  1. Had a couple of cheap deaths early on:

     

    Blindsided by a raider with a fatman. Nothing more threatening than pipe guns up to that point, then bam, one has a fatman. Wasn't even a unique or legendary raider. Fucker was on top of a building, didn't really see what he was armed with as I was too busy sniping his friends. All I knew was there was an explosion and I went from near full health to dead. (got revenge on reload of course, that's how I know it was a fatman)

     

    Also, blundered into a live bottlecap mine early on. Instant death obviously.

    Not sure how much performance impact depth of field really has. As I said I always turn it off anyway. You might try it both on and off (without changing anything else) and see if there is a noticeable difference. As for it being jagged, do you mean like no antialiasing? I use the FXAA from the game and the SMAA from Reshade.

     

    As for Reshade, I am not using anything specifically preset for FO4. I just made a few adjustments to an existing preset for another game. I was going to attach it, but I guess attachments are not working yet? Any of the ones on Nexus should work, let me know if you need help with the settings, I've used it for a number of games.

I have a similar setup (used to have a newer one but the motherboard died, better processor but less ram than what you have, virtually the same video card), and the only thing I have shut off that you have on is godrays. Might try shutting that off completely. I haven't noticed any major framerate drops in cities.

     

    Couple things you didn't mention that you could disable to improve performance would be radial blur and depth of field (if you can live without those things, I don't like them anyway so I always shut them off)

     

    Depth of field is in Fallout4Prefs.ini under [Imagespace]: bDoDepthOfField=0

     

    Radial blur is in Fallout4.ini under [ImageSpace]: bDoRadialBlur=0

     

    Also using ReShade by the way.

    This log looks similar to the issue Mud is having (the post right above yours). It would appear to be calling a function that did not exist yet in 1.59 (so maybe it is not compatible after all, I was going off of what Goubo said before). But I would wait for Goubo's response to be certain as it is his mod and he would obviously know better than I.

     

    You may just need to update SexLab. Don't know what other mods you run, but it didn't break anything for me when I updated SexLab.

    If this happened to me, I would check my papyrus log at the point where the PC stood back up rather than triggering sex. As far as I am aware, it does not require 1.60.2. (But it works fine for me with 1.60.2)

I downloaded the latest version of Max ( 2016 ),  but honestly I don't know if I want to continue feeding AutoDesk money or not.  I'm starting to like Blender the more I play with it and, the way I see it, they way they're going they're going to give AutoDesk something to worry about in the near future.

     

    If there were a reliable way to get animations from Blender to Skyrim, I would have made some animations myself, and long ago at that.

     

    I never did find anything that wasn't "Jump through flaming hoops while sacrificing forty chickens and raping a beagle by the light of the full moon while the planets are properly aligned etc etc..." though.  :angry:

  7. Wanted to chime in and say it is working for me with SexLab 1.60.2 as well. That's not to say every single feature of the included mods are working, but the ones I use are working and my game is stable with 70+ mods. I think people notice one or two features not working and assume it's "not compatible" and their game is going to explode.


     


    Would also like to remind people that Dentarr is actually maintaining several mods here, not just one.

    MNC will probably be your best bet, but we'll see if Dentarr has the time/interest to implement them.

     

     

    I don't think interest will be the issue, those look great. Last time Dentarr commented though, he said he was pretty busy with RL concerns and didn't know when he would be able to update.

     

    And thanks for making these, I was hoping you would do creature animations at some point. :D  Any plans to do other creatures/animals, or are canines as far as you want to take this? (sorry if you have answered this previously, didn't see anything about it in the last couple of pages)

  10. I am pro more canine animations. I am pro more bear animations. I am pro more non-insect creature animations, but I have nothing against insect animations. I am pro more dragon animations, but for the following reasons I'm sure no one is considerate enough to make them. Reasons such as how everyone's afraid of the dragon dick, or afraid of his general massive size, or simply just upset at how rarely they even see a dragon. (get a mod to spawn them) ... or they just hate on dragons.

     

    I'd say the size disparity is the main problem, not that people don't want them included. A dragon cannot actually penetrate the character (it would just clip through if you tried), so that severely limits your options for animations.  Another problem is that dragons are notoriously buggy in the first place, that probably keeps people from animating them as well. It's bad enough at least one mod has an option to disable dragons only.

     

    If can find a good method for exporting though, I'll give it a shot myself.

  11. I *might* be interested in doing some, if I can find a good tutorial on how to get animations from Blender to Skyrim. I can animate, but I don't have time to read through tutorials that are no real help. (meaning every one I have seen so far). I don't have, and can't afford 3ds max.

    Let me ask you this; If Ashal posted that he could not afford to keep the Loverslab running for more than the next 12 months would anybody here buy a membership?

     

     

    I think you would be surprised at the number of us who would. I think some kind of free vs premium membership model would work. People who are willing to pay to support the board could have a few privileges, and those who don't or can't could still have access to most board features and/or mods.

     

     

    As far as what the future holds for modding, adult and otherwise... I think when the dust settles it will be somewhere in between the old free system and a paid system, with modders who want to get paid for their efforts offering updates to backers first, and then releasing free versions to the public later on.

    And really, would that be such a bad system? Those who are against the paid model will only have to wait a bit, and the mod will likely have been bug tested by the paying crowd by then.

     

     

     Umm... sry, I think you misunderstood me or that I was rushing in typing this and didn't explain myself properly but it was to be a rhetorical question. I think it would work. I have been a member here longer than this account. I have never been banned just left a few times when things became slow. I only came back when I started playing Skyrim and to beta test my friends mod that are uploaded here. My point is that I know this has been talked about but I am saying that sometime in the future it could be forced upon us all and in effect then we would all be paying for mods in some form or another ;)

     

     

    Yeah, I took it too literally. I don't know you (at least under your current name, I have been here since the beginning myself), so I wrongly assumed you meant that literally. Hard to convey tone through text when you are in a hurry though.

     

    As far as it being forced on us all (as in for even basic access), I can't speak for Ashal, but I suspect he might just shut it down if it came to that. I have yet to see him comment on this matter, probably for the same reason I haven't in the more argument-focused threads. I'd rather wait and see what will really happen, and what is really behind this, than freak out about it. But I have been accused of being too laid back. :lol:

     

    But yes, I agree paid for mods in general is a horrible idea, at least the way they are going about it.

  15. It would be great if you could add some kind of method to inflict these curses via traps or loot. :)

    I love the idea of egg-laying and oviposition, but as it is, I'm kind of struggling coming up with an in-character motivation to seek out these curses.

     

    Will definitely be keeping an eye on this mod. :)

     

    Wouldn't be too hard to add alternate versions of the cursed eggs to random loot lists. Could even add lore books explaining how the eggs came to be (some crazy wizard's diary? Daedric fertility ritual gone wrong? Lots of possibilities) and how to remove the curse etc.

    And Blender is free and I taught myself the basics in one weekend.   ;)  It isn't that hard to work with, people are either afraid of it or just lazy.

     

    I have to agree, Blender and nifskope are not that hard to figure out. Certainly doesn't take "5 years". More like a few days, provided you can read. I've been adjusting (more like mangling lol) my own nifs for years, since the Oblivion days.

  17. If you haven't done so already, I recommend for you to watch these oldies:

     

    - Hellsing - Short but good vampire anime, which doesn't have any romance content in it, which makes it even better (at least I didn't notice anything that could be labeled as romance). The MC is just badass.   :)

     

    - Erementar Gerad - For me this one is one of my favorites. It has decent plot (not PLOT), with its funny and romantic moments. They just don't make animes like these anymore. Most of the recent romance animes focuses too much on harem and fanservicing. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that, but too much is just too much.

     

    - Tenchi Myuo series - A good set of series, with 3 different seasons and several movies. Harem/comedy anime.

     

    - Tenchi Myuo: GXP - A spinoff from the main Tenchi Myuo series, which focuses on different characters. This is good harem/comedy anime, thou the ending was a little disappointment for me. It also felt like cliffhanger for 2nd GXP season, that never happened. But overall, it's a good anime to watch.

     

    And I highly recommend you to watch these with their original sounds, not those english dubbed versions. For me, whenever an anime is dubbed over, the voice acting quality drops enormously, which makes the anime painful to watch. But that's just me.

     

    I watched Hellsing Ultimate, never watched the original series. But yeah, Alucard was very entertaining.

     

    As far as voice acting, for the few animes where I checked both versions, with some of them I actually thought the American voice actors were better. (Bleach for example) But it looks like we watch different types of anime too. I'm not so much into the romantic comedies. But for the most part I agree, subbed is better.

Funimation being the worst.  I watched Deadman Wonderland (or tried to) and they edited with screen zooms 90% of the good gore scenes.  I mean you're watching and then the screen zooms down to the lower left and there is nothing but a pixelated  30 second shot of someone's elbow with all of the dialogue and sound fx still playing in the background.

     

    Where did you watch that? I don't remember what you are describing with the screen zooms. It was more than a year ago, though, maybe I just don't recall correctly, but I don't think they censored it like that. I remember it being pretty damn gory (and a pretty good series, wasn't popular in Japan though so they only did one season :( ). I even watched it on Cartoon Network, it was the first time they aired it though. Haven't watched any of the current airing on CN, is that what you were watching?

    Not exactly. Animations should play for creatures with a compatible skeleton, but they will either not have any genitals or if you use nude creatures, they will swap to a vanilla mesh during sex. More Nasty Critters includes archdemon, but that's it.

     

    Nude Creatures and this patch work on different principals. This patch has a separate penis mesh, Nude Creatures changes the whole mesh.

  20. I don't see a poll either (is it already over?), but I would say have it like the "blackout" option at first, then brighten up a bit (to the level of 3 maybe) as the character's eyes adjust. I think this would be an opportunity to create more tension when you first enter a dark area, you don't now what's there waiting to pounce on you. As far as NPCs, I'd say in most situations they have already been there a while so their eyes would already be adjusted, no need to change their AI. Or you could just make it part of the lore that the infected have improved senses (if you already did that I missed it).
