Ok new day new problem, I seem to do something wrong every step... I have added a new body to use and followed your tutorial however when I preview the body does not show unless an armour is equipped. I have tried using custom textures as well as the default ones and all the parts are set up exactly as in the tutorial. Any ideas as to what has gone wrong?

That's fixed it, cheers! I think perhaps I missed out a step

I've given this a go but it hasn't changed anything, still cant get the lip colour to change at all no matter what I try. CPU's tutorial good though it is does not go into this matter (perhaps something to add in future?) so if you could help me out a bit more that'd be handy! I can provide some screen-captures if needs be.

no for the lips. As you can see in this image the colour should be red as selected in racemenu however it does not display on the preview or in-game. Here is the image: http://i.imgur.com/YkL2xP0.jpg

Hey, Could you explain to me how to do the colours with tints in CK. I can't seem to figure it out. Also a tip for the next edition of your tutorial, which is great by the way, move the images to one side or something because it is kinda weird to read when they are in the middle of a paragraph. Im not sure i understand about the tints part, and i will do the whole hair process again tommorow. sometimes it is better to start from scratch then to keep building on top of something else   I've now fixed the hair and all works fine, however lip colour is still wrong

Minor cosmetic issue: In race menu i gave the lips a red colour to imitate lipstick however this doesn't show up on the npc in game or in the preview on CK. under the "face tint layers" section in "character gen parts" there is a .dds file for the lips and when i click it the deep red colour shows up but not on the preview.   Also i loaded the npc before i changed the hair and now when i go into skyrim the npc has the default hair, in CK preview and render window the npc has the SG hair i chose

I can't find a "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads" in the .ini There is a "bAllowMultipleEditors" but thats about it

I've run into an issue. I want to use a hair from SGhairpack however I cannot load it in ck. It is classed as a master file and it wont load more than one master file (loads Skyrim automatically). Is there a 'work-around' for this? your tutorial does not explain what to do if this happens Cheers

I just meant about having the follower use HDT and such with a CBBE or UNP or 7B, etc body. It looks like you've got that covered though!  Good luck with the war paint, I've given similar things a go in the past and they're painstaking to make.

Ok, I have copied and used the eyes and their textures. I have also created and used a custom hair colour. Everything seems to be going quite well, CK hasn't even crashed yet *touch wood*. When you have some time I'm ready for the next step!

No worries, the fact that you've helped me this far is great so whenever you want to do the next step no pressure!  Yeah I thought I'd have to do something like that for the colour, I'll have to figure out how to decode the hex into RGB.  

I have fixed the issue with the custom colour not appearing now, however if you can it would be nice to know how to make the custom colour for using a specific colour from racemenu. I have also correctly loaded all the mods. Also changed my avatar, bit of a Civilisation themed joke! I have now completed all the steps you've written so far so when you have time i'd like to learn the next part in the process.
