  1. Granted it won't look great, but it'll look a damn sight better than it does currently.

I'm always trying to learn how to do new things though so maybe sometime in the future I will actually make it look like a crown or something but with 300+ hair meshes I'd rather not right now!

    Thanks again Kastagir!

  2. Thanks for the advice Kastagir.

When I said crown it was merely to clarify the idea I was trying to get across. Perhaps some day I will look into remodelling the hair and such but that is a beast far larger than I am willing to wrangle with right now.

What I'm after is for circlets to sit atop/outside of the hair as opposed to buried in it and I figured the way to do so would be to edit the Z co-ords - rightly corrected - and maybe the size/scale.

I have some basic knowledge of nifskope and blender also, which I suppose would be the right tool for the job so-to-speak

    Cheers!

  3. Howdy all,

So I've recently noticed a minor cosmetic issue which I'd like to fix.

When using many of the hair mods, the hair often covers most or all of any circlet that is equipped. It seems easy enough to fix but I don't know how. It seems like all I'd need to do is change the Y value of the circlet's positioning relative to the character, so as to make the circlet appear to sit atop the hair like a crown as opposed to around the head.

If someone could help me out that'd be great, I've got a fair amount of experience with the creation kit so I can mod things via CK.

    Cheers, DareDemon666.

Also if this works out I'll see about making it a publicly available mod, like a race menu plugin or something.

  4. Hi,

I need some help in converting an outfit to the right body type. The body I use is CBBE HDT and the outfit in question is one of the vests from SexyVests mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53864/). I downloaded the CBBE BBP version as it seems like the smallest jump to make in terms of creating a conversion.

I however, am quite inexperienced at converting outfits. I am familiar with the Outfit Studio interface though.

Some help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers, DareDemon666

  5. Hi,

Recently I decided to change my BodySlide settings. I opened it up, made my changes, built the meshes or whatever and then batch built the outfits. However in game though the changes were apparent the skin texture was all over the place.

I use the FairSkin texture, and have done successfully for some time to remove the horrible "hip seam" issue well known to cbbe users. However this time the texture does not seem to be in use as the hip seam is there as well as other obvious issues as can be seen in the attached pic. I've tried un-installing and reinstalling the texture and despite overwriting some BodySlide installed textures it has not fixed the issue. I have fixed this before so I know it is possible but I can't remember what I did :(

Please help me if you can.

    cheers, DareDemon666

  6. Ok my NPC is complete now. I may make a custom armour for it in future but for now everything is in working condition however there is still an issue.

In the racemenu pre-set the shape, position and size of the eyes and the size of the iris have been set to my liking but they do not appear in CK or on the NPC anywhere. Also the pre-set has a more distinct smile which also does not seem to have been taken into account. I've tried exporting the preset and importing again (I may have accidentally made changes to the preset after importing at the start) however that didn't change anything.

I know some things are simply not possible in skyrim but this is surely not one of them.

Any ideas on how to fix this at all?

  7. At the moment I am in the process of learning how to create custom, standalone NPCs and followers with help from CPU.

CPU has been very helpful however he is a busy man and can't always answer my questions. So in the interest of time I put my problem to you, the community.

Currently I'm having an issue where the NPC in creation, lets call it 'X', does not display body parts when the corresponding armour is not equipped, for example: If X un-equips the boots X's feet will vanish, same goes for everything but head.

The body part is visible when wearing something however, for example: when X wears a cuirass any exposed skin (arms, stomach, etc) are visible.

I've done a few checks in NifSkope and the Creation kit to make sure the body parts are all in the correct slots and they are.

I've tried using my normal skin textures, the default ones and new ones from both fair skin and SG. None of these have fixed the issue.

Here is the NPC thread: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/48854-help-custom-npc-creation-with-racemenu/page-1

The relevant part is near the top of page 4.

If anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them. Floating heads are not exactly what I'm after!

    Cheers, DareDemon666

  8. I'm not quite sure I understand that.

I edited the NPC, removed everything from the inventory and default/sleep outfits are set to 'NONE'. then I clicked the preview full box and all i can see is the head and hair, everything below the neck is not there.

I'm not sure that I've done the first step though. You say do a preview but what exactly do you mean?

  9. Ok so I downloaded and installed a new texture (called "Fair Skin" if I remember correctly) and tested in game to make sure all was working and the textures show up fine on my player character and NPCs as far as I can tell, however it has not fixed the issue. My custom NPC's body is not visible when its not wearing any clothes.

  10. Ok new day new problem, I seem to do something wrong every step... :(

I have added a new body to use and followed your tutorial however when I preview the body does not show unless an armour is equipped. I have tried using custom textures as well as the default ones and all the parts are set up exactly as in the tutorial.

Any ideas as to what has gone wrong?
