  1.   THANK YOU so much!!! Finally got this quest done. I think I found one of the items by chance after speaking with Urag but before I ran across Zed and that is what messed up the quest. I didn't know it was a quest item, but picked it up because it had "odd" in the name. Turned out that was the item that fouled up the quest. I found the item number using the console commands (which took my goofy brain forever to actually figure out how), then as soon as I removed the problem item and added it back via console I received the message to talk to Zed again. Krazyone I owe you one! After talking with Zed, I still had to remove that item from my inventory with removeitem - Zed didn't take it from me.
  2.   I've been looking through my previous saves and I don't think I was smart enough to keep one between installing this mod and starting this quest. I had one I think but after the orc in the library bound me up and started the quest I eventually overwrote it thinking everything was going along swimmingly. Think a save prior to installing the mod would mess everything up? I'd hate to lose all the kills and booty I've racked up since then, but maybe there is no other choice. Thanks for the input Coopervane – and at least now I know I've got all three items. Does anyone know if the quest would reset itself if I could use the console to remove the items? I mean the game won't let me drop them now, but I wondered if I use the console to get rid of them if the quest would reset to the stage where I could go look for them all over again and hope the same problem wouldn't repeat? Or if anyone knew if this quest uses stage numbers just like the vanilla quests and what the numbers might be so I could reset the stage using the console? Thank you!!!
  3. Posted this several days back but no answer. Was hoping since there seems to be more activity on this thread now I could try again: First off, hats off to the devious minds here. That said, could someone please help with a problem? It's the forbidden tome quest – I've searched and read through many pages here but haven't found the answer to this particular problem. I got the quest just fine at the library. I found Zed, and found the odd Dynamo core, the odd Gyro, and the odd gear. (I think I have everything I'm supposed to but I'm not absolutely sure.) In my journal the diamond shape is now solid like I'm ready to speak with Zed again. I can't seem to find any more odd stuff on any map. To be sure I had what I needed, I tried the console command "help odd" but didn't see any of the items at all! When I talked to Zed now he just asks "did you have any luck?" I can answer "can I ask where again" or "not yet." I seem to be at a dead end, with my privates locked up tighter than, well, you know… I really need to get past this quest. Am I still missing some odd items? Is there any way I can reset the quest in the console to restart it? (I don't know how to find quest stage numbers for mods.) Could someone with devious experience please point me in the right direction here? Thank you very much for any and all advice!!
  4.   Until you cough or sneeze, anyway . . .

I seem to be at a dead end, with my privates locked up tighter than, well, you know . . .   To make matters worse, it seems like every dragon in Skyrim gets frisky with me whenever I'm trying to get some fingers inside that damn belt, I'm having to smoke weed to get well rested, etc. - so can anyone help me figure how to get this quest progressing??? Thank you!!!
  6.   That was it - thank you!! Went to the plug-ins tab of NMM, unchecked the "cloaks" patch, and it booted right up!
  7. Thank you for replying. During the install for DD for the Masses II, it forces me to choose one of the "Cloaks" options. I can't proceed unless one of them is checked! And I can't start Skyrim to disable it in the MOD menu (if that is how it's done), because with this mod installed by NMM, I CTD before I can start the game. If the "cloaks" esp might be the problem, is there a simple way to manually disable it before I try to start Skyrim? Also, do you know if your mod is compatible with Amazing Follower Tweaks? (Only thing I can think of that might interfere with Masses II, but it seems unlikely to me.) I'd really love to get both Captured Dreams and DD for the Masses running, they sound like a great way to breath new life in Skyrim. Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide, and for taking the time to make these mods. Sorry I'm not more educated on modding, but I am trying to learn!
  8.   Thank you. If I can figure out how to maybe I need to make sure the patch is loaded after Captured Dreams on my system. (I run LOOT, but I guess that isn't fool-proof.)  I haven't really got to try your mod yet in game, but I can start Skyrim again now so I'm looking forward to checking it out. I can't help but think this should make gameplay more interesting! I'm looking into the masses II / captured dreams threads today to see if I can learn more about my problem. I am grateful for you taking the time to share this mod, and for the advice!!   PS. Can the plugs be worn under normal armor, or do they require a harness to hold them in place?
  9. Okay, I've been really wanting to use this mod since I saw it recommended on the captured dreams shop page. I've got all the requirements, and I installed it using the Nexus Mod Manager because I'm one step above an idiot in these matters. But I can't start-up Skyrim with DD for the masses enabled - I CTD right before I get to the continue/load game menu every time. I've ran LOOT and tried everything I can think of. Could this be a conflict with Amazing Follower Tweaks? It can affect your follower clothing, but not other NPCs. Also, I don't understand this install option:   Select One: Cloaks of ---------------------- Cloaks of Skyrim with Winter ------------------ Cloaks + ------------------   During the install, you MUST choose one of these, but I don't have Cloaks of Skyrim or any of it, and it isn't listed as a requirement. Could this cause a problem? If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful!!! This sounds like a mod that would be a lot of fun. THANK YOU!
  10. Had a problem, which may very well be something dumb I've done, but had to ask! I was trying to add a number of new mods to my game, including the devious device mods (assets, expansion, integration), SOS and the Captured Dream Shop. My character is male so when I saw your mod it looked like a must-have. So I added it and your patch for the captured dream shop. My problem is that my game won't load whenever the devious devices for him captured dream shop patch enabled. I've gone through every mod that I installed over the last few days and that one is the one that seems to be conflicting with something or in the wrong order possibly? When I disable it in the Nexus mod manager the game will load, when I enable it I get a CTD prior to the load game or continue menu. I have all the required components (I'm pretty sure), I ran loot in advance to try and get my load order right, but I just can't start the game with your patch in place. Could you possibly tell me if the patch needs to be in some particular position in the load order relative to other mods such as the captured dream shop? Will devious devices for him work with the captured dream shop without the patch?   Please forgive me if these are totally dumb questions, but thank you for your mod and any pointers you might be able to give me! And if there is any information I needed to provide but didn't please don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to rectify the omissions… THANK YOU!     UPDATE: I am utterly confused now, but I'm not sure my problem was with your captured dream shop patch per se. After monkeying around with everything I was brave enough to touch, now my game is loading with both of your files as long as I disable another mod I just added – devious devices for the masses II. (I installed your mod and devious devices for the masses because they were both recommended on the Captured Dream Shop page.) Briefly I was able to start Skyrim with masses II enabled as long as your captured dream shop patch wasn't loaded. That doesn't make sense to me based on what they do but then most of this is like a foreign language to me. I'm wondering if the real problem isn't that masses II is messing up because of a mod I've had for a long time – amazing follower tweaks. AFT affects followers clothing, so maybe that somehow conflicts with masses II adding clothing to NPC's in general? Anyway, I'm still open to suggestions if any of you brilliant folks (and by reading many of the posts I've learned most of you know much more than I do!) have any ideas on how to get all of that working together, and thank you so much for bearing with me!
