my temper the other day and deleted everything fallout related from my hard drive. I've cooled off and want to reinstall, but there is one essential mod that I cannot now re-find. Does anyone know of/have somewhere I can get the most current version of DarnUI without searching for hours through a "thread too long/locked" daisy chain of bethesda blogs?

    There is another mod that gives darnified a very clean look however.  http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46389/?

     

     

    AFAIK it is the Beta DUINVv4.7z at the end of the first post of the bethesta topic above. I have installed this, too.

  9. Ok, on further examination I've discovered that it's acting like my mods kinda got clean installed. I say kinda because a few things are missing. Vanessa and Willow got reset back to where they first came from, with their quests reset as if I hadn't met them yet. All of my inventory has been removed, and items that came from containers have been returned to the containers. Items that were placed in-world, however are gone. Only two examples I can give are the drunken gnomes from NV Interiors and the teleport ball from Leveler's House. Those are not where I found them.


     


    There are some other things I can't check because I can't access my pip boy. I run the Pip Boy 2500 replacer, and there's a process you're supposed to follow before uninstalling it to keep from jacking it up permanently. This spontaneous reset didn't follow the process, obviously, and now hitting tab does nothing but turn the light on. My arm won't even come up.

  10. The content is from multiple mods, it doesn't touch vanilla items, it's not just my inventory but also any companions with me that get removed, and this is the second time it's happened. The first time I completely purged and reinstalled the game and all mods, cutting out any I didn't use regularly.


     


    The part that is really pissing me off is that I can't roll back from when it happened. Once it happens it affects all of my saves. Last time it happened at level 15 while I was swimming in lake Mead, this time I was level 7 and sneaking through Quarry Junction trying to clear the Deathclaw infestation.
