  1. Hype dead? The music is great.

FF7 was a game with shitty random number generator gameplay and an acceptable but plot-holey storyline, that was amazing for two reasons -- 1. We were younger back then, 2. Atmosphere, setting, and music.

The atmosphere, setting, and, most importantly, music, are preserved and they've modernized the gameplay from that godawful turn-based combat. Good.

Try playing FF7 with the music muted. Bonus points if you can make it to Act 2 without falling asleep.

  2. Name: Once, my father had a safe where he kept important papers and stashes of cash. When I was 9, I cracked the code, and simply placed a sticky note on the inside that said "Magic" with a big star bubble around it. My father blamed everybody in the house except for me, because there's no way I did it. After that, I reused the "magic" theme countless times, to the point where writing "magic" sarcastically when I do something hacky, lazy, or clever, has practically become my motto.

~magic~ is simply my computer version of that.

Avatar: It's just Flandre from Touhou Project. I have never played Touhou project and know nothing about it -- I just saw the image somewhere and liked it.

  3. I got her to look completely different. The most important facial features are the hardest to find.

It took some effort, but it was worth it, because I hate Nate's voice actor.

In my experience, the keys to making her look better are these:

Face lower -- this one is the most important. Nora has a long, tall face -- to make her look better, and different, select face lower and raise it significantly. You'll thank me later.

Eyes -- Nora's eyes are trying to escape her face. Try lowering them.

Eyes -- Slanting the eyes in or out will completely change her appearance.
Jaw middle, Chin -- Nora has a masculine jaw line and chin. Shrinking it will significantly change her appearance for the better.

Cheekbones -- Again, Nora has masculine cheeks, you'll probably want to bring the cheeks out and scale them up a bit.

  4. You've just inadvertently identified a fact about humanity that shows what entertainment is missing.

LoversLab doesn't attract people because they're perverted, it attracts people because they're people. We play Skyrim repeatedly because the adult mods give us a level of experience and enjoyment that other games simply cannot. It's different and far better than porn games because it provides context and imagination, and characterizes sex, while porn games simply objectify it.

Frankly, the prudish and conservative nature of game ratings and criticism need to stop. Games would be a lot more enjoyable if they addressed the thing humans love the most, Let people have their flings, relationships, and fetishes -- the point of roleplaying is letting people experience the world however they want.

Fact: Sexual desires greatly dominate violent desires in humans. We have modified Skyrim to embrace that fact. Now, we should do so for Fallout 4. Then, you won't have a problem.

I don't think Skyrim will prevent you from having a real relationship, unless your mods are Hentai Pregnant Tentacle Rape stuff.  Frankly, I expect that embracing the fantasies will make you more open in a relationship, even if your mods are futa horse porn.
Just don't bring it up on a first date -- even I, with all my progressive and feminist beliefs, would be made uneasy.

  5. I am using Better Males with SOS, but I always find it unimmersive that all men are overly buff and all men are perfectly toned with perfect muscles. It especially doesn't make any sense for men to have such a muscle-fat ratio unless they were using modern diets and modern exercises to control carbs.

I use EBD to mix bodies for characters so that the body types vary. I would really like a body that is preferably SOS compatable that makes the men look like they live in a dangerous frozen world instead of spring break party in the Bahamas.

We already have this for female characters -- see Body by Leito.

Does anything like this exist for men?

  6. If both the hair and hairline are identical nifs then it is better to just remove the hairline altogether otherwise you get stacking nifs, but each hairpart will be treated as a separate object when they load. Hair and hairline are supposed to be separate parts, but a lot of hair mods have a bad habit of reusing the same nif twice in two hair parts. If that isnt the cause then the person who made the conversion hard copied the models twice in the same nif, the only solution for that is to get the person who rigged them to take them back in the editor and remove the cloned elements.

Sorry, but it is easy to see that none of those are the case.

KSH is one of the most well made if not the most well made hair pack for Skyrim. All of the hairparts and hairs are separate NIF's with marginally different meshes and names. The NIF's do not contain any kind of duplicate meshes, and thousands of people use KSH HDT without any issues.

I use the same hair pack and have no such issues whatsoever. Shadow886's problem is most likely on his end.

Shadow886, if you can answer these questions, we may be able to narrow it down.

    1. Have you confirmed that your XPMSE is installed correctly?

    2. Are you using the latest Racemenu or ECE? If not, what character editor do you use (including vanilla / showracemenu)?

    3. Is it possible that this is happening with all hairs, and you only notice with KSH because the hairs are dynamic?

    4. Have you tried other sets of HDT hairs?

  7. The mod works great, except for the animation selector in the animation creator..

I select an animation for stage 1 and it simply does nothing.
The box reads "None"  indefinitely and I can't do anything to change that.

Is there any way to get around this?

  8. File Name: Follow That Thing

    File Submitter: darkconsole

    File Submitted: 28 Aug 2015

    File Category: Other

    Requires: skse

So this is not a Cinematic walk or anything. This is a straight up "I can't be fucked to walk all the way to Kynesgrove myself so I'll just autofollow Delphine." mod. Then you can alt-tab out back to your pron or whatever it is that was more interesting than that.

It will give you a new spell called "Follow That Thing" as a lesser power. You target something, your character follows it until you press your JUMP key. When you first start following someone, they may/will get a little bit aways from you (typically 1000 units, roughly 50 feet, roughly 15 metres) before your character decides to catch up.

    Issues.

It has a few issues that there is nothing I can really do about. Follower AI seems to be really shit if there is too much of an incline like mountains or steps. You may notice sometimes your character will stop and have to re-figure out where the target it is following went. This can manifest as three behaviours:

    • your character actually runs back a bit to get itself back on path, then run back to who it is following.
    • or it will stop, then start again, then stop again, then start again.
    • or it will for some reason walk really really really really slow until it is able to figure out how to run.

I've tuned the Follow procedure the best I could to try and smooth out these glitches, but it is out of my hands now I think, because I have seen the exact same problems in other mods that take control of your character, and none have found a solution for truly smooth follow. In all these cases it should never truely lose who it is following and eventually be able to catch back up to them. So you will see problems like this in areas like around Haemar's Shame where it is super steep and rocky, and if following an NPC up the steps to Dragons Reach and the like.

This little mod allows me to do something I wanted to do for ages but could never get working, and no other player follower mod I tried would allow.

With this mod, I can follow an actor, then control them with TC, and control the actor in front of me rather than myself.

I can also use Immersive FP's project feature to effectively play an NPC and have my player follow along happily.

    Very happy with this mod.

  9.

It wasn't enough for you to start modifying rydin's work without his permission, now you're undermining him completely and release a mod that does exactly the same thing his mod does?

You're really something else aren't you?

If this mod is rydins code, being used without his permission and against his wishes then I will not use it out of protest. However I dont like to go around throwing accusations and would like to believe he is just trying to assist the community by providing a few extra animations (that we are all waiting for) while rydin is busy.

Unless you know something I do not, this attitude seems wholly unceccesary.

    @FinalCloud

Setekh's post It is not unnecessary it is spot on. Rydin has now removed all PSC files from his mod and they will no longer be available to anyone except for modders because people are not listening to him and are uploading modified versions of his stuff when he said not to. ;http:///topic/38870-non-sexlab-animation-pack/?p=1296988

I for one will continue to support Rydin's mod and will not be supporting this.

There is no correlation whatsoever between Rydin's code and FSAP.

Rydin's NSAP code is very slick and can handle N animations, while FSAP has only the minimum required functionality and later iterations are going to run into fun when they run into the limitations of SkyUI's MCM.

Okay, I have stayed out of this thread to avoid the drama but yet mow I feel I must speak up and defend myself as well as explain the situation. With words like "facist" and "ego" floating around, there needs to be clairty put on the situation.

Firstly, I'd not force nor ask for FSAP to be removed. I have said many times and I believe in the first community rule. "Don't loke a mod direction, make your own". I firmly stand by this rule and there are prime examples floating on the forum. The modder made thier choice as I was still angry, yet a choice they made from freewill. I explained they can do as they please and I have no right in stopping them.

My only irk was the concept. The scripts and such were original and nothing was copied. But for me, my arguement was "if someone else is gonna do what NSAP does, should I bother with NSAP? Will it be required? Should I quit NSAP and invest my time elsewhere instead of lagging behind?"

I think those making cruel or unfair comments really need to take a step back and understand this is an issue they are no part of and stop making things worse with false accusations. Both the modder and I want to put things to bed so I ask that this starts now.

FSAP is an interesting idea with some significant flaws, some of which have already been addressed.

NSAP is by far the highest quality mod of its kind, and I invite anyone who doesn't think so to compare the scripts in FSAP to that of an older NSAP. The two mods can coexist with no problem.

To boil my opinion on the "debate" in this thread down into a simple sentence:

NSAP is the quality, FSAP has the potential to become the quantity.

  10. Hey folks. I made kind ... animations

This isn't a good way to do this. You are not going to find enough five-stage threesome animations to replace, and, even if you do, you will be very lucky if the cum is on the right actors and in the right places.

Although Ashal discourages doing it this way, it is relatively straightforward to add animations by editing a couple files.

It isn't much more complicated at all to add the animations without editing SexLab's scripts, as Rydin's Non Sexlab Animation Pack does. I will likely be writing a tutorial on this in the next few days.

Rydin will probably update his Non Sexlab Animation Pack to include Leito's new animations soon enough.

  11. I have skimpy armour mods, but I only use them in a sexual context. It's hard to be immersed while wearing something ridiculous, and I feel embarrassed if my characters indecent, as if it were me dressed like that.

I always suggest minimal skimpy armour -- it's fun to look at for a while, then you get used to seeing it and the feeling is temporary. That is assuming, of course, that you don't get invested in the character and can stand to wear skimpy armour regularly.

However, if you wear skimpy armour rarely, it leaves more to the imagination and it's more rewarding when the clothes do come off, especially in a game with mods such as SexLab. And, of course, it's a lot more immersive when your character is dressing like he/she is, well, trying to fend of dragons in a frozen wasteland.

What I like to do is this:

Have skimpy versions of normal armour installed, but as standalone armours.
Then, equip them on characters with the console in sexual contexts, and unequip them when it's back to normal gaming.

    ]

For example, I installed the Better Males skimpy armour and HMM What To Wear, and I created a mod based on the meshes from those mods that makes them separate armours, and equip them on characters in sexual contexts with the console, as if they only partially undressed.

However, out of sexual contexts, I avoid skimpy armour altogether.

Have you tried starting the game through Steam? Not through your mod manager (using SKSE). This happened to me because of a Skyrim update (SKSE wasn't compatible anymore) but I don't think there was any Skyrim updates for awhile. Might be your SKSE got corrupted.

Also could be one of the mods got corrupted and no longer is working properly. If you still cant get it to work try uninstalling all the mods you have and starting with a clean save/start (wagon etc) no mods, no SKSE.

You do however have some serious work and trouble shooting to get this fixed. Most of the easy fixes have been explored and used already. Now is the hard parts.

I hope you are wrong, it would take literally all of my vacation to do that.

Not as complex as you think. The first statement is just to verify if it was a SKSE issue or something else. If it is SKSE (regular game works except the SKSE scripted mods) and you are able to get past the logo then it is some corruption of a mod you have. If it does work in "pure" form without SKSE and gets you past your logo then you have more work to do. Reinstalling a fresh copy of the CURRENT VERSION OF SKSE you have been using is a quick and easy fix. You state you had a perfectly functional game just yesterday and made no changes to the files since using it (I assume yesterday) so there isn't anything that has been altered by you. = corruption. ;).

The adding mods in will be a bit of a pain but you can add as many as 5 or so related mods and fire up the game (from clean uninstalled save at character creation) your problem fortunately is logo related. Once you get past the logo. exit and add 5 more. You already have them in your mod folder just need to reinstall them. When you crash with the logo you know the bad mod. If you get to the end after fresh installations and everything works one of the installed mods went bad and you corrected it with your re-installation. Entire vacation.. doubt it, a day or half a day's work is more like. it. yes this sucks but it does happen. This very thing happened just toward the beginning of this year and I went through about 150 mods in about 4 hours and I had a glitch that caused CTD later in the game. ( I used clean saves from Nexus to get me close to the location I needed to test. )

After that I keep my MO folder backed up frequently. I am willing to waste some considerable hard drive space to be able to reinstall the entire MO folder again in minutes as opposed to 4 yours of trouble shooting.

(keep in mind all this testing will create bad saves which will need to be removed. Any temporary saves or ones you make will need to be clean out when you do get things working. But of course you already know that ;). )

    Wish you best of luck

It's a few hours of work when you're using NMM and Mod Organizer. When you have your own (clean) files that you need to preserve and avoid using any kind of mod manager because they cannot understand esoteric mod orders and always screw them up, it becomes a day's work, and I have two days of vacation, one of which I've spent on this. :c

Zerosleepless, I tried that multiple times
